- The pre-sale code for the WWE event on February 5th at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia is CHAMPISHERE1. The sale begins on Friday, December 18th and runs from 10AM to 10PM. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]
- The following press release was sent out today, announcing Bobby Lashley for the TNA Tour of the UK in January. It should be noted that this could change as Lashley is scheduled to debut for the Strikeforce MMA promotion on January 30th.
Bobby Lashley joins the card for TNA Wrestling's "Maximum iMPACT!" January 2010 UK Tour
In January 2010, "The Boss" Bobby Lashley is joining the card for TNA Wrestling's biggest UK Arena Tour along with some of the greatest TNA Talent.
"The Boss" Bobby Lashley has returned to professional wrestling with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling and has achieved something never before done in - The former World Champion is the first active professional wrestler in the western hemisphere to also pursue a career as a mixed martial arts fighter.
This January Lashley will make his first appearance in the United Kingdom as a TNA Superstar. Lashley will be joined by some of the greatest TNA Talent including The Olympic Gold Medallist" Kurt Angle, "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Awesome Kong, Team 3D, Abyss, Suicide, British Invasion, Beer Money and many more.
After a distinguished amateur wrestling career at Missouri Valley College, where he was a four-time All-American and won three individual national titles, Lashley enlisted in the United States Army before becoming a professional wrestler.
After turning pro Lashley became a two-time World Champion and headlined multiple worldwide pay-per-view events around the globe before walking out of the business at his peak to pursue his mixed martial arts career. He's currently undefeated at 4-0, including an impressive first-round victory over Bob Sapp via submission in June 2009.
Lashley has publicly stated that he seeks to become a World Champion in TNA and in mixed martial arts. "The Boss" is in the fold and his presence will be felt throughout professional wrestling.
