More Various News: Foley in Las Vegas, Christian on Smackdown Shows, More
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 02.07.2010

--Mick Foley was in Las Vegas last night for the Total Xtreme Comedy show the Hilton along with Bruce Prichard. Colt Cabana was meant to attend but was snowed in in Philadelphia. Mick Foley went on to UFC afterwards.

- As we reported earlier in the week, all mention of ECW has been removed from the WWE schedule after February 22. However, Christian is being advertised on Smackdown house shows after that date.

- On Bret Hart's Facebook page he mentions that his whole family has tickets booked to see Stu Hart inducted into the Hall of Fame.

- Lance Storm's new blog talks about retirement from wrestling here.

There's only one thing about Christian... Card Subject To Change. Obviously, everyone's hoping he ends up on SD due to the connections with Edge and Jericho. And at the very least, if they forget about him he can team with Matt Hardy and feud with Punk & Gallows.

This whole WWE NXT thing has got to have several veterans wondering where they'll end up. I suppose guys like Goldust, Hurricane, Burchill, Shelton and Regal are thankful for Superstars right about now. Either that, or the chopping block is going to be full.

The only thing I hope the 'E' doesn't do with this new brand is pack it full of unprepared FCW guys who stink up the joint. Might be interesting to see how long it is before the WWE Universe is calling for the return of ECW if that ends up the case.

WWE NXT should have a mix of the solid go-to vets like Shelton and Regal who can be in the NXT main event scene while centering the show around the younger guys like Danielson and Low-Ki.

NXT is just ECW with a different name and logo. That's the only difference I see, outside of calling up more youngsters probably. SyFy apprantly thinks the name ECW is why the ratings were low.

Interesting article from Storm. I know even for the guys who aren't broke or on drugs that stepping away from the ring is hard because it's both an adrenaline rush and all they know. I've heard a few wrestlers describe it like a drug that they are hooked to.

It hasn't happened for any other ECW champs yet has it? (and BigShow don't count since was main eventing before he went to ECW)
