Details and Confirmed Matches for WWC's Anniversary Show

WWE wrestlers to make apperances, Felix Trinidad as special referee and an unlikely return.
Here are the latest details for the WWC Anniversary Show:
- The show will be held on July 11th, 2009 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, PR.
- The reason WWC opted not to use the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum this year is because fans complained about hidden costs (taxes and fees) imposed by Ticket Center and Ticket Pop (the companies that have distribution rights for all events in the coliseum) and WWC decided to use the old Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum and distribute tickets themselves. This should lead to lower ticket prices.
- The event will be dedicated this year to current WWE Spanish Announcer Hugo Savinovich. Hugo worked for WWC as wrestler, manager and announcer during the 70's and 80's.
- WWC has confirmed apperances by WWE wrestlers and WWE Divas. Although no divas names have been revealed, WWC announced that MVP will face Umaga at the show. Also WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo Colon issued an open challenge for the show. The challenge was accepted by current WWC Tag Team Champions Thunder & Lightning.
- Last week, Shane Sewell won a battle royal to determine the #1 contender at the WWC Puerto Rican Title. Shane will challenge "Superstar Idol" Aaron Stevens at the event.
- It has been confirmed that current NWA On Fire Champion and NWA North American Champion Apolo will make his return to WWC at the event, facing Bronco #1. It seems this will be a one time deal.
- Former boxing star Felix "Tito" Trinidad will be the special guest referee for the Hair vs Mask Match between Rey Gonzales & La Pesadilla.

Idol Stevens vs. Shane Sewell??? God I hope Sewell cuts a shoot promo on Booker T and then KC James does a run in! I can smell the ratings now...

Umaga was released... no? If he is going to work the show, I imagine it wouldn't be under the "Umaga" gimmick due to copyright, which Vince likes to hold on to. Perhaps Samoa Ed?

Vince will change the card bcz Umanga is no longer in the WWE and MVP is...so there is a potential conflict of Vince's interest there!!!

Question: "The Phenomenal" BJ is not BJ Whitmer, but a local WWC mainstay. He's not a bad wrestler but has absolutely NOTHING on AJ Styles. They're basically pushing him since they're very thin on young talent that can break the perennial WWC "glass ceiling" (if Triple H could see that glass ceiling, he'll blush 'til his cheeks spill blood) that only wrestlers named Colon and Ray Gonzalez can break.

What he meant was this show is after the next WWE PPV. Colons defend against Legacy. If Colons lose then, would it be a spoiler.
