Triple H Birthday Celebration Breaks Out After RAW
Posted by Ashish on 07.28.2009
Plus Orton & Show vs. Cena & Triple H...
After RAW went off the air, Randy Orton & The Big Show faced John Cena and Triple H. Orton walked out after tagging Show in. Cena gave him the FU and Triple H gave him the pedigree for the win after just a few minutes.
After the match, a birthday celebration was held for Triple H. Vince McMahon and the entire locker room came out for it. Triple H tried to escape but Vince got him to stay by threatening to sing. He thanked everyone and soon after everyone threw pastries at him. Batista then came out and Vince and Show held Triple H while Batista smashed a pie in his face, but he ducked and it ended up all over Show. Cake tossing was also involved.

This would have boosted the ratings in the runover.

Glad people still refer to it as the FU and the the PG equivalent.

Did Orton pop out of a cake and attack HHH?
Posted By: panik (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 01:56 AM
Awww...Him was so excited it was his birthday that he forgot to sell his knee injury, demanded his full entrance, and sucked in the closing seconds of his match.
I wonder if WWE does the same on Chavo's birthday?
Posted By: Guest#1032 (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 02:14 AM
Okay first of all, Shawn Michaels is not travelling with the company at the moment, second of all, Shawn's birthday fell on a day where they didn't even have a show.
I don't think they broke much kayfabe actually, except for the knee thing. Hunter is a babyface so it's not weird to have something like this done for him. Everyone already knew he was his son-in-law from earlier this year. So lighten up.
Besides they have done this one other people's birthday's as well.
Posted By: Julie (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 02:20 AM
You guys need to get off your Triple H hatred. It was a surprise and when Hunter realized something was up, he tried to get out, through the crowd actually and the people with cakes chased him down before he got a chance to. My friend that was there said he seemed pretty shy about it all and probably didn't want the public attention brought to it but everyone, including the fans had a good time.
Not to mention you only turn 40 once.

He no-sold the cake and Pedigreed it after a run-in by Legacy. :p
Posted By: Guest#3185 (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 02:27 AM
Isn't every episode of Raw a celebration of Hunter's greatness?
Posted By: UcantCLA (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 02:34 AM
I hope this ends up as a DVD extra at some point. Would be interesting to see it.

I don't mind Trips getting a B-day celebration, but this talk of making the Cake the Raw GM is ridiculous.

For the people telling us to lay off hunter, its just funny to males jokes of him not selling (especially cakes). I'm sure he's not crying himself to sleep because we're laughing at him burying a custard cream.........get off your high horse and lighten up!

batista must have reinjured himself while smashing the pie
Posted By: Guest#4260 (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 08:10 AM
I heard that Batista tore his other bicep after throwing said pie. Poor guy can't catch a break.
Posted By: LQBigCountry (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 08:11 AM
Sounds like cake wasn't the only thing being 'tossed' that night...
Posted By: Guest#8144 (Guest) on July 28, 2009 at 08:22 AM
That's cute and all but seriously I thought Trips was over 40. He's younger than I thought.

Based on the MASSIVE cheers HHH gets at every RAW and pay-per-view, it's apparent the IWC's negative opinion of him isn't worth a damn.

I like this version much better.

Wow, only the esteemed commentators of 411mania could shit on a birthday party. You really are a pathetic hate filled bunch, aren't you?

That makes me smile. What kind of tossing was involved in the locker room afterwards?

Perhaps you missed the part where heel Big Show, whom face Triple H just got done defeating, joined in on the festivities.

It was HHH's 40th, HBK is 44 so it wasn't a big deal this year.

HHH no sold the pie because it wasn't his favorite flavor-- bluebury.

"Did Orton pop out of a cake and attack HHH?"
Ah yes, I remember that one! Seattle, Sept. 13, 2004...we sat right at ringside (I get PRIMO tickets for WWE because I'm in a wheelchair)...I had that silver and gold confetti stuck in my wheelchair for MONTHS, if not years...debut of Gene Snitsky; the crowd yelled "who are you?" at him after he came to the ring during the commercial break...I tried to challenge Batista (then a heel), but he was too chicken...my stepson spent most of the evening talking to Lilian Garcia, who was sitting right next to us, and who got us free t-shirts AFTER the show was over...highlight of the evening was having Stacy Keibler do her bending-over-to-go-through-the-ropes routine almost right in my face...I wouldn't mind if she came over and did that again...

First off, you need to go back to school.
Second, you must have only started watching wrestling within the last few years.
If you HAD been a long time viewer you would have realized that this was NOTHING compared to the HHH,Michaels,Razor,Diesel debacale in MSG. That night, heels and babyfaces shook hands and hugged in the center of the ring directly after a main event match!!
Also, you would have known that Kayfabve has been dead for years and anyone that thinks differently is even a bigger mark than you seem to be!!!

Ever been to a live event? We cheer at EVERYTHING at live events...not an accurate measure of what people like to see on their couch.
