Chris Jericho, Taz, Paul Heyman and Others Comment On The Passing Of Captain Lou Albano
Posted by Larry Csonka on 10.14.2009

- The following wrestlers commented on the passing of Captain Lou Albano today, via Twitter:

* Chris Jericho: "Wrestling legend Captain Lou Albano has died: http://bit.ly/4pCoFT. One of the integral performers who put the WWF on the map.."

* Taz: "sorry to hear about the GREAT Capt Lou....god bless. "

* Matt Morgan: "U gotta be f'n kidding me! Just heard the bad news that Capt Lou Albano passed. He was just as much of a "star" to me as a kid, as was ... the wrestlers! One of the better personalities our sport has produced. He was very vital in mainstreaming "rock-n-wrestling" in 80s"

* Paul Heyman: "RIP CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO"

* Jeremy Borash: "Wearing a rubber band on my cheek today. RIP Captain Lou. One of my favs."

* Ken Anderson: "RIP Lou Albano. I was laid up in the hospital for 9 days in 2001, and Rob Norwood and Shane Hills brought me an autographed 8 x 10 from him."

* Matt Hardy: "I would also like to send my condolences to family of Captain Lou Albano.. Thanks for paving the way for us Lou!"

* Awesome Kong: "RIP Captain Lou. He had a big impact on me every Saturday growing up. Wrestling and the Super Mario show. "

Even back in 2001, Kennedy was injured. Injured.

Subsequent tweets from Matt Hardy included one about how much he misses Lita, and another blaming the IWC for jumping to the conclusion that Jeff Hardy has a drug problem

Not to take any sort of attention away from the passing of the great Lou Albano...but is Matt Morgan 13 years old?

inb4 Kennedy in a Hospital jokes.

I'm saddened by Lou's passing. I remember being three years old and watching The War to Settle the Score. One of my very first wrestling memories.

I was a much bigger fan of Super Mario than I was of WWF as a kid. Back then, the only two wrestlers I knew were Hulk Hogan, and Captain Lou. Sad day for many people.

Not sure why you would post such a stupid comment on this news bit. Real easy to be totally ignorant and insulting behind a computer screen. Get a clue dumbass. RIP Lou.

Even bigger lol - Ken Anderson manages to pwn himself by saying his Lou memory involves him BEING IN HOSPITAL WITH A INJURY.

I wonder if he hurt his wrist picking up the picture. lolz
