Well then, FX has three options that I see. They could contact ROH. Better yet, contact the NWA and get them back on TV again. I've enjoyed the stuff I've seen on their website that they broadcast on Colours. Or, contact Bischoff, Jimmy Hart or somebody and start a new promotion.
Then again, there are some crazier ideas. They could talk with TNA and get them to jump as soon as possible, restarting a Monday night war. Not just crazy, suicidal at this point.
Or, have Vince go to his trophy case and pull out the WCW or AWA name and "restart" one of those companies. WCW would seem most likely. Bring in Flair or Arn as the GM or to restart a new Horsemen stable, put the belt on Jericho with his WCW ties.
Add Mysterio, Show, Helms and a few others. Heck, they could bring in Buff, Hall (if sober enough), Alex Wright, Disco... Even if they intended to release most of these guys in a few months in favor of young talent, they add old school WCW cred.
The new WCW would air on Wednesdays. It won't happen, of course. I doubt wrestling would even come to FX, but if it did it would be one of the first three scenarios if it happened.

ROH to FX?

Well, the WWE DOES have a certain DVD coming out, about a certain company, a company that put on a wrestling show. And since we all know what happened the last time WWE did that. FX MAY be getting their wrestling show sooner rather than later. It would definitely do better than Superstars. Then again, that ain't saying much.

Maybe the WWE should think about moving Smackdown to the FX Network. Its got to be better than My Network right?

You too can have a body like Tommy Dreamer.

wwe would not be able to put smackdown on fx even if they wanted to because nbc universal would not allow wwe to compete with them on another cable channel.
if wwe wants sd on cable so it can draw good cable ratings then they have to get a deal with usa, sci fi, bravo, etc which are under the nbc universal umbrella.
wwe is NOT bringing back wcw. wcw is dead and has been dead since 2001.
the only thing mcmahon needs to do is to sell wcw dvds as long as there are wcw fans who still live in the 1990's and want to buy them

Not sure i would start watching wrestling again but atleast i would have the option as it is now i dont get Smackdown

OF COURSE, fx is 5 times better than my net tv for smackdown.
however, the problem is that nbc universal would never allow wwe to put a wrestling show on an opposing cable network and help fx get ratings.
wwe needs to speak with nbc universal and get sd moved to either bravo or even syfy on any night besides friday and the ratings will shooot up to the high 2.0s each week or even over 3.0.
one time, the wwe divas appeared on a bravo tv show and they got a 3.0 cable rating.
my net tv is a joke and the fact that they have zero shows and they put sd on fridays is an even bigger joke.
hell, in fall 2009, my net tv will be a programming service except for sd, there will be zero new programming.

this shows that wrestling is not in a bad state financially and is only growing. so thats good but obviously we need better storylines

fx can't get a wrestling promotion because wwe can't put their shows on cable outside nbc universal. Plus FX is owned by fox, which owns mynetwork tv, so fox would not want to sour their relationship with wwe.

When AOL/Time Warner decided they didn't want Wrestling on TNT anymore, I was hoping Bischoff would negotiate a deal with FX and bring WCW there.
By the way, what's up with AOL/Time Warner these days..? yeah, nice move guys.
Maybe Bischoff can find some investors and get some money going to start up a company and have them compete with TNA/Spike, WWE/USA, maybe HDnet/ROH.
More competition means we, the viewers, win.
