First off let me say that I don't use drugs (not even pot). But I must know, why does everyone come down so hard on Jeff Hardy and other wrestlers who have these issues come up? Readers and writers of this site get worked up and I don't understand why. I'm sure Csonka will have an article where he basically says 'Fuck you Jeff, you had me believing in you for the LAST time...etc' (btw I'm a Csonka fan)
But Jeff isn't hurting anyone but Jeff. He didn't beat his wife, or drive drunk, or something else where he harmed others. He only harms himself. As for the steroids, who cares? This isn't pro sports where hallowed records may be tarnished by players who are using PEDs. The only consequence of all of this is that Jeff Hardy MAY die young. And don't you think he knows that? He's decided that it's worth the risk. And it's his decision to make, he's a grown man. Where is the outrage re: Chris Daniels DUI? He could have killed SOMEONE ELSE.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that no one knows Jeff and his demons better than him. No one knows if he's depressed (or why), or if he just enjoys it and accepts the risks.

I wouldnt wanna walk in Jeffs shoes, they probably got drugs stashed in them!

Matt is living in a fantasy world, he'll never admit that Jeff has a drug problem. Jeff could be arrested for homicide and he would still say that it wasn't Jeff's fault.

I wonder what kind of odds you can get on Jeff being 'innocent'?
I guess the police report meant they outright lied about the stash they found?

Good for them to defend him. Everyone, including most people on this website, will be judging him without a second thought. Saying everything negative about him that comes to their mind. You don't know all the details, I support Jeff and hope that everything works out for the best for him.

I'm a big Matt Hardy fan and I can totally understand wanting to do everything within your power to defend your little brother but... um... please for once in your internet life just shut up, Matt. You're not doing yourself not your brother any favors.

"Don't think of judging Jeff Hardy until you've walked a mile in his shoes. I will always have Jeffs back.."
Really? That's moronic. You easily can judge someone who is given a billion second chances and squander them all.
Posted By: Guest#7268 (Guest) on September 12, 2009 at 03:50 PM
Yeah.....someone planted the drugs at Jeff Hardy's residence. This isn't a murder case where there is "did he do it, did he not." It's pretty hard not to be found guilty when they find anabolic steroids and cocaine residue at YOUR residence. Also take into account that he has been suspended on Wellness twice. Gee, I wonder if he's guilty or not.
Posted By: xugreatone (Guest) on September 12, 2009 at 04:00 PM
I'm not sure anyone could walk a mile in his shoes with that many drugs.

Ok, not really. He just said he wouldn't pass judgment yet.

lance storm said it best i believe- god help jeff hardy get through the next few weeks, because they are likely going to be the roughest of his entire life.

Buu-fucking-huu at Jericho...to have to walk in Jeff's shoes would be a dream for many and not just an opportunity to fuck up over and over gain. And to the less talented Hardy...stop quoting songs all the time you idiot...it makes you even lamer...go spray some sun-in-a-can will you!!
Posted By: Krajton (Guest) on September 12, 2009 at 05:22 PM
I'm with Lance. I said the same thing in a comment somewhere else .. the trafficking charge is likely just because of the quantity found, not because anyone saw him actually dealing. I'd guess, being on the road as often as WWE wrestlers are, that he'd make sure he had a substantial stockpile in case he couldn't get more on short notice .. that would just make sense to me. So it stands to reason that he'd have quite a bit in his home.
That doesn't mean that Jeff doesn't have demons that he needs to deal with. We've known that for a long, long time.
I hope that this will finally be the wakeup call he needs to get himself into rehab, and meet those demons head on. Making that decision, and following through with it .. would be something worthy of looking up to the man for .. because a lot of people can't, or won't make that step. I hope he can. He gave me personally a lot of years of enjoyment in wrestling .. and I'll miss him.
Good luck Jeff, I hope you pull through this. You still have at least one supporter here in the IWC.

Bring on everyone rushing to defend Hardy. If a non-famous, middle-class or poor Joe Average was arrested for drugs, you would judge harshly and avoid. But not so with Jeff, cuz he can wrassle real good-like.
The guy has had one thousand chances and should be ashamed of taking part in an angle in which he was a reformed druggie being judged when he was in fact a bigger druggie than ever.
You all judged Kendrick on rumors of drug use, but will defend Hardy with a pharmacy in house. He is a criminal, cool swantons or not.
Posted By: Guest#4364 (Guest) on September 12, 2009 at 06:08 PM
Pretty reasonable comment from Matt there. I was half expecting him to rant at the IWC for all the jokes they've been making at Jeff's expense. Plus at least he quoted Public Enemy and not NWA. Lol.

Good point about Kendrick. As for Jeff being a criminal, I personally dont much care for the laws he broke. Pfizer makes plenty of $$$, and they just got sued for over a billion. So, if Jeff is supplying drugs (aka medicine) to others for a fair market price, then so be it.
Posted By: Guest#6738 (Guest) on September 12, 2009 at 09:14 PM
I like Jericho, but I'm going to have to call BS on this one.
Support for a friend is great. We should all have good and loyal friends who will defend us.
However, totally unconditional support is not. Addicts tend to take that support and abuse themselves some more. Until Jeff sees the toll this sort of thing takes on his friends and how it has taken opportunity from his life, he will not want to clean up.
This is where too much unconditional support interferes with a guy getting clean and getting healthy.
That is why people discovered "tough love". If you love the addict and want them clean, you have to stop shielding them from the world and from consequences.
I haven't walked a mile in Jeff's shoes, nor will I ever do so. I have walked miles in the shoes of the friend watching his friend get more addicted and deeper in the gutter.
Kerry, why do people come down on Jeff? Wasted potential, wasted life. Yeah he is hurting himself, but don't kid yourself that he isn't hurting those closest to him. You think Scott Hall's closest friends have not suffered from his downward spiral?
Do you really think Jeff has never driven under the influence, or merely that he has never been caught? I have no evidence that he has driven stoned, but a life time of experience tells me that he probably has. Is your picture of Jeff that of a guy sitting in the corner of his closest stoned out of his mind? People who don't think about themselves rarely think about others. This is one reason addict (including alcoholics) can be such monumental jerks.
Jeff may not want to get clean until he loses everything. But he has made quite a bit of money and his friends are sticking by him.

I respect a strong voice like Jericho standing up for Hardy, so I'm going to lay off Jeff out of respect for Jericho and Jeff.

There are certain things I can accept when it comes to drugs. I smoked pot, I have done coke 2 times, used mushrooms. However I stopped all of that when I was like 22 when I got out of college. I think pot should be legal, I do not use it any longer myself. But there is no reason to have the quantiy that Jeff had of pills and such. He should go to jail not forever but at least a year. Thats just what I think right or wrong.

Who cares about Jeff Hardy: he's an adult and knows the law. There are just some things you don't do in this world and if you do you pay the price.
In this case, that cash receipt has a really huge sum total.
Just because screaming teenagers/marks love the swanton and botched spots doesn't mean he gets special treatment: he is a member of society and needs to abide by the law. Sorry, peeps: no pity from me here.
Posted By: D-Bo (Guest) on September 13, 2009 at 02:07 AM
Let me see if I've got this straight: When Jeff Hardy risks his well-being performing wrestling moves to entertain the fans in TLC matches and the like, the IWC can't stop sucking his proverbial dick. But when Jeff Hardy risks his well-being by taking pills to alleviate the pain caused by said matches and the stress caused by being a celebrity, the IWC takes a proverbial shit on him.
Jericho is right. What a bunch of self-absorbed, sanctimonious hypocrites you all are.

Has anyone here ever been hooked on drugs? I don't mean just pot either. What I'm saying is, some of this stuff takes more than willpower to overcome. Some real good people I've known, despite their best efforts, have succumbed. I'm not justifying Jeffy Hardy's relapses. I'm just trying to help explain. Instead of kicking someone when they're down, maybe another approach perhaps.

Just thank the Gods above that Jeff didn't "hear" his dog telling him to go to the top of a church with a rifle and take out the sinners in God's name.
Cuz I had a friend on drugs once that happened to. He swears it, and obviously I don't believe him. I only ever heard his dog say nice things about people.

Posted By: sahk (Guest) on September 13, 2009 at 09:46 AM
I'm not condoning drug use, but I can definitely see why pro wrestlers would be drawn to cocaine, pot, and steroids. They need the coke to keep themselves up, the pot to mellow themselves out, and the roids are obvious.
That being said, this is Hardy's what, 100th time being caught with that shit? I don' feel bad for him. He fucked up, nobody forced him to take this shit. Sure, life as a pro wrestler is probably easier when you've got that crap, but it's by no means mandatory.
Spend some time in jail, go to rehab, and clean your life up, Hardy. Stop being an embarrassment.
Posted By: Zingy (Guest) on September 13, 2009 at 10:36 AM
Kerry you're a moron. By saying he isn't hurting anyone but himself is bs. he had the drugs with the intent to sell thats why they caught him.

Jericho is right!!!
the funny thing is NONE of you, IWC SHEEP, has even walked a mile in your OWN shoes!!!
All you do is sit behind your keyboard and judge other people who have a LIFE!!!
You never done anything with yours and so you sit at home and type on your computer and that (for some reason) makes you feel fulfilled about your shitty life.
Maybe if you had actually done something with your lives instead of dedicating them to judging others, you would realize that people have problems and sitting back and CONDESCENDING them does NOTHING to help YOU or them!!!!
