New Trailer & Details For WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2010
– Today, THQ announced several new features and improvements for the next installment of Smackdown vs. Raw. Among these upgrades are a new Create-a-Superstar Mode, updated Create-a-Finisher Mode and WWE Story Designer.
Entering the ring first is the introduction of a new Create-a-Superstar Mode. For years, the CAS Mode seemed relatively untouched in the Smackdown vs. Raw series, but new improvements are making their way to Smackdown vs. Raw 2010. Expect to see new 3-D parts and improved graphical quality, which means created Superstars will actually look similar to the in-game wrestlers. Aside from new parts and improved graphics, CAS Mode will also sport a new Paint Tool, which allows for customization of logos and designs, and the game will also have a brand new Superstar Threads feature, which will be making its debut in SvR 2010. Superstar Threads will actually allow players to create alternate ring gear for Superstars and Divas by customizing clothing, face paint and more. In addition to an improved CAS Mode, the game will also feature an updated Create-a-Finsher Mode, which now allows players to create finishers from the top turnbuckle while also adding new moves to the front grapple position.
A new feature ready for some in-ring action is the WWE Story Designer. For the first time ever, players will now be able to customize their own storylines and cut scenes. The new feature will also allow players to write their own dialogue, adjust camera angles, choose from over 100 scene animations and even schedule matches for their brand’s show card.
SvR 2010 will also enable players to share their unique storylines, created Superstars and Divas, finishers and entrances with anyone online via the WWE Community Creations interface, another brand new feature for the franchise. Players will not only be able to upload their created content online, but they will also be able to download content from other people in the WWE community.
Making its return to SvR is the Road to WrestleMania story mode, which will include interactive cut scenes and six new storylines along with the ability for players to create their own storylines for the game.
Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 is lacing up its boots for a scheduled release on October 20 for the Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP and mobile phones.
