Beefcake Replacing Jose Canseco in Boxing Match
July 24, 2009 | Posted by
We reported earlier this week over in 411 Boxing that Jose Canseco was looking for his first win in a boxing ring having gone 0-2-1 in his first three attempts. He was to have faced off against Bill “El Wingador” Simmons, the former chicken wing eating champion tonight in Philly but due to his ailing father, was forced to withdraw.
He lost last year to former Philadelphia Eagle Vai Sikahema, and finished with a majority draw against one-time child star Danny Bonaduce of “The Partridge Family” in January.
Taking his place tonight in the three, 1-minute round exhibition bout will be none other than Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake!
That’s right, “Beefcake Barber” (as Zeus liked to call him), will now take on Simmons.
