WWC Septiembre Negro Results 09.26.09
Posted by Armando Rodriguez on 10.04.2009

WWC Septiembre Negro Results from Bayamon, PR on September 26, 2009

-WWC Junior Heavyweight Title:
"The Havana Pitbull" Ricky Reyes defeats "The Man-Beast" Angel by pinfall

- Crazy Rudy defeats Super Gladiador by pinfall after two DDT's. This was Gladiador's first match in WWC in years, but it looks like a one shot deal.

- Abbad vs Ricky Ortiz went to No Contest after Ortiz suffered a legitimate ankle injury and the match was stopped.

-WWC Tag Team Titles:
Thunder & Lightning defeat The American Family (Idol Stevens & Shawn Spears) by DQ when Idol rips off Thunder's mask. The American Family retain the titles.

- Carlitos defeats Hiram Tua in a great match. Both men know each other from years of teaming up, so the bout was fantastic and in my opinion the best match of the night. Still, Tua should have gone over since he looks like the one with the best potential to become a main event player.

-WWC Puerto Rican Title: Lumberjack Match
"La Pesadilla" Orlando Colon defeats Shane Sewell by pinfall to win the title. Hiram Tua came in to help Orlando, with the lumberjacks going after him. This allowed Debbie Ross (Orlando's manager) to interfere and give Orlando the belt. He knocks out Shane with it, but the pin only gets two. Shane recovers and puts Orlando in the figure four leglock, but Debbie reaches in from the outside and gives Shane an eye gouge, breaking it up. Shane stumbles into Orlando's superkick and the cover gets three.

-WWC Universal Title Unification Match: No DQ
"The Rebel" Noriega defeats "The Phenomenal" BJ by pinfall to unify the titles. They destroyed each other with chairs, poles and everything else they could get their hands on. Orlando Colon ran in and nailed BJ from behind with a chair and Noriega scores the pinfall and the belt. Shane runs in for the save, but he grabs a chair and when BJ wakes up, he thinks it was Shane who hit him. BJ and Shane brawl, while Orlando and Noriega bawl outside after Noriega refused to acknowledge Orlando's help. Victor Jovica comes out and makes a Fatal Fourway Match for the belt for the very next day in Aguadilla!

-Barbed-Wire Match:
Jose Laureano (the former Chicky Starr) defeats Chicky Starr (the former Tommy Diablo) by pinfall to recover the name and gimmick of Chicky Starr. The real Chicky Starr celebrates with the fans as the show comes to a close.

-WWC Unified Universal Title: Fatal Fourway Match:
Shane Sewell defeats Orlando Colon, BJ and Noriega to win the belt. During the match BJ suffered a legitimate knee injury.

Ah, the old "Face thinks Face holding the chair hit him and turns heel" angle. A true staple of Puerto Rican Wrestling. I think WWC has done that angle more often than Memphis heels have put bounties on Jerry Lawler's head.
