TNA News: Impact Tapings Update, Foley Comedy Show Canceled
Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.02.2009

- Total Xtreme Comedy sent out the following press release, announcing the cancellation of Mick Foley's standup show tonight. The cancellation is due to the possibility that the Yankees will be winning the World Series:
Hollywood, CA (November 1, 2009) – The scheduled 11/2 Total Extreme Comedy show featuring Mick Foley and Colt Cabana at the Gotham Comedy Club in NYC has been canceled due to the World Series and is being rescheduled for a later date.

Mick Foley said "Sorry to disappoint people who had their hearts set on our shows at Gotham, but we are going to postpone the shows due to the possibilities of World Series mayhem should the Yankee's prevail. I know I wouldn't want to see me on such a big baseball night. And if you're honest with yourself, neither would you."

Ticket holders with questions are encouraged to call Gotham at 212-367-9000. Please visit totalextremecomedy.com later this week for information on the rescheduled date.

- The following has been announced for tonight's TNA Impact tapings…
* An update on TNA champion AJ Styles
* Bobby Lashley vs. Homicide
* Team 3D vs. Hernandez and Matt Morgan
* Tara vs. Daffney
* An update on Hulk Hogan and TNA

Yeah, I'm sure the Foley show was cancelled strictly because of the World Series. How many Al Snow jokes can you tell in one hour?

Preemptive victory, Foley? The Yankees know all too well about losing the big one when it was in the bag. Remember 2004?

Go Phillies!

Damn, I was really looking forward to that. Stupid fake-ass baseball and moronic sports fans who have so little excitement in their lives that when their team wins they have to go riot in the streets. Bah!

Wow, making fun of other sports for being fake on a wrestling site. Now I've seen everything.

In a related story, the Yankees broadcaster had this to say: "I've just heard that across town Mick Foley is going to be doing standup comedy. Yeah, that'll put some butts in the seats."
