Four-Way Match To Crown New WWE Champion on Raw Next Week
Posted by Larry Csonka on 06.09.2009
Who will fight for the gold?
During tonight's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi, it was announced that there would be a four-way match to crown the new WWE Champion on next week's three-hour Raw. The match will be John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. The Big Show vs. Triple H.

No MVP?
Posted By: Guest#7663 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:49 PM
WELLLLLL IT'S THE BIG SHOW
Posted By: Bill (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:49 PM
dear god no. they can't put at least ONE interesting person in there?
Posted By: Guest#5464 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:50 PM
Well its not HHH vs. Orton again so its mildly refreshing. Keep Big Show down for 10 of the 15 minutes and it could be a good match
Posted By: Guest#8140 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:50 PM
But...I don't want any of those people to win.
Posted By: Steve307 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:51 PM
Please have Cena hurt Big Show before the match and let MVP in it. No one cares about Show anymore.
Posted By: scottysnacks (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:53 PM
Interesting..I would say HHH wins the title but that fued doesn't need a title between them. The Big Show/Cena fued almost needs the title between them if they are going to continue with it.

The Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame !!!

Bah Gawd! More CENA! Yay for MORE CENA!

why not save all the hassle and hurt bastista on sunday in the cage. Could have been more dramatic, and have orton retain. this is why i dont watch wrestling anymore
Posted By: confused (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:56 PM
Didn't MVP declare that he's going to wrestle for that belt?? **shakes head**
Then again, Kennedy did the same and it worked out so well for him.
Posted By: STAYMATIC (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:58 PM
By all rights, Jericho should win. His awesome reigns supreme, even though he is currently on SmackDown AND the I.C. champ. Silly things like that matter little to Jericho. He is above the rules of mere mortal men.
And that's more than just a one-shot deal.
Posted By: Will_Helm (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 10:58 PM
Orton regains the title, making Batista's PPV win completely pointless....
great job Creative Team, please make sure we get a Koslov squash match as an undercard appetizer
Posted By: Matt G (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:00 PM
If HHH wins i will cry
Posted By: Guest#2013 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:02 PM
No matter who wins the audience loses
Posted By: Macbeth (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:02 PM
No Miz?
Posted By: Miz (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:04 PM
How did I know the match by just seeing "four?"
Posted By: Guest#1653 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:06 PM
Umm let see john cena and big show wont win they have a feud
so i think randy will win
Posted By: Endy (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:07 PM
so nice to see Triple H come back and instantly insert himself into the fatal 4 way, and take away MVP's opportunity to prove himself.
Posted By: mp (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:07 PM
good to see the wwe using this as an opportunity to get some of the other guys over.
Posted By: wrestling is dead (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:07 PM
Love that elevation of talent, WWE. I'm not saying give an unproven guy the belt, but at least give a solid upper mid-card guy the chance to compete in the match...like MVP?
Posted By: Nick M. (Registered) on June 09, 2009 at 11:08 PM
And HHH title reign number 14 here we come... :(
Posted By: sad wrestling fan (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:09 PM
If Orton cleanly pins Hunter to win the title then all will be forgiven in my book.

Introducing your WWE Champion for the 291st time Triple H

what no mvp? this is a perfect opportunity for him
Posted By: Guest#6749 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:10 PM
Big Show should win, then have a 3 way fued between Cena and Miz, while HHH/Orton fued to a Hell in a Cell.
Posted By: Drew (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:11 PM
Never thought id say this but i hope the show ends in a no contest or something. Dont want any of them win, If for nothing else putting MVP in the match gives that "what if" hope of an upset..The Miz aint about to feud with the next world champ(no cena), Big Show (just NO), doubt they would have the balls to give HHH the belt back this early. So Orton retains, id really be shocked by anything else.
Posted By: WOW (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:13 PM

I hope there is a fifth option for being champ.
Posted By: jj (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:23 PM
Cena vs Orton vs HHH vs Big Show
and the winner will be Edge somehow
I'd rather see a tournament
Posted By: Guest#1819 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:23 PM
really!? this is the best they could do!?... come on...
Show is the lesser of four evils. What a waste, they could've put MVP in there somewhere, taken a effin chance on something different not the same ol' crap.
Posted By: WTF2009 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:24 PM
What, no The Miz in the Mixture?
Posted By: who cares? (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:29 PM
The only way this works out is if:
*Orton punts HHH in the head and virtually kills him
*Cena kills Big Show
*Orton vs Cena where Orton destroys Cena for a good 5-10 minutes BOOM RKO! 1-2-3!
Your New WWE Champion - Common Sense
Posted By: Brad (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:31 PM
LOL@MVP saying he would be part of the mix but now he's not even in the match and they have guys in the match that you just don't want to see with the belt
Posted By: Erik (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:33 PM
I actually hope Show wins this. Then turn him face and give him back his impressionist gimmick. Showster baby!
Posted By: Jeremy (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:38 PM
WWE.com has already removed Vicki Guerrero from the Raw Superstars page.
FINALLY............!!!
Now only if we can do something about the current fatal 4 way match for the WWE Championship???
Posted By: Guest#9095 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:40 PM
Okay, so we know Big Show isn't going to win da belt, so either Orton, Cena or da Game will win da match.
Posted By: Dwayne (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Good God! This is awful. None of them should win. In fact, there is no one on the Raw roster who should win. I have no use for MVP or the Miz or really anyone on Raw. For the very first time ever, I looked at wwe.com and looked at the entire roster. No one, NO ONE on that roster deserves to be champion. Frankly, Batista was the best Raw has to offer, and he is injured. That is sad.
Hardy, Edge, CM Punk, Jericho, Rey, Undertaker, even Morrison or Kane would be a more deserving champion than ANYONE on Raw. I don't watch ecw, but from what I have seen, there are a bunch of guys (starting with the always entertaining Christian) who would make a better champion.
At least they are not talking about putting the belt on Shane or Vince, althought that would make more sense.
Posted By: xtomx (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:42 PM
It'll go back to Orton. I'm calling it.... Second pick is HHH... Not that I want either to win.... Actually, I agree with the others, don't want any of them to win. Maybe Hornswaggle can appear and cash in his secret "Midget under the ring" contract and grab the surprise victory....
Posted By: Guest#0673 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:46 PM
No Paul Roma?
Posted By: Guest#0353 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:53 PM
You're all retarded. Big Show is winning and Cena/Big Show becomes a title feud for the summer. That was the ENTIRE point of Batista's win. To vacate the belt and transition it over to Raw's other top feud. Orton/HHH is going to continue non-title. How does nobody else see that?
Posted By: Guest#2444 (Guest) on June 09, 2009 at 11:57 PM
I would rather watch Umaga vs Kennedy vs RVD vs Vickie
Posted By: qwerty (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:10 AM
Umaga is going to fool everybody and destroy Cena, enters himself in the match and wins the title. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease let that happen. I swear WWE is gettin ridiculous
Posted By: Andre (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:10 AM
seriously? Why put the belt on Batista on the first place? Argh
Ok maybe this will work if...
All four guys come out to do some kinda big promo to start the show. "I'm gonna win" "legend killer" " I AM THE GAAAAAAME" "Biggest hands in history" etc. etc. Then Show tries to cheap shot Cena, misses and hits HHH then Cena beats up Show, with help from HHH, Orton hightails it cuz he's a bitch. Show is out of the four way.
New GM (Let's say...Moe) declares the replacement for Show will be the winner of the Miz vs MVP. Match follows with Cena interfering and costing the Miz the match. MVP is in the four way.
Main event sees the four way. Orton fights HHH and Cena fights MVP, MVP shows off his skills against the other main event guys, proving he can hang with them. the finish sees the Miz coming down to take out Cena for revenge from earlier while HHH gets taken out by Orton, then Orton hits the RKO on MVP. 1, 2, foot on the ropes! Maybe MVP can actually win this thing! He's groggy but still fighting!
He goes to the top rope, but as he comes down Orton hits the RKO! 1, 2 3! Orton wins!
Now Show gets taken out for a couple of weeks due to "injury" from Cena. Cena and the Miz cost each other the title/title shot. MVP showed he can hang with the main event guys and Orton is the TRUE champ. and maybe with HHH "you came back too soon" "But I still have the desire!" can happen.
Hey it's not great, but it's SOMETHING.
Posted By: argh (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:13 AM
Orton had BETTER win! Triple H and John Cena spark no interest. Big Show is on SmackDown, and Orton's the only one with any potential as the champ.
Posted By: A-Ron (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:19 AM
The winner and new WWE heavyweight champion is......SANTINA MARELLA!!!!
Posted By: chucky (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:20 AM
Triple Lame returns and they put up a high second hour..they need someone to be the champ, guess who's winning???
Posted By: Butters4Prez (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:46 AM
I hate Raw they screwed MVP out of his match, from beating Matt Hardy to get in that match, maybe hopefully some storyline can get him in it i don't care for any of those four. It will be worse than the steel cage from Extreme Rules.
Posted By: Juice (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 01:03 AM
I wouldnt mind Orton, Show, MVP and the Miz. Thats some different chemistry.
Posted By: Mr.Benjamin (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 01:34 AM
The way I see it there are only two possible scenarios. Triple H wins outright due to nepotism (you marks can bite my ass, he sucks and always will suck) OR Orton does absolutely NOTHING the entire match then steals the pin after Cena and Hunter obliterate The Big Show. I'm hoping and praying for option two.
Posted By: Dean Chan Has Movie Tickets (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 01:34 AM
with logic, none of these guys deserve the strap, much less be in a match that automatcially awards one of these guys the belt. was a tournamet on a 3 hour show just out of the question?
-Show is on a losing streak to Cena, and has done nothing to show he deserves a shot.
-Cena hasn't been in any kind of contention for a title since backlash, and all of a sudden he's in? no number 1 contender match, nothing?
-trips just fucking came back and suddenly he gets to compete for a world title?
and if anyone, orton does get to be in this match cuz of his rematch clause, but given his actions monday, "breaking" Batista's arm, shouldn't WWE authority punish him by not letting him compete?
I suppose too much realism is overkill. what a fucking mark!

did somebody say shawn stasiak?
Posted By: shawn stasiak (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 02:15 AM
i don't want that long nosed freak bastard to win the wwe title for 100th time. i'll go with big show as i'm sick and tired of watching cena, orton and especially triple h in the title hunt
Posted By: Guest#3559 (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 03:17 AM
Can Raven and Shane douglas show up for this 1 ?
Posted By: BobZ (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 03:32 AM
Why the hell would Orton get a title shot again? I mean, from a mark perspective, he would be being rewarded for breaking the champs arm (which makes NO sense), and from a smarts perspective, Orton would be getting rewarded for his sloppy in- ring performances when he should have been fired for them. Way to go WWE creative. A Fucking five year old could create stories that make more sense than what you write.
Posted By: Anthony (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 04:10 AM
This would have been a great chance to put some different people into the mix. Orton should obviously be in the match, and I guess Cena since he has the momentum of two wins over Big Show, but why Show and Triple H? If Kennedy had still been there he'd have been in this match, but even in his absence you could easily justify MVP and even Chavo being in there. Obviously neither would win, but damn it, shake things up somewhat!

Posted By: poffo316 (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 05:22 AM
I hope The belt goes around my BigShow.
Cena, H and Orton had it too long. Give it to my Man BigShow then let everyone go at him if you all say BigShow is a loser. He's not.
Posted By: Rotten Ronnie and Dickie Dudle (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 05:47 AM
OK, good---I know I can keep ignoring Raw. They're never going to feature anybody who's at all interesting.
Posted By: Paul (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 07:34 AM
Either of these outcomes will happen:
1. Big Show wins WWE title. Drops it to Cena at either the next PPV or the one after.
2. Cena wins, retains against Big Show at next PPV, goes on to reign for most of 2009.
Orton and HHH will effectively prevent each other from winning the title, then go on to Hell In A Cell.
I'm not very excited about this (or anything on RAW since the draft) but I would MUCH rather see Cena carry the title then the other 3 lumbering stiffs.

I'm sure Vince McMahon will read this and not have ANY of them win, because you want him to. I'd imagine that Vince would put the belt on your personal favorite wrestler...Goldust!
Posted By: idiot savant (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 11:48 AM
This is so WCW. You know when a guy can come in off the streets and get a title shot. Batista-automatic number one contender straight off the streets now we have HHH fresh off the streets gets a title shot. Who is booking this crap??
Posted By: FMX (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:03 PM
Where is MVP or Miz even, I will read the recap here and save myself all 2 hours BC either Trips or Cena will win and if that happens im done with RAW.
Posted By: guest1228 (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 12:54 PM
There you go WWE crative. Wonderful match. Is Vince Russo back with the company or did someone call him down in TNA and ask for a suggestion? This is why I am glad I do not have the USA Network. From the looks of things RAW looks like absolute crap due to the fact that 90% of the guys on the show are HGH/roid freaks and the sad thing is Smackdown is taped, meaning why waste the time on it when the results are already out. Smackdown does have the more entertaining guys on their show, but its taped, so unless something happens that you want to see, why tune in? As for RAW, Super Cena = Boring or Old School Hogan Character, HHH = wanna be Ric Flair with a wanna be bad ass attitude, Big Show = Big Slow, Orton = crappy wrestling matches. Cannot really say much for the rest of the roster, I don't even follow it really anymore, but it can't be than great. I guess it is time for this old WWE fan to hang up the remote or change the channel. Best on your future endevors WWE, your fired.

Can all of them lose? I would rather see a vacant title than have any of these four with the belt, actually Orton would be okay if he got rid of "legacy".
Posted By: Guest#9307 (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 01:28 PM
hahahaha if you look at my comments on the last raw I called this exact match...good job wwe you are so fn creative...I am done watching this crap
Posted By: b (Guest) on June 10, 2009 at 05:23 PM
now here is how I book this to make wwe interesting again...I have HHH win this beating big show...cena slides into ring during celebration and chair shots him as all three join in on beating and create stable...good guys try to make save but are all beat down...new stable nwo like is created
