TNA News: Mick Foley on Squidbillies, Interest in Lucha Stars, New TNA TV Video, More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 06.09.2009

- According to SuperLuchas Magazine, TNA is again looking to bring in some lucha talent to the promotion. On the suggestion of Hector Guerrero, they are currently considering Mistico and Cibernetico. It is being reported that they have already met with Mistico, and that they hope to meet with Cibernetico soon.

- Mick Foley will be featured on the cover of the upcoming Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine.

- Thanks to 411 reader JH for sending the following along, regarding Mick Foley on a recent edition of Squidbillies:
Mick Foley voiced a character on Sunday night's episode of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim show Squidbillies. The character was a professional wrestler that beats up the father squid and then the son squid has to go on steroids to fight him.

The character looked similar to Hulk Hogan, was named Thunder Clap (like Thunderlips), and was going through a messy divorce.

It didn't sound like Foley at first because of voice effects, but as the episode went on you could tell it was him. He sounded like was doing a Cactus Jack promo for most of the episode. He wasn't listed in the credits, but that may be because most Adult Swim shows are non-union so members of SAG or AFTRA are either uncredited or use a pseudonym.

Foley first appears at 3 minutes into the episode. The episode is about 12 minutes long and can be viewed here.

- Here is the latest edition of TNA TV, featuring Consequences Creed and So Cal Val:
