Bubba the Love Sponge Addresses The Kong Situation
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 02.25.2010
He's not happy...
On his radio show today, Bubba the Love Sponge had plenty to say about the Awesome Kong situation. Some highlights:
- The call to Kong did not come from his radio show, and he has witnesses to cover his whereabouts. He also mentioned possible recorded footage of him being elsewhere.
- He didn't press charges after the incident because he wanted to get it all over with, but he is now exploring his legal options.
- He is done with TNA .
- He feels they didn't handle the situation the right way.
- He is considering suing TNA, despite his friend Hulk Hogan being involved in the company.
- He will not take any calls to his show on the subject, and any further comment from him will be through his attorney.
- He found out about the suit through "the sheets".
- He said the suit is based on hearsay, there is no proof, and AT&T can go ahead and release the number because it isn't his.
- He is concerned that the allegations could hurt his radio career.

what radio career?

What a piece of trash...I dig TNA but this was an awful move (hiring Bubba). He brings nothing to the table and no one cares, yet he stirs up controversy and sues.
Did they think Bubba=ratings?

It is my duty to remind you all that:

he is done with tna.....
some one should have sued his ass from the beginning, bubba is the biggest piece of shit ever and he sucked as a backstage guy in TNA thank god he's gone, now if only we could axe the nasty boyz, jimmy hart, sean morley, the four sided ring, hogan, and bischoff's ability to misjudge talent (british invasion, eric young, daniels, ect...)

"He is concerned that the allegations could hurt his radio career."
Hahaha. I would have thought SUCKING BEYOND BELIEF was enough to hurt your radio career.

Great. One down, fifty more people who don't belong in the company to go.
Posted By: Guest#9060 (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 08:08 PM
Part of me thinks it would be rather unjust and unfortunate for the guy to lose his job over this business with Kong. Anyone could have made that phone call, and I've been presented with no reason/evidence as of yet to indicate that BTLS was involved.
The other part of me rememembers the Haiti comment, and would like to see him lose his job.
Posted By: Guest#5850 (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 08:14 PM
Lets hope it really is the end of him having anything to do with TNA.
Posted By: Jas (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 08:15 PM
Wait, "career"?
Posted By: Hairius Maximus (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 08:15 PM
Bubba:
You Fat Stupid F*CK! The ONLY Attention you have gotten is because of riding Hogan's/TNA's coat-tails. Otherwise you are a used up cheap Stern Ripoff Wannabe. Die & Rot scumbag !!!

A guy named BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE is worried about this hurting his radio career?
Posted By: Jed (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 08:51 PM
Go ahead and sue TNA, dipshit. YOU didn't press charges. They punished Kong and at this point in court it would be "he said, she said" with seriously conflicting testimonies.
Welcome to the wrestling business. You wanted to be a mark and make some money hanging out with your buddy Hogan. The fans didn't like you and worst a lot of the wrestlers didn't like you. Just stay out of the business as it can be a beast and for fuck's sake... keep your legal matters private unless you want to end up looking even more like a publicity whore starving for a taste of headlines. Plus, you were pwned by a woman. Who wants to bring that up on their own free will?
Posted By: Jimmy (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 08:51 PM
I'm sorry but fuck Bubba the Love Sponge. Karma.

And there was much rejoicing...
Posted By: Guest#8534 (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:14 PM
Thank god he's done with TNA.
And worried that the allegations could hurt his radio career? Won't do any more harm then every time he opens his mouth.
Posted By: August (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:21 PM
Bubba is done with TNA? Cool, now they just have to get rid of Mr. Anderson, the Nasty Boys, OJ, The Band, Eric Bischoff, Russo/Ferrera and Hogan.
Posted By: JAK (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:24 PM
Bubba gone from TNA? My heart is broken.

Is he also concerned that he's a fat stupid jackass? He should be.
Posted By: Guest#0560 (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:53 PM
Fuck you Bubba, if you weren't friends with Hogan you'd be licking the toilet rims in your radio station
Posted By: Bill (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:58 PM
You suckin sack is what hurts your garbage radio career.....This Howard wannbe sucks and needs to get out of the wrestling section of this website because he was a big waste of time. By the way, bullshit on him suing hogan he is so far up hogans ass he wouldn't dare file a lawsuit and ruin his bromance....dude sucks glad he is gone now shut up bozo
Posted By: Jay (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:58 PM
Fuck Bubba. Hes a shitty Howard Stern imposter, and the less we hear about him the better.

I can die happy now
Posted By: TNA=1.6 (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 10:15 PM
That fat arrogent turd had no right to be at the shows. He sucks as a backstage man, the radio "show" blows, and he is a Howard Stern wanna be.(I don't like Stern either, but he took the time to acknowledge the disaster in Haiti and didn't say f**k Haiti). TNA should have brought him back so we couldve seen Kong kill a "radio personality" dead. If only for a week...I'd love to see Kong Implant Buster him into a home for poeple who have suffered from severe brain damage.
Posted By: InDaBiz (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 10:21 PM
Don't let the door hit you on your fat fucking ass on the way out, Bubba.
Remember....Chicago? Remember when the Bubba Army couldn't get good enough ratings and had to book out of town because he was FIRED????
Congratulations - you just made TNA 100% better by NOT BEING THERE.
Posted By: Guest#2378 (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 10:27 PM
Kong, do it for everyone. Kill this bitch dead, please!

She need to get on his ass again for calling her a bitch
Posted By: Guest#6333 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 01:36 AM
So every every cloud has a silver lining. If he is truly "done with TNA" then THANK YOU Kong.
Clearly, despite the storm Kong kicked up, TNA probably sees her as too valuable to drop whereas this piece of useless, no-talent shit can fuck off back to his 3rd rate, poor man's Wendy Williams act on the radio.
Posted By: Guest#8484 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 03:26 AM
Audience research shows that 63% of Bubba's listeners tuning in hoping to catch him having a burger-induced heart attack live on air.
The remaining 37% hope it's stroke.
Posted By: Guest#5763 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 07:46 AM
Kong Kills Careers dead...Oh wait, you don't have a career!
You no talent hack. Hope you end up on the streets begging for cash. Fuck off. Kong Rules!
Posted By: Damn (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 07:49 AM
Even if he did press charges against Kong no judge in light of what happened and anyone that testifies would hold Kong in jail. The company took it upon themselves all be it a short suspension but she was sent home most likely not recieving pay for that. She even went as far as asking for her release. He went on air apologizing well in his way apologizing for his remarks in essence admitting that it was inflamatory. Pressing charges now wouldn't do him any good.
As for his show.....keep a better eye on your employees Bubba. They might be able to account for your where abouts but have you looked to see if anyone associated with you made that call.
His TNA career? as much as I haven't been a fan of everyone associated with the Hogan Australia tour now having a job in TNA.....I will gladly take all of them versus keeping that fool on air in TNA.
Posted By: Guest#3714 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 08:15 AM
indeed kong does kill bitches dead and we love her for it!
Posted By: vijayB5 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 08:16 AM
Like him or not you idiots, being paid large sums of money over the last 20+ years is a career.
Him being done with TNA is still fine with me.
Posted By: If I could be serious (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 08:27 AM
Bubba is done with TNA? Cool, now they just have to get rid of Mr. Anderson, the Nasty Boys, OJ, The Band, Eric Bischoff, Russo/Ferrera and Hogan.
Posted By: JAK (Guest) on February 25, 2010 at 09:24 PM
Hey, now c'mon. Anderson isn't that bad. Hogan draws people in, Bischoff is the only man to be able to take down Vince (for awhile), but the rest for sure, got to get the hell out of TNA. They are wastes of spaces for more suitable talents.
Posted By: Guest#6870 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 08:38 AM
GOOD! That is what we wanted anyway! Now we need to get bubba the assclown off of the airwaves!
Posted By: Dark Raven (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 10:58 AM
"He is done with TNA"
...and nothing of value was lost.
Posted By: Impact Zone Audience (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 11:10 AM
He's worried about his reputation after getting fired for castrating a live pig during his FORMER so called radio show.If hogan want's to increase tna's rating's put bubba in the ring with kong he deserve's to have his ass handed to him.
Posted By: guest (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 12:25 PM
Does this mean we can stop seeing the Hogan plant/mark/douche that holds up the "Bubba Army," "4 sides 4 life," "shut up nerds" and other pathetic signs on Impact?
Posted By: btlsblows (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 12:26 PM
You're past the point of no return, it's time to officially invent yourself as Bubba the Cum Rag.
Posted By: poffo316 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 12:29 PM
I'm sure the slaughtering of pigs on your radio show had nothing to do with your career getting damaged... No, it was Awesome Kong, a relatively unknown female wrestler.
Posted By: MAniac (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 01:49 PM
Lol at how he tries to be a controversial shock jock and then backpedals when the shit hits the fan and he has to own up to his behavior.
I'm honestly not sure if it truly was him calling Kong but she definetly has a point. Seems everybody's sue-hapy in this situaion.
I think what happened is TNA let Hogan and him run too wild and didn't clamp down on the siuation. As usual, neither they nor Dixie have anything to say. It's like WCW with the inmates running the asulym.
Well, at least we got one good thing out this situation; Bubba is no longer in TNa. Thank God, he was only on for like 2 episodes and stunk up my TV.
Posted By: Guest#2872 (Guest) on February 26, 2010 at 02:11 PM
