Oh man, Shane thinks that "bouncin' round with a loose left" crap is going to work in UFC? I hope he doesn't stomp his foot on the mat when he throws his first and only punch. Dude is gonna get destroyed!

So that's carny code for "yes, he's our new figurehead."

Quick, let's dig up some stuff on Shane. I know, we'll drag his family's name through the mud like we have done with the Guerrero's. Oh wait.

He left WWE for this? Say what you will, but UFC is just as scripted as WWE, look at Couture's last match with Vera. I can't wait till Shane Finds this out.

Maybe Shane O'Mac will be joining the middleweight division??

If Shane wasn't a McMahon he wouldn't even be a wrestling fan.

May as well have said "Yeah, we've signed Shane McMahon to a 2-year deal where he will basically take the UFC brand worldwide. Fuck WWE!"

WOW

This can't be a good thing. UFC will lose a certain amount of it's integrity (by that I mean as a "real" sport) by associating with the son of the largest sports entertainment conglomerate in the world. Especially since HE was a major player in that company.

Hope he does i wanna see barbwire fence matches

If Shane does go to work for the UFC, it's going to be as a double agent for Vince.

UFC 107: TITO ORTIZ VERSUS SHANE O MAC!!!

If that happens you know he is doing it to piss off Vince. Steph and HHH calling too many shots, so Shane goes with the company that is the sport of the times? Am I just assuming or bored?

Posted By: T-Mac (Guest)  on November 22, 2009 at 05:51 PM

With both Linda and Shane out of the WWE picture for the time being.
It seems that the long term future of the WWE is in hands of HHH and Stephanie.

so instead of asking him "what was the meeting about" ppl instead asked him "is he gonna work with ufc in the future" ??

I cant wait until UFC fans are sitting in auditoriums crying into their fat, holding a mic, blubbering "It's still real to me!"

Shane McMahon and Brock Lesnar versus Vince McMahon and Triple H versus Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett in a WWE versus UFC versus TNA hybrid Money in the Bank King of the Mountain (You have to pin an opponent to be elegible to take the briefcase down, wait 10 seconds and put it back up there) three-way tag team match in an octagon ring at Wrestlemanis XXVI!

Well, it is different than wrestling. I really never watch WWE anymore, but I think Shane can do well in the UFC.

You might think of joining TNA, but I do not think you would go for it! But there's nothing wrong with a McMahan especially if he is ready to turn over a new leaf.
I say go for it Shane, although I stopped watching WWE and really dig TNA and the Knockouts division. I think it's a new step like an infant learning to crawl and take it's 1st step in life. "Go for it Shanomack!" "It's all about competition Shane"

Of course. Vince already has Hogan working as a double agent in TNA.

Makes sense. Given the behind the scenes business work that Shane was doing for WWE he would be a natural for helping the UFC expand into new markets and grow overall in the coming years. If nothing else I'm hoping he convinces UFC to do some DVDs in the style of the WWE DVDS. I like the standard UFC event DVDs, but I would love to have some UFC DVDs that focus on a specific fighter's career and includes commentaries and a bio segment.

listen morons. Shane isn't trying to be a fighter. he's going to be investing in the UFC! Dana White and Shane O'Mac's money..UFC is going to be HUGE!

look for a HUGE announcement the day after Thanksgiving! you heard it here first.

It's a work by Vince to send Shane in and ruin the UFC.

Wow... talk about stupidity. Dumbass, it's a work in the sense that UFC is a business, which exist to make money. Even in boxing, the fights are built up and the outcomes are pretty much known. You're a fucking idiot if you think Shane Mac doesn't already know its a heavily manipulated sporting event. That's probably why he is a good fit for the company to begin with.

Wow, I don't know that I've ever read so many stupid comments in such quick succession before.

Do half the people here even know what Shane actually does in the WWE 95% of the time. Where's JP Pragg to explain how the real works when you need him??

For the last couple of years he has been behind the pile of TV deals which the WWE has been signing around the whole and which are about the only thing keeping the WWE growing as its domestic revenue tanks.

UFC is where the WWE was a few years ago internationally, it's run shows in a couple of overseas markets (UK, Ireland) and has a handful of TV deals in English speaking countries.

It's clear they want to take this to next level and appointing Shame would be big step towards making that happen. He must know pretty well every senior TV exec on stations likely to be interested in the UFC around the world. Getting him would be a huge coup for the UFC and couple short cut their growth by years.

Figured out you can fling poop at people yet, folks?

'So that's carny code for "yes, he's our new figurehead."'

exactly, it is only to add him to the UFC's current storylines and nothing more. kinda like Hogan 'running' TNA.
