Hulk Hogan Discusses The WWE HOF, Being Too Old, His Musical Dreams, More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.02.2009

- The Chicago Tribune recently interviewed Hulk Hogan, here are the highlights…

On His WWE Hall of Fame Ring: "I think Vince McMahon paid $20 for it. My high school ring was better than this thing."

On His Musical Dreams: "I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger's ex-wife, and she told me the [Rolling] Stones were looking for a bass player. I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said ‘Tell Mick I'm a great bass player.' I never heard a word back."

On Still Wrestling: "People might say I'm too slow or crippled to get back in the ring. I can't say they're wrong. I heard Stone Cold [Steve Austin] say 'I'm not hanging around and embarrassing myself like some of these old guys.' I wonder who he's talking about, you know?

I heard a couple of Interviews with Hogan but he never once ripped Vince. Stone Cold doesn't need to wrestle in the ring to embarass himself his movies and his beating of his wives speak for themselves.

Maybe he was thinking about you.

Dear Hulk Hogan.

Please go away and please stop trying to make people care about you.

Thankyou.

wow. hogan going to tna. again. nice, but at least main event mafia is gone so they cant do a hogan joins mem and we got the nwo all over again. hahaha...

but i agree with some people who say he is too old to wrestle, i mean hes one of the most entertaining superstars ive ever witnessed in my intire life, but i just dont want him to pop a hip or something inside the six sides of steel. lol.

who knows, well have to see what happens....

Nice honest interview by the Hulk there. I like that he admits he needs the money.

Maybe he was thinking about you.

I love irony. It's what you do after the washy and the dry-y.

It is comments like that about his HOF ring, that although are being said because he is with the "competition", make me saddened to be a Hulk fan. So many guys crap on the things they get and achieve from their previous employers when they "move on", but when they are begging for some money or to promote something, they come back thinking nothing is wrong.

If I was Vince, I would tell these guys to shove it. Although, Vince knows that they all come back after finding their greener pastures.

Shame on you Hulk.

Obviously I meant Ric Flair. The guy sucked in the ring when he was in his prime. 25 years later its just saddening.

The key words in Hogan's statement that people are conviently missing are, "I can't say they're wrong."

Before hating always remember to read the entire statement.

On that note, he is still a media whore.

that ungratefull old piece of shit, i'm gonna die laughing when TNA closes shop and he goes back to worship Vince, like he does when he needs a pay day

$20 for the HOF ring? At least it's a step up from the $10 they probably spent when the gave the inductees that crappy looking plaque.

Speak for yourself. He likely craps larger than you.

I've heard Hogan talking on two separate occasions about how he can't even shave his face without taking a break because he's in so much pain, and he'd have us believe he still has some business in a wrestling ring?

Posted By: Guest#3583 (Guest)  on November 02, 2009 at 11:23 AM

Tugman, Legacy....you are stupid. That is all.
I'd have thought the joke was obvious, but apparently some need a guy to stand next to them while on the internet to smack them around the head till stuff sinks in.
Morons.

What does he have to be grateful for? For getting something (A WWE HOF mmebership) that he earned? It's not like McMahon gave it to him out of the goodness of his heart.

As far as Hogan wrestling, as long as he can still have fun doing soemthing he's lvoed doing for 30+ years and can make some money, I say go for it no matter what the negative ninnies whine about.

Posted By: Volourn (Guest)  on November 02, 2009 at 11:40 AM

Pretty sure that Stone Cold meant Hogan and Flair as examples 1a and 1b with his comment. As for the ring, he probably only says it cause he tried to sell it off at a pawn shop for some rogaine.

Posted By: The Truth (Guest)  on November 02, 2009 at 11:42 AM

If Hogan has a replica WWF title, he should go on Impact and dump it in the trash, because that would be an original idea.

Posted By: Guest#0283 (Guest)  on November 02, 2009 at 12:02 PM

That ring can get me $20? Then I guess it's time to pawn mine. WOOOOOOO!!!!!

Why are posters here so obsessed with the wife beating allegations against Austin? Get over it! You don't even know the real deal. She probably deserved it!

Hogan's so broke he wouldn't even shell out 20 bucks for that thing.

Yeah, Austin beats up women. But who cares, he's so cool. And his motto was always DTA, so them bitches should have known better. And that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!!!

Give me a break. I lost respect for that guy a LONG time ago. If he wasn't hitting his wives, he was walking out of the company when the booking didn't favor him 100% of the time. Which is very ironic, because he used to shoot on Hogan for doing the same thing when he was in ECW. He also created the god awful "What" chants, yet another reason to hate him. And didn't you love when he would just randomly start stunning women, like that time he dropped Stacy Keibler because she had the nerve to refuse a beer. What a classy guy.

I'll never understand how it was okay for him to leave for almost a year, and then come back with the fans acting like nothing happened, while Rock had to turn heel because he got to much heat for trying to become an actor, even though he would come back to put over flash in the pans(at least in wrestling) like Brock and Goldberg without complaining once. Austin's done jack shit since then, while Rock is still makes millions in movies.

Fucking stupid wrestling fans. You'll always side with the white trash, right? At least Rock has proven in the real world who the better man always was. If we are talking about REAL success, and just overall respectability and class, then:

Rock>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Austin, Hogan and Flair

So he wears the ring for the same reason he wears a bandana? Priceless.

Posted By: Guest#1392 (Guest)  on November 02, 2009 at 01:23 PM

“Some people say Vince made wrestling and some say it was Hulk Hogan,” Hogan said. “We both did it together. I thought it would be cool to see who has more juice right now." - Hogan

Wow. That is just said Terry, just so sad.

Oh, please. Vince craps all over the legacy of ex employees of his ALL the time. If it's okay for him to tlak crap then turnabout is fair play. Vince is also a hypocrite.

Hell, he enjoyed trashing Hogan HUGE when Hulk went to WCW, but Vince didn't even think twice to use Hogan again a decade later despite calling him 'too old' as early as the early 90s.

I have no mercy for Vince when former employees of his trahs him 'cause he does it to them ALL THE TIME.

Holy shit, some of you guys are fucking idiots. Hogan is aware that Austin is implying he doesn't want to end up like the Hulkster. Those of you who think you are witty by pointing out Austin was referring to Hogan are probably the same kind of people that can only get laid if you drug your mothers and have your way with them.

Volourn, I am not saying that Vince does not do the same thing...anyone would if people left your company for the money and showed you no respect for what you helped them accomplish.

Vice Versa, Vince has done some pretty stupid things when he releases people a la Sgt. Slaughter and such. However, I rareley see Vince dogging on them at every turn.

Just saying. I understand what you are saying, but I do not totally agree with it.

Hulk Hogan demonstrating real class. . . way to go, Brother!
