World Wrestling Council Results from Bayamon, PR on June 7th 2009
- Double Image defeat The D'Jour Twins. Nice little opener with the heels cheating to win. It is hard to watch to twin teams face each other because you don't know who is who.
- "The Phenomenal" BJ defeats "The Stylish Man" Johnny Styles by pinfall after nailing Styles with an RKO/Diamond Cutter/Ace Crusher. BJ then hypes his match for the Universal Title with Steve Corino at the Anniversary Show saying he is ready and focused to become the new champion.
- "The Man-Beast" Angel defeats Mr. X by pinfall.
-WWC Junior Heavyweight Title: 3-Way Dance
"Mr. Puerto Rico" Tommy Diablo defeats Carlitos & "The Havana Pitbull" Ricky Reyes to retain the title. Diablo pinned Reyes, which is sure to cause some friction between the heels.
- Orlando Colon comes out to curse Rey Gonzales because Rey keeps saying that Orlando is La Pesadilla and because of this the fans and the locker room have turned on him. Rey comes out and basically says that it is not his fault Orlando lacks the balls to do things and has to hide behind a mask to do it. This of course, leads to the next match.
- Orlando Colon defeats "Mr. Raitings" Rey Gonzales by pinfall. Jose Chaparro runs in, which causes a distraction as Rey goes to fight him off. Orlando uses this chance to nail Rey with the superkick and pins him. Rey then calls for a mic and says that he won't let them steal his hair at the Anniversary Show and that he will have a friend in his corner. Orlando says that he will be cheering for Rey in that match. I bet the "friend" Rey speaks off is Carlos Colon.
- Hype for the Colon Open Challenge. Basically Carlito and Primo made an open challenge for the WWC Anniversary Show and now they are hyping up who will accept the challenge. Chaparro came out and said he is bringing a tag team from Mexico. Shane Sewell comes out and says he has spoken to his friend Sean Morley/Val Venis and that it might be time for the Canadian Glamour Boys to reunite and accept that challenge. Then Thunder & Lightning come out and said that they are the most dominant tag team in Puerto Rico and that they deserve to be in that match.
- "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino defeats Shane Sewell by referee's decision. Of course, the ref was Mr. Mac. Shane basically dominates the match, but when he goes for the pin Mac "injures" his arm. Another ref comes out and BRAWLS with Mac, but when the situation gets under control Mac declares Corino the winner. WTF?
-WWC Tag Team Titles:
Thunder & Lightning defeat Aaron "The Superstar Idol" Stevens & La Pesadilla by DQ. Rey came out to watch the match and invited Orlando Colon to come out and join him, which of course he did not. Pesadilla uses brass knuckles and covers Lightning, giving the titles to the heels. But Rey came into the ring and explained what happened to the ref, who overturned the decision to DQ win for the faces.
