Posted By: The IWC (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 12:34 AM
So what exactly is a Chairs match?
Aside from the Christian/Benjamin match, that by all rights should kick all kinds of ass, this looks pretty boring.

Mc Intyre wins.Morrison gives him a lapdance afterwards.
Shelton wins.Christian goes to RAW.
jerishow wins.Dx break up.
Sheamus wins.Cena quits WWE.
Batista wins.Taker retires.

what the hell is a chairs match?
I'm guessing this was said on-air, as it was said live during Cole and Lawler's hard sell, this match is a regular match, but chairs are legal.

How in the hell is this card worth buying? I am not making excuses for TNA, and their product has been bad for the past few years, until the past few months, but you guys act like WWE is worth something. Their PPVs are horrible, their shows look the same each week and they treat you guys like you are stupid. Well, for once I do agree with the WWE, you would have to be an idiot to watch their product, let alone defend this garbage week in and week out.
Posted By: man you are dumb (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 01:37 AM
Orton and Kingston have wrestled two weeks in a row now on FREE TV and now they expect people to PAY to see them? I could understand if the previous encounters were non-title and the PPV was for a championship but neither man is a title holder. And yes, I admit neither of the two matches on RAW had a totally non-tainted finish but how do we know the PPV match will have a clean finish?
Posted By: jasonel (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 02:23 AM
This show looks like its going to be a lot of fun. I'll order it.
Posted By: Savenext (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 02:56 AM
ill buy it kofi and ortin coukld be good christian vs bengamin will be awsome taker and batista have great chemistry the tlc tag match looks awsome and tables match will be decent and the ic match will be good but wont get the time
Posted By: jp (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 06:43 AM
Good card, may have to buy this one.
Posted By: jbardo (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 07:15 AM
I'm more of a TNA fan, but this card looks pretty solid. The TLC match should main event, obviously. Christian/Shelton, Orton/Kofi, and Taker/Batista should all be good. Cena vs. Sheamus is just a dumb match, but it is ok since the Tag Team Titles should be in the main event.

What the hell are you talking about? WWE pay per views are much more consistently good than TNA. TNA has had at most 4 above average PPV's this year, WWE reached that point by mid year, not everybody has act like a negative little bitch.
Card looks good, Armageddon was my favorite show of last year, hopefully this is as good as that, Christian v Shelton will steal the show but Orton-Kofi and the Tag titles should be great as well.
Posted By: Guest#7170 (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 09:11 AM
Why are people acting like the definition of "chairs match" is totally obvious? It's not like the WWE OR the WWF has done a lot of them....
Posted By: Paul (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 09:16 AM
Well, every match has at least one decent performer in it...so it will be up to those guys to make this PPV memorable. The new guys who have been given a shot need to make a big impact otherwise it's back to the lower midcard come January & the Mania-build...
Posted By: Guest#3630 (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 09:42 AM
I budget for 1 PPV per year (not counting watching Wrestlemania with friends) and wait to Netflix all the rest on DVD. Kinda wish I hadn't gotten the '09 Rumble because this one looks really interesting, and I wasn't nuts about the Rumble at all.
It seems like a chairs match would be one where you can smash your opponent with chairs as much as you want...i guess "chairs are legal" is the easist way to say it. I'm really interested in Sheamus vs. Cena. Sheamus will win, just for shits and gigs.
I think Christian/Benjamin and DX/Jerishow will be awesome. At least one of those will be worth the $$ alone.
Maybe I'll budget for one extra PPV this year...i mean, with the good economy and a newborn daughter that's probably a sound idea, right?
Well, I guess I look forward to watching this in January...

This isn't worth buying.
But I wouldn't mind seeing McIntyre's hair taking Morrison's belt.
Posted By: Guest#5930 (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 10:42 AM
I've ordered it, every match should be great (except the bog break divas match)
Posted By: Guest#1239 (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 10:58 AM
The chairs will be swinging ever so gently in that last match.
And no, won't be buying.
Posted By: demOcratic (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 11:08 AM
Legit question. So it just means chairs are legal? And that's different from say a "no holds barred" match or a "No DQ" match? Does it mean, you can only finish the match by striking your opponent with a chair and pinning them? And oh yeah, I'm glad to see there creative juices are flowing, I was just hoping that someday the Undertaker would feud with Batista... oh wait...
Posted By: gwpbrian (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 11:25 AM
Christian and Shelton should be cool.
What were to happen if you bust out a kendo stick in a chairs match? Do you stop the guy?
Posted By: The Other Ryan (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 12:10 PM
Don't be surprised if Batista or Undertaker murder their families and kill themselves several weeks after the "Chairs" match.
Posted By: Propagandhi (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 12:14 PM
I'll take... Orton via shenanigans, Morrison, Shelton (A face vs face 'passing of the ECW torch' to get Christian to another show), JeriShow (unless it's the main event, then it's DX), Batista, and finally... Sheamus wins, Cena uses his rematch, Cena regains. Just so they can call Sheamus a former champion.

Totally agree. 100% WWE needs to do some new shit or TNA gonna make them take notice soon and make them step up their game and get out of "kiddie land"

Its offical the WWE marks can't even answer a simple question about a stupid gimmick match so go ahead mark tell us what the hell is the point of that?

Don't ask simple questions of the marks they'll just embarass themselves with pathetic insults just say your peace and leave the tools to bitch thats all the marks are good at these days. They're downright embarassing to have conversations with.

Because TNA has had GREAT ppvs no above average like most of WWEs this year. Final resolution won't stink either as much as you tools want to believe it will.

This is why you are dumb - you can't read. I admitted in my first statement that TNA hasn't been good until the past few months. The overall point is I wouldn't buy a WWE PPV because you know it won't be good. Short 8 minute matches wrapped in long intros and backstage segments. Have fun throwing away your kids food money.
Posted By: man that guest is dumb (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 04:52 PM
Seeing as how Big Show is going out for knee surgery, i'm guessing DX will win.

"Short 8 minute matches wrapped in long intros and backstage segments. Have fun throwing away your kids food money. "
There was only one 8 minute match at Survivor Series. Three matches went over 20 minutes.
The PPV before was Bragging Rights, and it had a 60 minute iron man match, and only one match that went 8 minutes or less (the womens match).
WWE PPV's have been really good this year, There was a couple bad ones (Breaking Point, Judgment Day) but mostly good ones (No Way Out, Summerslam). TNA Turning Point was likely the best WWE or TNA PPV of the year. But I thought Bound For Glory was worse then the majority of WWE 2009 PPV's.
Posted By: Your Guest Host (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 07:58 PM
Undertaker can definately take a chair shot. I remember Edge hit him hard with several unprotected shots in there TLC match. Regardless of what the rules are, it should be at least decent.
I'm going to order the show. I don't know if it'll top Turning Point, but it should be quite good.
Posted By: Nevermore (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 09:01 PM
Well I will watch it and record as normal, but thats only because vince provides it to overseas service members for free. Otherwise I probably wouldnt watch it unless I could get it for 5 bucks. I still dont buy Shamus as a legit condender.
Posted By: Guest#2947 (Guest) on December 08, 2009 at 09:26 PM
I will never purchase a show entitled "Tables, Ladders, and Chairs" I might pirate it, but will never purchase it.
