I'm sure it had nothing to do with Spike TV wanting to announce the special on their highest rated show and everything to do with Dana being a nice guy.

And here I thought Dana hated professional wrestling.

Am I the only one wondering whether this will lead to Bobby Lashley joining UFC? It makes sense now Brock Lesnar is out and the fact that TNA isn't going to go all out with Lashley due to his desire to pursue a MMA career at the same time.
Gotta mention though... Shane McMahon, now Dixie Carter and Hogan being all friendly with Dana White... bizarre times indeed!

He does. Dixie let him hit it.

"Ew

What do you EW? I'd watch that! It would be a lot more entertaining than what Raw has been showing lately!

Dixie is smart...UFC is hot, staying on Dana's good side will net some free promotion.
Unlike Vince, who'd rather stick his head in the sand than acknowledge that MMA is eating away his audience fairly rapidly.

Joe - i love how professional wrestling is trying to get more viewers by begging dana white to be on his shows. Hows it taste mma hating Wrestling fans that wrestling needs mma for publicity? I love it!!

It's kinda like the point of being on a network is that they can cross-promote and make everyone win.
It's just too bad they didn't know this back in 2000; ECW might still be around if they did. Of course, ECW was the highest rated show on TNN in 2000 so... ...

This had little to do with Dana, Im pretty HBICs at Spike made the UFC do it seeing how these are there ONLY 2 shows that are worth a damn.

Agreed on the EW. for some reason TNA fanboys seem to get a pop out of dixie. Very sad.

It works both ways, though. Such as all the times that WWE Superstars have guest starred on USA's various original series. It gets WWE fans to watch the original programming and fans of the original programming may tune in to WWE.
If Balls Mahoney had only been given the chance to do a musical number at the Grand Ole Opry, ECW would still be alive and kicking today.

wrestling is fake fags get over it

Yeah it's a shame they didn't. If they had we could still have the magnificent talents of Justin Credible, Simon Diamond, Chris Chetti, and Mikey Whipwreck on our TVs. Damn you TNN!!
