Brock Lesnar's Coach Says He Will Fight Again
Posted by Ashish on 11.20.2009

Brock Lesnar's longtime friend and Jiu-Jitsu coach Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros told TMZ yesterday that Brock WILL be ready to fight again within six months.

"I can just say that the heavyweights can stop laughing and get ready to start crying because the champion will be back soon."

Lesnar is healing up following surgery to fix a hole in his intestine.

Brock vs Tito. It'll happen. there's so many big money matches left.

Say I have no feelings. But go away you arrogant jerk.

Hell yeah! I hope he is correct. BROCK SMASH!!!

The eventual Brock Fedor fight will be HUGE

That's great news! Can't wait to see Brock back in action.

6 months my ass..
Brock should be forced to defend his title against Shane Carwin tomorrow night, no matter what. As I understand these things, is that if he doesnt defend the title within 30 days it becomes vacant. And the next month a "fighting" champion will be declared via tournament.
All fighters fight a little banged up. Stop being a pussy brock, and get in the fucking cage. You should rather die in the cage with dignity, than duck like a fucking coward.

"coach Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros"

I thought his coach was Mr. Fugi ?

Wow...just, wow. I've never been a fan of Brock but for fuck's sake the guy just had a major health scare and you want to send back to fight just because of some selfish sentiment. Fuck off.

how is this wrestling news? this belongs in the MMA section. Brock turned his back on wrestling just like Goldberg and the rock. Time to start a sell out section for these idiots.

@ Handsome Ray Bronson
man your stupid.

If Dana Whits says he can have the time off and not take his belt away, how is that Brocks fault in any way?
Next time you have major surgery and go back to work the next day, then you MIGHT have a right to complain. but im guessing your day job isn't even close to what these guys go thru.

I guess you are an alcoholic, Tito Santana's been basically retired for years. Plus he has to be getting close to 60. I dont know if thats a big money match, unless your paying in taco's

To all of you would be naysayers look at Matt Serra he was injured and skipped out of the Matt Hughes fight and they didn't take the belt away till GSP took it from him so shut your fucking mouths and let the man heal besides he will need a Dr. to clear him to fight in the cage and no Dr. will do so for at least 6 months after a surgery like he had so get through your thick skull and understand the game yes fighters do fight hurt all the time but once a Dr. is invovled it changes things because it is a sanctioned sport and not a backyard brawl.

"I can just say that the heavyweights can stop laughing.. "

So why were they laughing? Because Lesnar is scared, and showing his yellow streak.
I always knew he would back down, what piece of shit. I wanted to see this ppv, now I'll miss, because someone got a little stage fright.

I was playing with my kids the other day and stumped my toe on a root and the whole nail came off. but i went to work the next day. i dont see why brock lesnar cant work for 15 minutes?
kinda seems like a weak excuse

Brock does not have to duck from anyone. That's funny.

Posted By: ataylor (Guest)  on November 20, 2009 at 02:44 PM

Get a fucking clue you tool.

This isn't the WWE and Titles aren't forfeited after 30 days of "not defending the belt."

Maybe you missed that almost all fighters get medical suspensions of 30+ days after each fight. You moron, think before you speak. Just because your some IWC Right-Winger who's pissed because Brock went on to bigger and better things, get over it.

Lesnar will be back, and ready to smash ANYBODIES face in. It'll happen, you just wait and see.

I remember the episode of smackdown when Brock glared at someone and his eye glowed green. Provide this man with a dose of gamma rays and he's ready to roll. Brock smaaaash!!

Posted By: Green Hulk (Guest)  on November 20, 2009 at 02:53 PM

You're kidding, right MadLiberator? My sarcasm detector is off. If you're not, Lesnar has been training with Comprido since before UFC 81. That was a LONG time ago, and with his coach focusing solely on him, Brock probably has better jiu jitsu than a lot of guys most people would consider better. For the Couture fight Comprido said he was around purple belt level (he doesn't train in Gi, so he has no belt), so take from that what you will.

How are they sell outs and idiots? Brock gets to live at home with his family instead of being on the road all fucking year, taking less of a beating on his body. Yeah, what an idiot.

Posted By: Guest#4160 (Guest)  on November 20, 2009 at 03:05 PM

If Brock comes back, I will be surprised. I could see Brock come back to the WWE if he does not pass the UFC fitness evalutation

Dude, that's fucking WWE and TNA bylaws. MMA is NOT Pro Wrestling!!!
When Couture was having legal battles with UFC, he didn't defend for over a year. Hell, Strikeforce doesn't have an interim HW title, and their champ hasn't defended once in the two years since he won it.
Remember to distinguish real fighting from Sports entertainment before you start commenting.

Um, then you understand things incorrectly. Name me any UFC champion in the last few years who defends the title every month. They don't defend the title every month like a wrestler does.

Brock knows a bit of Jujitsu for sure. His textbook half guard defense during the mir fight shows that.

dana white siad it the other night on the ultimate fighter.
"every fighter fights less than %100, its a part of wanting it. if you cant handle it, someone else will".

take the title from him, lots of people fight hurt. i dont see y hes so damn special.

I guess lesnars not a tough guy after all. i guess this is a new ufc trend. first rampaged ducks rashard to play MR.T in a movie, and now lesnar. Maybe he can play murdoch, since he's been playing a fighter for this long. wow he beat frank mir, and a 68 year old randy coture. im really impressed...loser

You guys are complete idiots. Seller dwellers who have never touched a woman or been in a real fight. You do know that fighters DO get HURT, right? This isn't football where you can play hurt because your TEAM needs you, this is MMA where the amount of money you make for YOURSELF depends on your ranking, name and if you're champ. He is doing what has to do and for a bunch of mutha fuckas who don't know how serious his condition maybe, why are you so quick to jump on Lesnar because he wanted out of imaginary land pain killers and injuries EVERY night...

Nice little debate here. MMA is not pro wrestling, but I think there should be some sort of rule that says a champion must defend his title every X amount of days.
Like, what if Brock is out for a year? 2 years? At some point, a new champion, not an interim champ, must be crowned. It seems like that's the best thing for the sport.

That's the rules for the WWE's vacant titles. You couldn't fight in the ufc healthy, so grow a pair and stop talking trash behind your moms modem.

Posted By: Jared (Guest)  on November 20, 2009 at 07:41 PM

Lesnar should fight Carwin but then purposely get counted out. According to Bill Alfonso, it is every wrestler's constitutional right to be counted out. That way he makes his mandatory defence within the thirty days and retains his title.

Yeah, having a hole in your intestine is a big deal. And don't forget that Shane Carwin had knee surgery, so should he fight tomorrow too?
