Bret Hart-WWE Rumors
Posted by Larry Csonka on 12.16.2009
Is Bret coming back?
After the name drop of Bret Hart on Monday night, many have been wondering if Hart is indeed returning to the company as has been rumored on several occasions. According to Pwinsider.com, there are stories going around that Hart has signed a four month deal with WWE, a deal that would make him available for the January 4th Raw, which will run head to head with TNA. The rumored contract would secure Hart through WrestleMania 26. The impression from those within the company are that the name drop on Monday was the way to move forward with the rumored return. The story is far from confirmed, so take it as a rumor for now.

I won't get my hopes up, but think about it anyway. Think of how loud his ovation would be if his music hit, his titantron video played, and he walked down that ramp. The roof would come off the arena!

Can you someone give the devil a call and find out if its got a bit chilly round his place?
What a return of serve it would be to TNA if they could secure Hart for 4th January, don't know exactly how they would use him for 4 months up to now (Smackdown GM helping to get Hart Dynasty over?) but just the sheer freaking visual impact of seeing Bret back in a WWE ring and the possible tensions between Hart/HBK/Mcmahon (onscreen or real) would be sensational viewing!!

As I said months ago, a source told me Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon is set for WM26 come March.

From the sounds of it this story is in fact confirmed by Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer. Bret has signed a contract that takes effect on January 1st 2010 and he will be live on RAW Monday January 4th. He will participate in the Road to Wrestlemania and be a big part of Wrestlemania 26 in Phoenix Arizona.
I am hugely excited about this and all of us wrestling fans should be getting a real treat with the return of the Best there is, was or every will be...The Hitman Bret Hart.
Now the real question is, does he have one more match left in him and against who? John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels or The Undertaker? Who would Bret Hart face if he had one last match in him?
Posted By: M Gardner (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:42 PM
I think that would draw more than The Rock. Well...maybe...

Now times are getting interesting with pro wrestling. On top of this huge news is TNA's answer that a source told me a few minutes ago.....
TNA will debut a new iMPACT Zone set for January 4th's show, and the six sided ring is all but gone.
Posted By: JUSTINW (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:45 PM
Like other stories like this, I'll believe it when I see it. If it happens? Awesome, I'll be watching. If it doesn't? I won't be surprised.
Posted By: ThatNickGuy78 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:45 PM
I'd actually watch Raw that night.
Posted By: Guest#0847 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:46 PM
Oh, it is confirmed. Remember when Vince said to Roddy Piper on RAW a few weeks back that he would retire until he found competition worth fighting?
Yeah, that was when the deal was signed for Vince vs Bret, as the same time saw Mr. Teddy Long get put on 'probation'.
Posted By: Mysterious (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:46 PM
If he does end up coming back, let's hope he is at least the Raw GM for those 4 months because this new celebrity gm every week shit has got to go.

I just came a little.

Posted By: Dan (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:51 PM
Three things. One, I would love to see Bret Hart come backl to the WWE. Two, the WWE won't be in trouble in ratings, but this would bring alot of viewers to see Raw, probably bring in a 4.5 ratings, if that ever happens, since it will have alot of people say "no way, he is really back". And three, if this rumor is indeed fact, then what made Bret Hart decide to come back to WWE.
Posted By: oh great (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:51 PM
would love to see it, doubt it though
mimnd you wouldnt it be great if The Rock guest hosted Janury 4th AND Bret made a return! TNA wouldnt stand a chance! Mind you i gave up on TNA a wile ago, almost bout to give up on WWE as well unless things pick up

I really hope Bret Hart is signing with WWE. This would be huge. WWE really needs this right now. They've made some questionable calls lately. Especially the no blood and PG crap. I'd be fired up if Bret is coming back.

This will actually make me watch Raw and all other New York programs again. Plus, this is the rub that will get Smith, Kidd and Neidhart to another level.
Posted By: D-Bo (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 08:25 PM
If he does come back, he HAS to feud with Shawn. Have Bret be the permanent GM of Raw and make HBK's life a living hell all the way up til Wrestlemania.HHH turns on HBK, aligns with Bret and challenges HBK at Wrestlemania and on that night, when Bret is about to get his final revenge on Shawn, HBK overcomes him and HHH and wins the match, leaving Bret still bitter and angry. Simple.
Posted By: tonware (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 08:26 PM
I don't think Bret will be there. Not even for a one shot deal.
Posted By: Casey (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 08:29 PM
bret manages the hart dynasty at wm26 as they fight for the tag titles, not held dx.

Shawn, that's great, congratulations on your Slammy, I'm really happy for you. No direspect, but let's talk about the greatest award ever: The Montreal Screwjob award, which goes to me! I got robbed in 97. I should still be WWF Champion! This isn't about you, this isn't about Undertaker, this is about me!
You know something, Heartbreak Kid, I can beat you. I know it, and, more importantly, you know it. So right here tonight, I'm throwing out the challenge. You and me, WrestleMania, one more time.

Posted By: Guest#4050 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 09:21 PM
I'll believe it when I see it, but this would be way bigger IMO than The Rock hosting on January 4th, and is just the "big" thing I was hoping that would come out of the TNA January 4th announcement. I just hope TNA does SOME sort of okay rating so the possibility of more Monday night wars happen, as this is the shot in the arm WWE needs to improve the product.

This is obviously setting up Hart/McMahon at Wrestlemania. Bret won't work with Shawn, and I don't blame him. Besides, the money is in a match with Vince McMahon, not Shawn Michaels. And the Vince match means Bret can be on offense the entire time and not put his health at risk.
The only reason he is doing this is because he's hurting for cash right now. And so he can bang Melina.
Posted By: Guest#6533 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 09:31 PM

Guaranteed letdown. I was a Hitman mark back in the day like many others but him coming back would be like going back to college for frosh week 10 years after you graduated. It's just not the same thing and it never lives up to the hype of the memories. The older I get, the better I was and that holds even more true for aging ex-superstars who crave one more day in the spotlight.

This would be awesome but wouldn't this only appeal to IWC fans. The new generation of casual fans have no clue who Bret Hart is.
Also after his stroke and break from wrestling, would he be able to give good promos that would appeal to a new audience?
Posted By: Bunkhouse Buck (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 09:44 PM
So much for WWE not being concerned at all, and so much for the people thinking TNA's move wouldn't be good for wrestling. Vince is already forced to get off his ass and give us something better than Hornswoggle in court.
Posted By: C (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 09:45 PM
Oh, so WWE is reacting to the TNA Monday night move. Interesting. Well, whatever side you pick, if you're into that sort of stuff, January 4th is shaping up to be much more interesting thanks to competition. How is that a bad thing?
Posted By: Guy Incognito (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 09:47 PM
Am I the only one thinking it won't change a thing? The company only cares about the younger demographic. Do you think any of those kids who cried after Cena lost the title even know who Hart is? Ratings won't change for them. And so many older fans will either: 1. Not believe it or 2. Not care. I don't see ratings on the 4th going up that much. I'll be watching Impact, and nothing else.

Holy shit, this would be fucking awesome. Even if he doesn't wrestle one more time (not too sure how well he's holding up) just seeing Bret in a WWE ring once again would be epic. If this rumor is true, and when all is said and done, Bret can get the send-off he should have had in 1997.
I'm just praying that if this is legit, they don't have some stupid-ass storyline where Bret screws anyone over, even if it's Vince, Shawn, or HHH. That's been done to death.

Its sad he can't wrestle anymore but that no wear near matters. Bret Hart Jan 4th Raw will murder TNA in the ratings. Maybe you should have given Bret back the belt in 93 Hogan!
Im sad this isnt happening in Canada but WWE might not want to pay when the fans blow the roof off that place
Posted By: cool Moe D (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 10:12 PM
Its me vs Brett at WM26. I will be the opposition for Vince beat him and he'll make Brett against me and I'll have Jim Powers in my corner
Posted By: Paul Roma (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 10:12 PM
I think a better way for them to do this is to have Hitman VS. Vince. During the match HBK comes out as if he's going to help Vince. The set up would be Hitman has vince in the Sharpshooter, and HBK enters the ring. Hitman let's go and the two have a stare down. Vince is ready to hit his stunner on Hitman. Kick to the stomach...Sweetchin Music and Vince is out. Hitman and shawn celebrate in the ring. Then Hitman will become the GM for one of the shows. Ecpect a major improvement in the tag team division.
Posted By: Tony D. (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 10:13 PM
i think it would be fitting if he returned to screw over shawn michaels and retire him permanatly at wrestlemania in a retirement match.
Posted By: sketchy1 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 10:20 PM
wwe should push bret hart's return on raw starting next week.
it is obvious that raw will now be 3 hours on usa on jan. 4th because bret can deliver great ratings for wwe even in the 8pm hour.
bret is coming back because he wants to end his career the right way and on the big stage of wwe.
plus, bret hates flair and hogan and would love to show them up in the cable ratings.
mcmahon and bret know that nostalgia acts have a shelf life.
unlike tna who are going to build their company around guys who are 50 and up in age.

leave it to the tna marks to bash bret going back to wwe for a few months.
wwe wants to attract old school fans with this move and crush tna in the process and chase them off monday nights.
wwe is going to promote hart's return with a three hour raw.
tna is hoping to attract old fans with has been hogan in the stupid impact zone.
if kids today don't care about hart, they sure as hell don't care about has been hogan who is full of shit and can't do a leg drop anymore.
face it, wwe has trumped tna with this move and has been hogan will see that bret is a bigger draw than him rating wise.

Looks like we`re already seeing what competition does for the quality of our Monday nights.
Also, if Bret is the WWE`s answer to Hulk Hogan, I would find it hard to accept the arguement from people who say that Bret never drew a dime in his career.
Posted By: Smitty (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 11:40 PM
Im sorry, but if Bret comes back to feud with HBK or McMahon, he is a sell out.
Posted By: Guest#0904 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 11:42 PM
The idea of Bret Hart in any on-air capacity is certainly exciting. That being said, I think we can safely take the option of Bret wrestling off the table. Aside from the stroke he suffered a few years ago, Bret says that he still has lingering issues resulting from Goldberg's head kick.
So if Bret doesn't wrestle, what would be the point of him signing a four month contract? Best guess: The referee for Taker-Michaels II. Now that would be awesome!
Posted By: Hammond Eggar (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 11:43 PM
confirmed in Canada whoo!
Posted By: Guest#3595 (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 11:44 PM
LOL all the WWE marks in here. All you guys can do is drool over a guy who hasn't been seen in a ring in over a frigging decade and think he's the answer. if Hogan had come back you'd be saying the same thing about him to be sure, or if hart had plans on going to TNA it would be a slam fest on him.
I like Hart as much as the next guy but for the past 6 months when he gets mentioned on here all we see and read are posts calling him a cry babay sissy and telling him to stay in canada. Now that it is rumored or confirmed or whatever that he might be coming back to WWe you guys are jerking off all over your keyboards.
Now I see why WWE keep its fan base, theyre all a bunch of complete idiots. even the ones that are supposed to be smarter than the 'average' fan.
Hart actually has less relevance than Hogan, and certainly doesnt have nearly the name recognition he does despite everything he did 20 years ago. And I would bet my balls he cant wrestle anymore, and if he actually does come back he probably wont even try.
But it is right up WWE alley bringing back a bunch of old timers to keep the retro nostalgia going and trying to sqeeze some sort of viewership ot of it.
Everyone on here wants new talent pushed and to see the old timers step aside to let the new guys shine, and these same guys kill can't stroke it fast enough when they hear some washed up has been is coming back for a short term deal. Exactly what will that do? Will it actually better the company?
if he does wrestle, and thats a huge if, and he wins a belt, or something then what? Once his deal is done what do they do with the belt? or maybe he gets a belt and simpley walks off with it to TNA this time rather than telling anyone what his plans are. now THAT would be frigging awesome. A perfect screw you to Mcmah9on for that bullshit in Toronto. Hart goes in sets Vince up, gets a belt and the next week he is on TNA show holding the belt and going off on Vince, and then they set the thing on fire or throw it into a glass furnace so we can watch it melt. That would be the show of the century, and one everyone could appreciate because it would actually be based on something that happened in real life and not written up by some hack.
So I am sort of hoping he comes back and he does have a plan in the back of his mind to screw Vince.Because if it did happen that way it would be better than any writer could ever come up with.

As much as I would love to see Bret, Vince needs to know that there are people out there who DON'T kiss his ass, and by staying away from WWE Bret has accomplished this. You hear that Vince? There are some people who are above your dirty money and have some pride.
Posted By: Anthony (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 11:56 PM
Oh please be true,Bret Hart craps all over Hogan.......
Hart vs Mcmahon at mania.......Mcmahon gets put in the sharpshooter and taps out.....
Posted By: Bret craps on hogan (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 11:57 PM
I can't believe no one has said this. Guest Host has the power to do anything. Can anyone say main event Hart Dynasty vs. DX Unified Tag Titles. Oh and the best part special Guest referee BRET HART
Posted By: phildecapito (Registered) on December 16, 2009 at 11:59 PM
if so then that means vince is starting to notice and respond to tna's precence and forcing the to play the grand 1up game i cant remember the last time things have been this exciting
Posted By: dolla316 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:01 AM
Even uber-Bret fan Scott Keith has stated Bret should just do an angle getting at Vince to get it out of his system, let Montreal go and move on with his life. Would be good.
Posted By: M A Weyer (Registered) on December 17, 2009 at 12:22 AM
They've teased it for so many years that this could be a big deal, and I'd bet ratings would definately shoot up. TNA doesn't have a prayer if this is right.
Posted By: Doc (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:24 AM
Hart/HBK Wrestlemania after Brett manages the Hart Dynasty over DX for the tag tittles. Possibly a triple threat with Taker involved.
Posted By: Screw Job (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:34 AM
Even before this possible news about Bret surfaced, the WWE didn't have to worry about me watching TNA, I can't stand the over rated Hulk Hogan. But with the possibility of seeing Bret again? I'm in for sure!
Posted By: AdamRock (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:38 AM
Damn....I'll be using my DVR for TNA now. i just saw this on a news report in Toronto.
Posted By: Guest#1103 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:39 AM
yes! He's coming back. I don't want to see him wrestling though too much risk.
Posted By: Guest#9874 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:42 AM
The mark in me says +1 to DX vs Hart Dynasty with Bret in their corner, Bret has his way with Shawn post-match etc etc, pure awesomeness.
But the smark in me says as much as I want to believe it, I just can't until I read it from the man himself. Sorry.
Posted By: Benneh (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:46 AM
Look at it from this point if he returns for 4 months it means: We get the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be back in a wwf ring notice the F it was intentional. now if he were to wrestle I could see Bret vs Vince as the only possible match only because I feel in real life Bret Hart can't stand Hbk even though he's found the light. I've also heard a rumor about Kurt Angle possibly looking into signing on with wwe again which would be epic. Bret Hard vs Kurt angle Canada vs America would reeek of awesomeness but wouldn't make much sense. If I could choose his opponent for wrestlemania if this is true and he's gonna wrestle it would be
5. Kurk angel
4. Shawn Michaels
3. The undertaker
2. Vince Mcmahon
1. Stone Cold Steve Austin
Posted By: Chewb (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:48 AM
wait a minute...why is everyone so excited...I thought it was pretty much an impossibility for Bret to ever be able to wrestles again after his concussion and stroke, its not like he can actually wrestle again can he?
Posted By: ras trent (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 01:01 AM
If Bret Hart really is coming back for "one more tour" in the WWE, no matter how long or short, then I believe the best possible scenario for him, WWE and wrestling fans in general, would be Bret & the Hart Dynasty V Vince & DX...with the unified tag belts on the line.
This way, Bret can get both HBK and Vince in one match. And in a six-man tag, Bret doesn't really have to "wrestle." He can come in, slap someone, and get out. This protects him from actual, potentially deadly bumping/injuries.
Of course, he'd have to come back in and put Michaels in a sharpshooter and have Michaels tap. That has to be the ending or his return doesn't much matter, does it?
Posted By: Crow21 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 01:22 AM
you gotta put him with Hart Dynasty in a feud against dx, I was so annoyed during their tag match a few months back there was no mention of brets feud with shawn. wrestlemania 26 Hart Dynasty and Bret V.S DX and Vince, that way Smith and Kidd do the work and Bret gets the pop at end when Sharpshooter on Vince.
Posted By: triggs (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 01:31 AM
Bret is a wash out- why would anyone want that fool back, hes pissed and moaned for years - leave the loser to writing mediocre books.
Posted By: Guest#2813 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 01:40 AM
If they could get Bret to Host Raw they would destroy any hopes Hogan had of beating Vince in the Ratings.
Hogan your done Buddy.
Not to mention that fans would kill to see Bret back in the WWE even if it was just for one night only.
Posted By: 4EverFNM (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 02:37 AM
Bret plz come back, yeah u might be old, but hey, if Flair is still roaming around, just like Shawn, why not bret. nobody expects bret to be in wrestling shape, but it wouldn't hurt if he is. Long live the best there is and ever was..Bret rules
Posted By: REBEL (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 02:57 AM
Bret still gets big pops with the just the mention of his name and without a doubt people would kill to see Bret in the WWE even if it is for one night only.
Hogan you had a good run in the 80's and 90's but its now time for the new crop of talent your a broken record that everyone is sick of hearing TNA sucks and so do you.
Posted By: 4EverFNM (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 03:11 AM
If he does come back, he HAS to feud with Shawn. Have Bret be the permanent GM of Raw and make HBK's life a living hell all the way up til Wrestlemania.HHH turns on HBK, aligns with Bret and challenges HBK at Wrestlemania and on that night, when Bret is about to get his final revenge on Shawn, HBK overcomes him and HHH and wins the match, leaving Bret still bitter and angry. Simple.

As much as I love Bret, I think it would be a flop. He struggles to string sentences together when you see him in interviews. I fear it would be a complete embarrassment, ending with some oh-so-unique Montreal rehash, as usual.
Posted By: Guest#0749 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 03:51 AM
Yes, it's true. Bret will return to WWE, but if you hope that TNA get's buried then you surley don't think what's good for the wrestling world. Let's hope 2010 will be the beginning of a new wrestling aera. And for Hogan, I hope he will give us what we want, and so truley need, a monday night battle!!
Posted By: Kurt (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 04:24 AM
This would all make sense though, i mean the Bret/Mchaman/HBK rivalry will kill TNA in ratings. And also shape up one of the greatest Wrestlemania matches ever. Which WWE needs. UFC is having a huge PPV day before wrestlemania

Please PLEASE, let this happen.
The reason this is different from most other returns is the fact hes been gone for so long, the promos he could cut on Vince & HBK would be intense.
I really think this will be an awesome return.
Posted By: jbardo (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 05:18 AM
I skipped through most of Raw like I always do. What was the deal with the name drop? Who dropped his name on Raw???
Posted By: Steve (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 06:04 AM
IF this is really true...
Imagine the build they could do for a Mania match between Vince and Bret.
Imagine the reaction it would get from the IWC.
Imagine the heat when Bret would make Vince tap like a little b***h from the Sharpshooter.
Posted By: woody (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 06:18 AM
No chance in hell ;)
He wouldn't even make an appearance at WM after being inducted into the Hall of Fame. I have no interest in seeing him take the spotlight right now.
Posted By: TPR (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 07:44 AM
This would be awesome but wouldn't this only appeal to IWC fans. The new generation of casual fans have no clue who Bret Hart is.

DX VS Bret Hart & The Rock WM 26?
What u think?
Posted By: Guest#3807 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 09:18 AM
After his stroke, I'd be quite surprised if we ever saw Bret Hart wrestle again.
Posted By: Stanley (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 09:47 AM
"So lets see...prospective WM 26 headliners include HBK, Undertaker, Bret Hart and Vince McMahon...
1997 called, it wants its PPV card back."
Well, it can't have it back because that's a pretty good card. Also, 1997 RULED. So the more of it, the merrier.
As for this news...words can't describe. I, uh...I'm just speechless (take a picture, it doesn't happen often). He's not going to wrestle though, for those of you getting your hopes up. Maaaaaaaybe against Vince in a "sportz entertainment" match where he doesn't have to bump, but certainly not against HBK or anyone else on the active roster.
I can actually see him backing Shawn in a feud against Hunter and Vince. Sort of a "bury the hatchet" deal with Shawn, which is something he desperately needs for the sake of his mental health and stability.
Posted By: Guest#3296 (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 10:14 AM
I hope he doesn't coem back. Stay true to your word!
Posted By: Hansi (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 10:38 AM
I doubt this is in retaliation to TNA. The seeds for Bret's return were set way back on the RAW hosted by Roddy Piper. TNA just happened to schedule their Monday night special on the same night as Bret Hart's re-debut.
And for the guys saying Hart going to TNA would be viewed differently--you're right. TNA never screwed Bret. Bret's never held real life animosity with TNA. Bret has held a hatred towards Vince and Shawn for years. Him turning up in a WWE ring is so much bigger than him doing anything in wrestling for that fact.
And nobody expect him to wrestle HBK, or anything like that. Bret can't bump very much due to his injuries/stroke. I'd suspect the most they could do is an overbooked garbage match between him and McMahon where Vince does the majority of the bumping. That still could be fun, very reminiscent of McMahon/Hogan from WMXIX.
Posted By: Anonymous (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 11:21 AM
This could be great, but I have no faith in current creative to handle this well.

Bret & Jericho vs DX at Mania that's my match
Posted By: jcmmnx (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 11:44 AM
I never comment on here but this story and the subsequent comments have me thinking about a few things:
1) Bret and the Hart Dynasty VS DX and Mr McMahon in a 6 Man Street Fight is the only match (if there's going to be one) that makes any sense. Having a 6 man all out melee allows Bret to some fun damage without having to actually wrestle given that he's a recovering stroke victim and probably is no shape for an actual match. Then he gets to beat up on all three guys that he has a problem (he's not fond of HHH either if you'll remember). If the writers/agents have any sense at all the match ends with HD + Bret putting all three in a sharpshooter. There will be much rejoicing and nobody has to get screwed.
2) People on this site should stop whining about the lack of blood or PG content. The WWE is a business and kids buy more crap than adults. The show will always be meant to appeal to kids...it did when we were that age and the adults around us thought it as nonsense too. That being said, while I think bringing Bret in will make for some entertaining TV, it's not going to change the overall theme of the show, which is geared and will always be geared toward kids. The sudden appearance of Bret Hart is not going to bring back blood and guts...those days are gone because the WWE doesn't want to be responsible for anymore bodies on its watch.
3) TNA can move to Monday's all it wants, by virtue of that it does not mean we're back to a Monday Night War. Look at the history, Nitro was on Monday's well before WWE bothered to take them seriously. When Bischoff started saying his motivation was to put McMahon out of business and his family in the street, and started giving away Raw match results, that's when it got personal and became a "War". The NWO stuff added to the pile of personal transgressions against McMahon and the WWE (insuating there was an invasion and making money off of said insuation). Now, if Carter and Hogan start in with that nonsense and say that there main motivation is to put the WWE out of business, then yes MNW II is on and I for one will just roll my eyes. Otherwise, it's just another show on Monday nights. Some will watch, some won't. Sometimes I watch Raw, sometiems I watch the Big Bang Theory but I wouldn't say Raw is at war them because they share a timeslot. MNW was a personal thing, to date, things are not personal with TNA.

How many times have we heard rumors Bret Hart is returning before?
While I'd obviously welcome Bret back with open arms, I won't get my hopes up. I'll believe it when I see it.
Posted By: onephatdude (Guest) on December 17, 2009 at 12:24 PM
The dude's old as dirt and no one cares about him anymore.
Good luck getting a bunch of 9 year olds to care about this grampa.
He's probably hurting for money and Vince knows just about anyone is better than the shit guests he's been having (Mini Me, Dennis Miller).
Either way, all you homos will be back here to bitch about how "they screwed it up" the day after he returns. Oh, and the Hart Dynasty sucks.
Posted By: Foolio (Registered) on December 17, 2009 at 12:51 PM
"don't know exactly how they would use him for 4 months up to now (Smackdown GM helping to get Hart Dynasty over?) but just the sheer freaking visual impact of seeing Bret back in a WWE ring and the possible tensions between Hart/HBK/Mcmahon (onscreen or real) would be sensational viewing!!
Posted By: MrTheD (Guest) on December 16, 2009 at 07:41 PM"
Bret interferes in a Hart Dynasty/DX match and costs them the Tag belts. Then he pust a restraining order on HBK and HHH so they can't come within, say 20 feet (or for wresling purposes, whatever the width of the ring is so he can be on one side and HBK on the other.)This way he can interact with them without getting physically involved.

Im sorry, but if Bret comes back to feud with HBK or McMahon, he is a sell out.
Posted By: Guest#0904 (Guest)
How is he a sell out? You want him to be bitter his entire life? It's time for him to move on and put it behind him, this is a great opportunity for Bret to do that. Also wrestling isn't real you moron, it's a business so let Bret make some mother fucking money. It's like when morons call Flair a sell out because he came back after his retirement match, it's not a real fucking sport and he has to pay his ex-bitches.
