Good god, this is going to be great. I wonder what they'll hit up? Steroids? Dead Wrestlers? Kids getting hurt? Vince?

Looks like Cena and Edge, haven't studied the chicks to see who they are yet.

I won't lie: I marked. I marked hard.

This shit is still on the air? Total fucking garbage, and it always has been. If The Simpsons did not fall in to such a dramatic decline, South Park would still be far and away the worst cartoon on TV. I'd say now it's a tie. But hey, South Park might as well cover WWE. Neither one of them has mattered since the turn of the century to most people.

Have fun getting this South Park episode advertised on your shows Vince

South Park and wrestling, a marriage of two of the best things of the late 90s. South Park is still awesome, wrestling, not so much.

I really, really hope they don't overplay the whole "lol wrasslin is fake u guyz" thing, or at least put a halfway decent new spin on it. That was old when Ready to Rumble came out.

Awesome! Simply awesome! I can't wait to see this one.

From only 30 seconds, I get the vibe that the whole punchline to the episode, similar to the Guitar Hero episode, will be that "they are f*gs" for wanting to be wrestlers.
Posted By: Guest#7353 (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 06:42 PM
Haven't watched South Park since the shitty "About Last Night" episode. Definitely going to watch this one though but I won't get my hopes up.
Posted By: Phil (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 06:43 PM
fucking brilliant, cant wait....also, south park gets better and more fucked up with age, the only cartoon/social commentary worth watching since the simpsons fell to the christians/republicans years back
Posted By: Guest#5525 (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 06:53 PM
I don't know about you guys, but doesn't this feel long overdue!?!?!? Should they have done it when it was hugh in the late 90's!?!?!? That would have been a perfect time for them to have ripped on them. Now a days, wrestlng's just there. And it's if they're going to make fun of them because of their steroids use, haven't they done that already!?!?!?
Well, it should be a good episode. I wonder how Jimmy is gonna manage to become a professional wrestler.

Anyone else notice they were at the Pepsi Center. Remember that whole debacle between Vince and the Nuggets owner? Get the feeling that will come into play here?
Posted By: Nick (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 07:15 PM
Nice to see Token is a CM Punk mark.

ERIC CARTMAN

This probably won't play any part in the actual episode, but it's pretty funny that with South Park being set in Colorado, the show they are at is in Denver's Pepsi Coliseum, site of the WWE/NBA scheduling problem last spring, which led to the infamous Stan Kroenke skit on Raw.
Also, I'm guessing when the boys show up for their first wrestling practice they are going to be mildly disappointed with the slight differences between amateur and professional wrestling.
Posted By: Jeff (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 07:31 PM
The episode can totally suck, and yet still be better written than 90% of the WWE since 2006 or so.

Doubt it. They were probably just at the Pepsi Center because the Kids live near Denver so the Pepsi Center makes the most sense.
Posted By: Justin (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 07:55 PM
This is going to be the best episode of South Park ever for the sole reason that Butters will probably get hurt!
Posted By: The Joker (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 07:55 PM
Nice.

Wendy for Women's Champ!!!!
Posted By: Sandro (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 08:12 PM
HAHAHA! The possibilities are endless here. Matt Stone and Trey Parker always do their homework before tackling real life topics. I imagine they will single out John Cena and his obvious steroid use, Vince McMahon covering it up, and probably have the kids ignore the whole "Don't Try This" warning and Kenny will die from a German Suplex or something.
I will NOT miss this!

A South Park episode about wrestling? About damn time.
Posted By: Haha (Guest) on October 17, 2009 at 09:21 PM
Guest#5525, when did The Simpsons turn all Republican? Last I checked they took shots at people from both parties.

This. That's alright, the first two episodes have been pretty funny though this season, I'm pretty sure this one will stay with the flow.
Posted By: Guest#0128 (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 01:35 AM
I'm kinda worried. I think that all thats going to happen is that they find out wrestling is fake and shit all over it. I'm hoping otherwise.
Posted By: Guest#3087 (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 01:45 AM
My call - the boys sign up for AMATEUR wrestling class, and, upon finding out that it is far less showy than pro wrestling, inject a bunch of pro-style gimmicks into it.
Or, to put it another way, Pete And Pete Did It!
Posted By: Shane (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 01:48 AM
I really find it awful that alot of people claim that ALL WRESTLERS are on steroids when some of them have been working out their whole lives and are actually steroid free. Granted some have taken and been caught taking steroids but it is an insult to all those who havent taken them that they are generalized

Will Cartman come to the ring carrying a Golga doll? Then everything would finally come full circle

Imagine: Kenny Dies at the hand of Chris Benoit.

Cartman to host Raw - BOOK IT NOW!
Posted By: Fenris (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 08:40 AM
They should just shit all over the IWC elitism. That's the only way it can be entertaining.

"Looks like Cena and Edge, haven't studied the chicks to see who they are yet."
Lita and Maria?
I'm surprised they don't have a more up-to-date feud, seeing as it only takes four days to make an episode. Cena and Maria vs Edge and Lita was in 2006!
Posted By: Guy (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 10:55 AM
Ugh....South Park sucks. I don't get all the worship for it.
They jumped the shark a long time ago and just spend all their time mocking left-wing stereotypes.
Posted By: lilwayne1 (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 11:22 AM
when do the South Park kids host RAW???
Posted By: Joe (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 12:49 PM
Best WWE action in a LONG time. I can't help but wonder if WWE completely ignores the publicity or embraces it.
Posted By: Butters4Prez (Guest) on October 18, 2009 at 01:12 PM
Hopefully Stone and Parker know that their audience already knows Wrestling is fake (as does Everybody east of India probably) so they do something else besides that.
The Amature vs Professional Would be good, Maybe Steroid Use, Maybe even Linda's senate run.
I'm just praying they don't just use the "It's fake so it sucks" argument.
