Re: Best of Raw 2009 DVD, expect plenty of Chavo / Hornswoggle skits, Jillian Hall singing, Jeremy Piven, Ozzy and the NASCAR idiots mangling wrestlers names, plus one DVD will be full of clips of Randy Orton slowly walking down the ring.

One disc for Chavo vs. Hornswoggle.
One disc for all of Cena's poopy pee gay screamy "jokes."
One disc for Hunter and Shawn making INSIDER COMMENTS!

Featuring classic highlights from the past year such as Orton's multiple chinlocks, Idiotic guest hosts who no one cares about butchering a person's name, Chavo looking like a bigger fool than he already is and so much more!

They released a three disc DVD just covering the DX reunion. They can pull this one off as well.

The Raw DVD will just be them showing the punt to Vince's head from diffrent camera angles. That's the only good thing Raw has produced all year.

Thank god WWE finally realised there's a market for having "Best of" sets for their weekly shows. Too bad they decided to start with 2009, the year of the guest host. The only positive for this is that if this sells well, they might start working their way backwards. I'd pick up the sets for 1997-2004.

Well, they had to run out of good DVDs sooner or later.

I'd buy the rise and fall of wwe dvd

Still waiting for Best of RAW volume 4. 2001-2002. But there was that WWF Action dvd with Trish, Rhyno, and Raven on the cover though. Nevermind.

Despite 2009 not being a stellar year for Raw, i've always thought they ought to do a recap dvd for each year and put the best matches and segments for each show.

Also, manufacturing/distributing is 6-8 weeks lead time, so WWE has to have a finished product to the manufacturer by about Dec 15th, not to mention they need to actually make the product/menus/chyron, which takes a couple of weeks. So are they saying there's not going to be anything good in December? At least they're admitting that, so I can watch football, instead of RAW.

I hope they hurry up & book that Evan Brom vs Kobe Kingston so that can be on the set.

Best of the Action Zone 1995 > Best of Raw 2009

Best of Raw 2009, along with a written apology I'd expect
Posted By: the dude (Guest) on November 08, 2009 at 06:52 PM
I didn't realize there were that many great moments that took place on Raw this year in 2009 that are worthy of being on DVD.
Posted By: Dwayne (Guest) on November 08, 2009 at 06:58 PM
"One disc for all of Cena's poopy pee gay screamy "jokes.""
Don't be silly. That could fill up 15 DVDs easily.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY??? Best of RAW 2009? C'Mon WWE. Give us the the Best of Smackdown 2009! So many good matches this year on that show. Am I right?
Posted By: Scott R (Guest) on November 08, 2009 at 09:04 PM
I'm struggling to think of five matches worth rewatching from Raw in this past year. Smackdown - anything with Morrison, 3 DVDs of that please.

That DVD rules. I think it's actually more entertaining than the "Best of Raw" sets, because it covers the best period of the Attitude Era; 2000-mid 2001. You get plenty of goofy Kurt Angle, psycho Steve Austin, and tons of Trish Stratus. The only letdown is there's not too much Rock. But for the $5 on Amazon, it's well worth picking up now.

I'd buy the rise and fall of wwe dvd
Posted By: Some Guy (Guest) on November 08, 2009 at 05:33 PM
I think that's the official name for this upcoming Raw set.
Posted By: Guest#7953 (Guest) on November 09, 2009 at 12:07 AM
I think WWE does its DVDs in-house to save money, so they probably do all the menus, box art, and other cosmetic stuff well in advance, with all the editing done within a week.

On that Raw set, they should include that really infamous diva match where the girls botched most of their moves while the crowd sat in silence. What do you mean every match is like that?
Posted By: Guest#7708 (Guest) on November 09, 2009 at 12:24 AM
I also think that a Best of SD! set would be great...I live in a market (as do many people) where MyNetwork TV has been dropped for quite some time. A recap of the best matches would be awesome.

I'd pick up the sets for 1997-2004.

You're forgetting. Raw 2002-3 sucked ass
Posted By: Jlevysan (Guest) on November 09, 2009 at 02:50 AM
It will in fact anger me if they don't d a Best of Smackdown 2009, as the summer was glorious.
However, I'd trade both of them for a Chris Jericho disk.
Posted By: Quimby (Guest) on November 09, 2009 at 03:49 AM
Forget Evan Brom/Kobe Kingston. I'd love to see Kobe Kingston vs Kofi Johnston on the DVD

I'd pick up the sets for 1997-2004.

Not to me. I don't go by the groupthink mentality that most of the IWC does. You all decided that 2002/2003 sucked, and so now if it's ever mentioned, you just put it down. I liked alot of the performers back then, and the crowds were still alot of fun. If you ignore all the HHH-related garbage from that period, it's not nearly as bad as people want to make it out to be. As soon as Cena came to Raw, it was all over. I don't blame him exclusively, but it was his arrival that really started the shift to "WWE" as we know it now. Give me a 2002 episode of Raw over everything from 2006-present any day of the week.
Posted By: Guest#0045 (Guest) on November 09, 2009 at 02:58 PM
i, like most people on this site, would rather see a best of sd dvd but more people would buy a best of raw dvd. think about it, raw had lakers (sorta), shaq, big ben, cena, dx, and other shit. its more appealing to a wider audience
