ROH News: November 24th Newswire
Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.24.2009

From ROHWrestling.com:

- Big news hit yesterday as the Final Battle Weekend matches for our four outstanding AAA imports have been announced. Released via the ROHWrestling.com main page (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=3087), it was announced that on December 18th in Manassas, VA, a huge 8-Man Dream Tag Team Bout has been signed as The Briscoes will team with Jack Evans and Rocky Romero to oppose Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards – The American Wolves – and their partners, Alex Koslov and Teddy Hart. Nowhere else in wrestling will you find a ring this full of talent, history, and unpredictability! Then on December 19th at "Final Battle 2009" in New York City, AAA rivalries collides as Cuban veteran Rocky Romero and the incredible Jack Evans will do battle with Russian standout Alex Koslov and the incomparable Teddy Hart. These four have been at each other for months over the AAA cruiserweight title, and they're bringing that history to ROH! Don't be left out! Tickets are going fast at www.rohwrestling.com!

- Did you tune into HDNet last night and see one of the best Tag Team matches on television this year? Chime in at the ROH Message Forum or at any of our social networking sites. Twitter@mikeshort06 says, "Main event was incredible…best match I'll see all night. Great way for Nigel to leave too!" If you haven't seen the episode, stay tuned to Youtube later this week as the American Wolves versus the Young Bucks proves why ROH has the deepest tag team division in wrestling. Don't get HDNet? Call your local cable provider NOW and demand to see Ring of Honor!

- BREAKING NEWS: Just signed for December 19th in Manassas, VA is a rematch from the latest event in suburban Toronto. Roderick Strong and Tyler Black went to an outstanding 20-minute time limit draw that left the capacity crowd clamoring for more. Well, now they've gotten their wish. Both men eagerly signed to face each other once more, this time with a 30-minute time limit. After SOTF '09 and their last classic, more than just pride is at stake. Precious Pick 6 spots are sure to be at risk as well, but don't forget, both competitors have Pick 6 Challenges on tap in Chicago on 12/5! Strong takes on Kenny Omega, while Tyler Black faces a more personal foe in Kenny King, and you'll get comments from Strong and Black regarding those matches in the upcoming ROH Videowire.

- Signed to appear for Ring of Honor's big debut in Los Angeles on January 29th: Kenny Omega, Chris Hero, Kevin Steen, El Generico, The Young Bucks, Joey Ryan, and Roderick Strong. Plus the Human Tornado's return to ROH and the debut of the impressive Scott Lost. And don't forget that the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Liger will be in action as well! We'll have more talent and match confirmations as we move forward.

- A rematch from October has been signed for 12/5 in the Windy City. Truth Martini has been upset by the lack of luck that his House of Truth has had despite being impressive in ROH Tag Team action. "People have only seen the surface scratched," said Martini. "Able and Raymond are warriors. They fight with a purpose that is as pure as the clearest waters and tag team glory is what we'll attain in ROH. In Indianapolis, those punk kids, the Young Bucks, they too only scratched the surface. When we meet again in Chicago, they'll see more. They'll see the TRUTH." It's the House of Truth versus the Young Bucks one more time on 12/5! Can the HoT score the big win they need to remain in the hunt? The best Tag Team action can only be found in Ring of Honor! For more information on this event visit www.ChicagoProWrestling.com.

- Shane Howard at HitTheRopes.com takes a look at the landscape of wrestling and why you NEED to watch Ring of Honor. Check out his piece at http://hittheropes.com/wrestlingarticles/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=236:ring-of-honor-watch-it-or-continue-to-complain-about-watching-the-same-old-crap&catid=1:latest-news&directory=1 and let us know what you think!

- Did you see the emotional footage of Eddie Kingston from "Glory By Honor VIII"? If not, go to http://www.you-tube.com/watch?v=JUg52X9eeWI, and take a listen to "God's Middle Child" as he describes what he felt leading into that event in New York, all of the struggles he cut through to get there, and what it meant for him to be able to step in the ring across from Chris Hero in midtown Manhattan. We all know the result of that encounter. Since then, Kingston has been attacked backstage at the last ROH on HDNet TV Taping, and is on record as saying he knows it was Hero and he wants another shot. "That Young Knockout Kid" has avoided Kingston and, in effect, branded Kingston a "dead issue", but did give thoughts in front of ROH cameras and we will see that footage soon in the Videowire. One man wants more; the other says there is no more. Something has got to give in this saga.

- The BLACK FRIDAY SALE is coming!!! We won't make you wait until Friday to take advantage of the biggest sale is company history. Check back on Thursday night to start your shopping early. This is one sale you DON'T want to miss.

- ROH has so much to be thankful in 2009, but most of all we're thankful for you - the fans. Thank you for your support and we look forward to closing out 2009 in grand fashion! Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday, and, we can't say it enough: From the bottom of everyone's heart at Ring of Honor, THANK YOU.

Good thing the big tag in VA is not a cage match. Maybe this time Teddy wont randomly start flipping and puke in the ring. Even if he does though, he doesn't have to worry about the Carnage Crew beating his ass. Ahhh the good old days. haha
