- Get ready Chicago! On Saturday, the steel cage comes into play in the Windy City for the first time in nearly a year! As was reported yesterday at ROHWrestling.com (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=3107), Colt Cabana successfully petitioned for an amendment to the World Championship match versus Austin Aries on Saturday night. After watching last Monday's broadcast of ROH on HDNet and reliving another example of Aries' minions doing his dirty work (http://www.you-tube.com/watch?v=GqwxmXdGano), Cabana has called for the cage! Aries' recent comments about Cabana's charge to "reverse the curse" only added fuel to the fire, and surprisingly, Aries has agreed to the stipulation! But in the champion's typical fashion, he got a stipulation of his own added. Should Cabana fail to win the match, he will NEVER receive another World Title match in his hometown of Chicago. Can Cabana brave the cage and take the title? Be there on Saturday night and witness for yourself!
- Saturday's event will take place at the Frontier Fieldhouse, 9807 Sayre Avenue, Chicago Ridge, IL 60415. Bell time is 7:30 PM. Besides Aries vs. Cabana in a CAGE for the World Title, you'll also see: (3) Roderick Strong vs. (5) Kenny Omega in a Pick 6 Series Match; Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Dark City Fight Club; (4) Tyler Black vs. Kenny King in a Pick 6 Series Match with no outside interference allowed; (1) Kevin Steen vs. Claudio Castagnoli in a Pick 6 Series Match; Necro Butcher vs. Erick Stevens in a Grudge Match; plus much more. Jim Cornette will be in attendance in Chicago and will be available for a FREE Meet & Greet session from 6:30-7:30 pm. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show!!!
- The Buy 3, Get 2 Free Ring of Honor DVD Sale is back at ROHWrestling.com until Monday morning. The sale will also be in effect at the merchandise table this weekend in Chicago Ridge. - ROH's debut in Los Angeles on January 29th, 2010 just got bigger. - Newly signed to appear for ROH's big debut in California in January: Kenny King, Jerry Lynn, The Briscoe Brothers, Current ROH World Champion Austin Aries, Current ROH World Tag team Champion Eddie Edwards, the Necro Butcher, Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana, Delirious, Erick Stevens, Claudio Castagnoli, "Crazy" Ace Steel, and Tyler Black. Representatives from Highspots and WrestleReunion are planning a special showcase match of their own to be presented on the card as well, and we'll have more information on this as we move forward.
- There was a lot of press coverage this week for ROH's return to Chi-town on Saturday night. World Champion Austin Aries spoke to Jessi Virtusio at the Southtown Star about a variety of topics. - Just signed to round out Saturday's card, the massive "Skullkrusher", Rasche Brown will take on the returning Sami Callihan, the debuting Shane Hollister, and the Embassy's hired "Magnum", Joey Ryan in Four Corner Survival action. Last time out in Chicago, Skullkrusher Brown was victorious. Can he do it again or will Hollister debut in winning fashion? Can the unpredictable Callihan get it done, or will Prince Nana trump them all with the Magnum?
