Plenty of Wednesday news...
- It looks like Jeff Hardy has deleted his Twitter page and MySpace page. His fiance's Twitter page is still up, but all content has been removed from it.

- According to Dave Meltzer, TNA's recent releases of Jim Cornette, Brian James, Savio Vega, and Dutch Mantel were all done as part of a larger plan to eliminate those in the company who were closest to Jeff Jarrett.
- 22 year-old independent wrestler Matt "Riot" Lowry passed away Tuesday. He had been taken to the hospital the day before after suffering head injuries while training at the ECW Arena. The police claim Lowry died from head injuries. Someone who was training Lowry that day told the CBS affiliate in Philadelphia that Lowry had suffered an aneurysm while warming up for his training. The autopsy will be performed today. The CBS Philadelphia report is available here.
- Independent promotion Absolute Intense Wrestling sent out this statement on Lowry's death.
Absolute Intense Wrestling mourns the loss of Ohio-based Indy Wrestler, Matt Lowry. Matt, age 21, wrestled under the name "Matt Riot." Originally training under Shark Boy, Matt worked AIW, American Luchacore, HWA, IWA:MS and many more. Matt held the AIW Tag Titles with Sami Callihan in 2008 also teamed with Sami in other places as well. Matt who over the last few years had great personal loss, took a hiatus from wrestling in early 2009. Matt recently returned to wrestling moving to New Jersey to try and get into CZW and other local Indies. Reports are that on Monday during a routine training session a bump went awry and Matt received a bleeding of the brain. No other info is known at this time. Matt will be remembered for his great sense of humor, huge heart and his passion for the business of professional wrestling. RIP Matt Riot!
- SPOILER WARNING!
WWE ran an injury angle with the Great Khali at the Smackdown taping last night as Kane destroyed Khali's left leg with the metal steps, ending with Khali being taken out on a stretcher. The reason this was done is because Khali is set to undergo knee surgery soon. [Credit: PWInsider]
With a broken knee Khali might finally be able to bend it.
Too Soon?

Two things...
1) Deleting his Twitter account is the smartest Jeff Hardy has done in quite some time.
2) Why is it news that Matt Hardy was backstage at the Smackdown taping? He's a Smackdown wrestler.

You know I don't normally jump on TNA like everyone else will, but keeping Russo and ditching Cornette is just plain stupid. Russo needs to go because he's tainted fans see him as the guy for all that's wrong. Fire him and improve your image

1. Didn't Khali already have knee surgery?
2. If I was about to go to prison, I'd delete my accounts as well.

Oh JJ... TNA is going to struggle for a long time now IMO.

Angle and jarrett should settle their differences by wrestling each other on the upcoming Hulkamania: Let the Battle Begin/Leave the Memories Alone World Super Tour with Special Guests Nasty Knobbs and Brutus Beefcake. BAH GAWD!!!

Goodbye Peanut Head Ted! You brought it on yourself with your betrayal of not only the Undertaker, but the fans as well! Can't wait to see ol' Peanut Head Ted do his Holla Holla for Real-Real! LOL! Scott Armstrong had also be watching his back, cause if I know Undertaker, he won't take kindly to a referee screwing him over!

But I thought they were set to bring back Jeff?
Releasing Cornette is still stupid hopefully they rehire him some day or hire another great mind

I thought he injured his chopping hand.
Anyone else ever think of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon whenever Khali is in the ring? You know, the one where Bugs and Daffy are digging underground trying to get to Pismal Beach and end up in a cave full of riches and a lamp? And some dude keeps chasing them around yelling, "HASSAN CHOP!"
Every time Khali does a move (you know, that one move he does where he chops someone) I keep expecting to hear "HASSAN CHOP!".

all done as part of a larger plan to eliminate those in the company who were closest to Jeff Jarrett.
that is why TNA can't succedd instead of focusing on the problems in the company they are busy having fights like school kids, all i know is every since angle came in the product dropped TNA 2003-2005 i miss you

Uhhh...why WOULDN'T Matt Hardy be backstage at SmackDown? Is it not the brand he's on?

His lawyer probably told him to get rid of those pages.

Re: Jarrett coming back.
I think the plan is to release all his potential allies and then bring him back. That way he's an island unto himself.

I've always wondered why they have to attack the body part that is actually injured. Couldn't they just pretend to injure Kahli's arm instead?

Seems like the reasonable thing to do, especially for a (relatively) high profile wrestler like Khali. They love milking those surgery video packages so it looks weird if they make up an injury if there's a perfectly legitimate one. It's like Batista getting punted in the head and then they say "oh and since I have a concussion I'm going to have them work on my arm too."

Savio Vega was in Tna. I honestly did not know that

Vince Russo is the most underrated guy in professional wrestling. The shows have been awesome since he got more control. Cornette rules but if I had to pick between the two I'd pick Russo.

'1. Didn't Khali already have knee surgery?'
i believe he has had several, but given his history of hard manual labour from an age that most kids in the western world are learning basic mathematics in school, it is hardly surprising that he would need many surguries, what is surprising is the utter lack of respect for a guy who trashed his body AS A CHILD TO FEED HIS FAMILY by a bunch of people whose idea of manual labour is tring to masturbate twice in a day.

Isn't Russo also close to Jarret? Is good news coming to TNA?
Posted By: Sandwich Dutt (Guest) on September 16, 2009 at 03:58 PM
Russo was verrrry close to Jarrett during their WCW days together. Just sayin' ....
