Good to see TNA is capitalizing on something they have no involvement in. Maybe they'll put out a press release with an offer from Misawa's Ghost to be Chairman of MEM.

Stay classy, Dixie.

to those that were saying he was an out of shape loser, to those that said who cares, i've never heard of him....shut up! misawa was one of the greatest wrestlers EVER! better than bret hart, ric flair, the rock, or any other mainstream american wrestler you may have heard of. misawa was a multiple time AJPW triple crown champion, considered by many at the time to be the only true world championship in wrestling. if you have no respect for misawa, you truly do not understand what a great wrestler is. if you were the triple crown champion in the 90's, you were the best in the business at that moment. it's undisputed. before you open your smart mark mouth, do yourself a favor and spare yourself the embarrassment. go onto youtube and look up the misawa / kawada series. it's considered by many to be the greatest series of matches in all of wrestling. if you've never watched a misawa match, you are not a true fan of professional wrestling. your nothing more than sports entertainment smart marks. in the 90's, misawa was'nt just considered to be the greatest wrestler in the world...he WAS the greatest wrestler in the world. while the wwf was running on diesel power and hulkamania was running wild in wcw, misawa was dropping opponents on they're necks, working one of the stiffest styles the business has ever seen. smart marks, just shut it. your speaking on something that you know nothing about. roaring elbows to all who disrespect the great name of mitsuharu misawa.

tna is a bunch of marks. the fat jap never worked for them so they never had to say anything. he never worked in wwe so they do not have to say anything. you will eventually see the story on the wwe's industry news section and that's the only acknowledgement you need from them. tna is a bunch of marks so of course they'll jump at any opportunity to get their name out there.

It doesn't take any talent to go out there and stiff people relentlessly. That's a terrible argument. Not taking anything away from the guy as he was good, but I don't have any more respect for wrestlers that beat the hell out of each. If anything it lowers my opinion of them.

You said it Tiger Driver, although I have to disagree about your smart mark comment. You can't BE a smart mark without at least: A. knowing who Misawa was and B. at least respecting him, if not being a fan.

These idiots who've never seen a Kobashi vs Misawa classic but rave about whatever Cena match they just saw are not real pro wrestling fans.

It takes a real tough guy to insult a dead man from the safety of your mom's basement.

Your post did not make sense.

I asked how is TNA capitalizing and you said how is not.

I guess WWE is now capitalizing too then. That John Laurinaitis just wants to capitalize too!

That's exactly the type of ignorant bullshit that 411 has gained a bad reputation for. spewing negativity in a feeble attempt to be the coolest kid in the room.

R.I.P. Misawa, one of the baddest men to ever step inside a wrestling ring.

Posted By: bighustle (Guest)  on June 14, 2009 at 04:32 PM

At least TNA acknowledges that other wrestling companies exist instead of acting like they are the only ones out there. Also when TNA went to Japan, lot of their wrestlers met Misawa

No, don't answer the question with another question- how is it capitalizing? They are not making any money out of this at all, nor gaining anything from showing their respect to a true legend.

You want to see someone take advantage of a wrestler's death then watch Rey Mysterio in 2006.

Posted By: Alcoholic (Guest) on June 14, 2009 at 02:08 PM"

they did say something when they both died u fools. Sherri had recently done an appearance from them and Killer Kowalski is responsible for Kaz's entire career.

You guys are acting like TNA is putting on a tribute show for the guy. At least they took the time out to show some respect for a true wrestling legend who tragically passed in the wrestling ring. Something WWE and its "Universe" won't do because they're too damn narcisistic to take a glimpse at the rest of the wrestling world. In fact, they're too busy trying to separate themselves from wrestling to pay a shred of homeage to the man who was responsible for representing pro wrestling throughout the 90s when they weren't. While WWE force fed their fans lame gimmick after lame gimmick, Misawa was representing wrestling at its most basic (and effective) level. The guy helped carry the mega attraction that was the SPORT of professional wrestling throughout the 90s. Not some Saturday afternoon live action cartoon fest like WWF and WCW at the time. In Japan, wrestling was treated as a legitimate sport and while ,yes, it was a work, Misawa maintained that legitimate image better than anyone.

And to all of you guys who are commenting on his physique, could you really be any more of a faggot? And I'm not saying that to bash gay people. I agree with Chris Rock in saying that the biggest faggots are usually heterosexual. Before Vince McMahon's fetish for body builders became the norm in American pro wrestling, wrestlers didn't have chisseled, tanned, greesy buldging muscles. You can't measure a man's athleticism, endurance, and agility based on how ripped he is. Misawa in his prime wasn't at all ripped nor did he have buldging greasy tanned muscles, yet he could probably wrestle circles around Triple H, Batista, Cena, and any other wrestler you can name with the infamous "right look".

What do you mean by "capitalizing"? In order to capitalize on anything you have to get something in return. What did TNA get in return here? Absolutely nothing.

Misawa fucking deserves this recognition, why *shouldn't* TNA make a small statement on his death?
