The Latest On The Ultimate Warrior vs. WWE Lawsuit
Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.02.2009

According to Pwinsider.com, the Ultimate Warrior's lawsuit against WWE, which the Warrior already conceded, will be dismissed with prejudice November 27th. The lawsuit was over the Self Destruction of The Ultimate Warrior DVD. Judge Roslyn O. Silver is giving Warrior's side until the 27th to file anything that could put the case back in motion, but all signs indicate that the case will be over on the 27th. Warrior recently stated that a portion of the lawsuit that is under federal jurisdiction is still ongoing, but that has not been confirmed.

What a drama queen

Kind of adds more weight to the idea of Warrior in the Hall of Fame next year. He might hate Vince, but he's signed off on things in the past(action figures, video games). I think he might actually accept the invitation, especially being that Mania will be where he lives.

I'm no fan of the Warrior, but that DVD was a complete burial job. Guys like Hogan and Lawler are talking crap in it. Theres a whole segment devoted to how Warrior wearing a baseball cap to the ring when facing Lawler screwed up the promo. Yeah, right. Geez.
Everyone talks about how Warrior screwed up his title reign, but thats as much Hogans fault (big surprise) as anyone elses.
When I heard they were doing the Bret Hart DVD, I thought if Hitman himself didn't contribute, McMahon would have used it to bury him too.

Good, now he can come back with Yokozuna and join the Hart Foundation like it was supposed to be 12 years ago.

As part of the settlement, he has to come in and job to me, to make up for 13 years ago. Once I erase that travesty, I will be remembered as the BEST EVA!!!!

That was exactly the direction Vince would've went in. Hart partially did his DVD for that reason.

Warrior's action figure and video deals were NOT done with the WWE or with their permission; he did not need it. He cut those deals himself. He owns the right to the Ultimate Warrior trade name. He's explained all that in great detail on his website.

Well let's see. Vince offered Warrior a chance to participate in creating the DVD. Like always, he was willing to put personal stuff aside for the sake of the business. But Warrior declined, and then complained about how it turned out. And above that, the DVD was NOT a complete burial job. Hulk Hogan was one of the more complimentary people on the DVD. If Vince really wanted to bury Warrior he would have made a DVD of his matches with Hercules. They were awful.

You can't win a lawsuit if you were asked to create something and then refused to participate.
