really joe?
hogan is going to jump out of the muscle buster. then brush off the coqunia clutch as if it was a routine closeline.

No, keep him in Australia then cancel his return flight

Joe v. Hogan. Has to happen. No matter how bad Hogan is in the ring, I would still pay to see it.

Is Samoe Joe telling us The Rock will join TNA too?
Posted By: Guest#0405 (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 05:24 PM
The haters will shit on this. But all this exposure can be nothing but good for TNA. Especially if guys like Joe are on board.

sweet hope this actually gets tna up in the views and gets more recognition for more than a few months.

say what you will about hogan but the ratings are going to jump thursday night now even if its just an interview segment or whatever
Posted By: Guest#0768 (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 05:31 PM
Well, they wanted the attention, they are getting it. Now let's just hope that TNA knows how to properly deliver on a possible big crowd tuning in, without seeming like WCW Lite or a WWE ripoff.
Posted By: Dan (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 05:39 PM
well pretty big coverage for TNA from the Huckster. Especially being on Larry King. TNA's mission is accomplished. I wouldn't mind them turning the screws to Vinny. Damn WWE has sucked the big one for a decade

"say what you will about hogan but the ratings are going to jump thursday night now even if its just an interview segment or whatever"
Isn't that what people said about Nash, Sting, Macho, Booker, Steiner, Cornette, Foley, Angle, Christian...

You think Joe jobbing to Black Lesnar was bad, wait until Hogan Hulks Up after the Muscle Buster and Joe eats boot and leg drop
Posted By: Robin (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 05:54 PM
Only if Joe kills Hogan. If he loses, well, there goes TNA's credibility.
not that they had any to begin with

This is awesome all around.

TNA has been a WCW-Lite / WWE rip-off for the past 3 and a half years.

Well I'm wondering what everybody's excuse is going to be when Hogan and/or Flair fails to draw bigger ratings. What will the excuse be then? There's ALWAYS an excuse, so what will it be?

Just when we thought the young guys at t.n.a were starting to get a fair shake the old shark comes back to gobble them up..Expect some of hogans old dinasours to join as well..its wcw all over again

Maybe they could sign Gene Okerlund for the promos,"You know Mean Gene the Hulkster wil take on the 13 ft tall 800 lb Samoa Joe. What ya gonna do brother when the 24 inch pythons run wild on you!!"
Posted By: Brawler (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 06:14 PM
when asked to comment on the recent news. the very christian and family oriented TNA champion AJ Styles said, "I'm Fucked."
Posted By: jd (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 06:16 PM
For as much grief as we give Hogan for not putting others over, I remember him giving the rub to both Brock and Rock as pretty damn substantial to their respective careers.

Joe knows: Hogan = More Money. More Money = More Food.
Posted By: Gothmad (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 06:25 PM
This is good for business, and put TNA in the public eye, not just in the IWC.
I'd much rather see Joe job to Hogan than Scott Steiner, and it means a lot more if Joe (or anyother TNA star not named Kurt Angle) were to get a pin fall over Hogan than Scott Steiner. It's getting the right old schoolers, not just the ones Vince let's you have.

couldn't go to WWE because of the wellness policy and divorces are expensive

TNA - We are WCW Zombie.
Posted By: z (Guest) on October 27, 2009 at 06:35 PM
Is he that hard up for money? Oh wait! I forgot he is supporting his slimebag son and no talent daughter. He is a physical wreck now and was talentless as a wrestler 20 years ago.

Honestly, I could care less either way about this. My main question is, HOW IN THE HELL ARE THEY PAYING for these people? You keep hearing about how TNA is bleeding money, yet they were able to get Hogan?
The only thing I can think of is that there will be a LEGENDS show created where Hogan and Bischoff OWN the show, but it's under the TNA umbrella and where TNA gets PPV rights on pay-off matches from the Legends show, in-house production of merchandise of the legends, DVD and videogame rights, etc ...

Wait till joe, or sting has to job to hogan or his cronies, watch out for hall & Nash reunion this sucks RIP TNA

The only way I want to see Hogan in the ring is if he jobs to Samoa Joe in 30 seconds.

Actually, who keeps saying that TNA is bleeding money? They actually turn a profit and I wouldn't be surprised if Spike TV is kicking in for Hogan's salary the same way they did for Sting.

hahaha, up yours all you fat internet nerds! Apparently your hero Joe doesn't think Hogan will kill him and his fed.

if it has to do with a spike reality show mabey spikes footing part of the bill to pay them

"Im in, Lets Rock".
"I've got no choice, I guess."

As I said up above, I don't really care either way. I don't really follow either product anymore, other than reading reports here and there on here. I would most likely recognize Booker T, Kevin Nash, and Mick Foley more than I would MVP, Jack Swagger, that Jamaican dude, or whatever the hell a Seamus is.
I also think that it's probably a good idea to bring in Hogan, as he is arguably THE face of wrestling. My only point is that it's been stated all over the internet that TNA has been in the red since it started. This very site has had discussions about it, including Prag ...
This lack of focus has hurt TNA, but the plan has been for years to grow without profit. Growing without profit is nothing unheard of nor unacceptable. Amazon.com went nearly ten years without ever posting positive earnings. Biotech companies like Biogen spend the better part of 12-15 years doing nothing but losing money as they try to get one drug passed though the FDA and hope that it turns a profit.
The bottom line is, there is nothing wrong with TNA losing money so long as it is part of the growth strategy and that Panda Energy is willing to foot the bill.
Hence, hiring Hogan is a huge expense, unless they have big plans for things that aren't related necessarily to the actual TNA product. I'm guessing reality shows, perhaps a Legends version of wrestling, cross-marketing TNA wrestlers into other revenue streams.
To me, this seems to be an "all in" move as if this was no limit Texas hold-em. Will it lead to an initial huge jump in ratings? TNA and Spike would certainly hope so. Will it keep the focus on them after the first wave of publicity slows down? That will probably determine TNA's future.
Either way, it should be fun to watch all of this play out over the coming months.

I don't see how this will help them beat the WWE like a lot of you guys seem to think, but I do think it is the biggest news of the year. I am a WWE fan first (although I can't find the time to watch either show, I do read about both on 411) but I want to see this work out for TNA in the best way. I actually went to the first TNA shows back in Nashville at the fairgrounds years ago, and I have always wanted them to succeed. Is this the "Turning Point"? I sure hope so, I seriously miss the days when Vince had the fire lit under his ass to make the program succeed. I am afraid that the announced AJ, Daniels, Joe world title match is going to play under card to Hogan much like Benoit's title run played to the H. I seriously hope that I am wrong, because this is the first TNA PPV I was going to purchase since Harris v. Storm happened many moons ago. If it turns into the Hogan show, then I will seriously spend that on beer money.

If there was ever a time for Vince/WWE to debut "The Self Destruction of Hulk Hogan" DVD, it's now and finally let the world see what they really think of this bleeding sore on pro wrestling's genitals.
