6 months my ass..
Brock should be forced to defend his title against Shane Carwin tomorrow night, no matter what. As I understand these things, is that if he doesnt defend the title within 30 days it becomes vacant. And the next month a "fighting" champion will be declared via tournament.
All fighters fight a little banged up. Stop being a pussy brock, and get in the fucking cage. You should rather die in the cage with dignity, than duck like a fucking coward.

Wow...just, wow. I've never been a fan of Brock but for fuck's sake the guy just had a major health scare and you want to send back to fight just because of some selfish sentiment. Fuck off.

@ Handsome Ray Bronson
man your stupid.
If Dana Whits says he can have the time off and not take his belt away, how is that Brocks fault in any way?
Next time you have major surgery and go back to work the next day, then you MIGHT have a right to complain. but im guessing your day job isn't even close to what these guys go thru.

To all of you would be naysayers look at Matt Serra he was injured and skipped out of the Matt Hughes fight and they didn't take the belt away till GSP took it from him so shut your fucking mouths and let the man heal besides he will need a Dr. to clear him to fight in the cage and no Dr. will do so for at least 6 months after a surgery like he had so get through your thick skull and understand the game yes fighters do fight hurt all the time but once a Dr. is invovled it changes things because it is a sanctioned sport and not a backyard brawl.

Get a fucking clue you tool.
This isn't the WWE and Titles aren't forfeited after 30 days of "not defending the belt."
Maybe you missed that almost all fighters get medical suspensions of 30+ days after each fight. You moron, think before you speak. Just because your some IWC Right-Winger who's pissed because Brock went on to bigger and better things, get over it.
Lesnar will be back, and ready to smash ANYBODIES face in. It'll happen, you just wait and see.

You're kidding, right MadLiberator? My sarcasm detector is off. If you're not, Lesnar has been training with Comprido since before UFC 81. That was a LONG time ago, and with his coach focusing solely on him, Brock probably has better jiu jitsu than a lot of guys most people would consider better. For the Couture fight Comprido said he was around purple belt level (he doesn't train in Gi, so he has no belt), so take from that what you will.

If Brock comes back, I will be surprised. I could see Brock come back to the WWE if he does not pass the UFC fitness evalutation

Um, then you understand things incorrectly. Name me any UFC champion in the last few years who defends the title every month. They don't defend the title every month like a wrestler does.

I guess you are an alcoholic, Tito Santana's been basically retired for years. Plus he has to be getting close to 60. I dont know if thats a big money match, unless your paying in taco's

Nice little debate here. MMA is not pro wrestling, but I think there should be some sort of rule that says a champion must defend his title every X amount of days.
Like, what if Brock is out for a year? 2 years? At some point, a new champion, not an interim champ, must be crowned. It seems like that's the best thing for the sport.

Lesnar should fight Carwin but then purposely get counted out. According to Bill Alfonso, it is every wrestler's constitutional right to be counted out. That way he makes his mandatory defence within the thirty days and retains his title.

Yeah, having a hole in your intestine is a big deal. And don't forget that Shane Carwin had knee surgery, so should he fight tomorrow too?
