Various News: Status Of The Unified Tag Title Match At Night Of Champions, Mr. Kennedy Is Mr. Anderson Again
Posted by Larry Csonka on 07.13.2009

- While WWE.com has coverage of Edge's injury and recent surgery, they are still advertising the Unified Tag Team Title match with him involved at Night of Champions. It is expected that WWE will run an angle on Raw tomorrow night to explain the injury and then change the match. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

- Here is a video of the artist formerly known as "Mr. Kennedy" down in Puerto Rico. He will now be going back to using the "Mr. Anderson" name.

Mr. Anderson with Trinity as his manager. Book it.

Reports have confirmed that Mr. Anderson did indeed tear his left quad when the name change occured. He is expected to be out for a period of as little as 6 hours to 8 months, depending on the health insurance provision of his indy contracts.

Doesn't quite have the same ring to it, does it? Repeatedly shouting his name into a microphone was all he was ever good for anyway.

They should put Jericho at the announcer's table on all 4 shows until Night of Champions, scouting who he wants as a partner before ultimately getting up to present The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, or Jack Swagger with the belt.

You can't have Dolph Ziggler as his partner he's gonna fight Mysterio for the belt. so its down to probably Swagger, a HEEL Carlito, or even The Miz. Or a stupid idea just have The Colons back as champs. Til the Legacy rightfully win the tag belts.

I was never a big fan of Kennedy but I can't knock'em for trying to make a living.

Is the Oracle somewhere in San Juan?

Give Jericho the chance to pick a partner and then we can get a lot of good entertainment spots of him passing on Chavo, Ziggler, Ryder, Noble, etc. Maybe even something recalling when he 'flavoured' Regal's tea.

Then when he can't find anyone they can force him to draw a name. If Legacy is intended to win he draws Khali or Mysterio or Michaels and you get the reluctant partners that turn on each other. Or you could have Morrison and start a new feud when they fall apart.

or if its too soon for Legacy to win then you have Miz or Christian or even Kane as Jericho's partner until they ultimately clash in a couple weeks time.

I know some of those guys are already in matches but none are in meaningful feuds at this time and I think working with Jericho for the tag straps would be a step up.

Fuck Mizanin. They should never hang a belt on that useless sack of shit.

It should be Jericho and Christian

Did anyone forget that THE Brian Kendrick has been doing an angle where he's been looking for a tag partner? Bingo.

Plus...it plays into some past history, with Spanky having been trained by Jericho's arch-nemesis Shawn Michaels.

How about this: a triple threat match between Jericho, Rhodes, and Dibiase. The winner gets to pick their partner to hold the titles with. I know there is already a triple threat on the card, but this would be a better use of the concept.

I dont see people making jokes at Edge's expense and he's injured all the time as well! Anderson was actually what he went by in OVW, so it is fine with me! Just let the name guy wrestle!

WWE should have kept Kennedy but have him replace Lillian as an announcer.

I also don't see Edge injuring WWE's main-eventers either...

Edge also wrestled for over 10 years in the WWE before he got hurt. Anderson got hurt right away plus ran his mouth saying I don't do drugs anymore when in fact he still did. Thats why you don't see any Edge jokes.

Maybe they'll have THE Brian Kendrick replace Edge.

Remember that angle? You know.. when he was trying to find a tag team partner..?

Posted By: WMD (Guest)  on July 13, 2009 at 06:47 PM

Kendrick as Edge's replacement = 8 types of great.

Posted By: Guest#7897 (Guest)  on July 14, 2009 at 02:34 AM

I saw him on a house show card about a month before he debuted on TV and he was using the Anderson name at the time;
I was confused when he said Kennedy on TV.

Obviously he's just going back to an un-trademarked (and probably his real) name.
