Wow. Andre The Giant's name is actually mentioned in a newsfeed on 411...or any wrestling news site for that matter. The Forgotten Legend.

I've been told of stories of the territory days & Andre coming up to Portland, Or. One of the nicest men you could ever meet. At least in the 70s before his pain consumed him.
RIP gentle giant

Thank you for the excellent link to the Andre article. He is truly a legend. It is so sad that today's fans only know him from the end of his career. When Andre was in his prime, he had a fantastic moveset.
The stories of his drinking are legendary. One story goes that when Andre was at a bar(in Europe I think), these 2 guys started heckling him. Well, finally Andre got tired of them and got up. They ran out of the bar and jumped into their car. Andre proceeded to tip the car over onto it's top on the sidewalk!! The story finishes in that Andre was long gone when the police came, and the 2 drunks were left explaining to a skeptical cop that an angry giant had turned over their car!!!!
To AndreWho2 and Brandon, as long as we remember and love Andre, his legend will never be forgotten!
