Either the tag match or Punk-Mysterio will be the opener. Either would be a great match.

BEST LOOKING WRESTLEMANIA CARD IN YEARS!!
IT'S GOING TO BE ONE OF THE GREATEST WRESTLEMANIA'S OF ALL TIME...
Kofi Kingston will definitely be the 10th and final participant in the MITB match, and I expect Orton's match and a Divas Match to be added to this card and it's going to be an amazing WM...can't wait!!

Will Bret actually be wrestling Vince? Or will this be a tag match with partners added soon? I'm a former hardcore fan who hasn't watched wrestling in a long time, but this Bret-Vince feud has me interested so i'm dying to know. Thanks

As for the musical act at Wrestlemania, some of my friends and I play together on weekends at local bars. We're called Pretty Young and we mostly cover popular 70's and 80's rock songs. I play a killer bass guitar but I refer to my bandmates as Herc, Jimmy, and Paul so that should tell you something about where most of the talent lies in our band. Get ahold of me if you're interested Vince

It feels weird that Bret Fucking Hart is on the card and it's possibly the match I'm least excited to see. Damn good card, I hope Punk and Mysterio gets a little bit of time, the segment with Rey's family was great build up.

I am overjoyed. I cannot put into words my elation towards this event. It shall be a monumental night, the likes of which never seen before. It will be a festival of spectacle. I think we should all do our duty and inform the world at large as to what is going to transpire at WrestleMania 26.
I shall ride my stallions, harder than ever, to the mountain top to scream to the world "Order WrestleMania 26 on Pay-Per-View." I shall expose myself for all to see how I feel. You won't be able to turn away from me as it will be a rush of powerful feelings.

Probably be rounded out by the Orton/Legacy match and a divas piss break match before the main event.
No Kofi?
Posted By: Guest#2265 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 12:55 AM
Unbelieveable, the event has NOT happened yet and people are already OVERRATING IT TO DEATH.
The most ridiculous statement being that "X-17" has its first "real challenger"....
EXCUSE ME ?
X-17 was HUGE because it had tremendous star power on the card from Austin to Benoit To Angle to The Rock to Eddie.....Names that are badly missing on Mania 26 card for various reasons.
When you look at the names at Mania 19 :
Angle/Lesnar/Austin/Rocky/Hogan, again Mania 26 can't fight with that.
Let's get serious, this is probably a good mania on paper but when you know that Bret Hart can barely take a bump, it's not that great anymore.
Nine men in the ring at the same time with ladders ?
Sounds a little too much really.
Time will tell if it's good or not but I surely won't pay a single buck for it when you can watch it for FREE on the web.

I predict on raw that after vince signs his contract Bret will take off his cast and tell him it was all a hoax so he would wrestle him and I think Austin will be the guest referee at WM.

does the MITB match usually have 9 participants?
Posted By: Guest#6620 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 01:30 AM
What was so great about WM X7 again? Besides Rock vs. Austin, TLC 2, and Trips vs. Taker, the card sucked! Benoit vs. Angle had they been given the proper time would have stole the show, but we just had to make room 4 Vince/Shane, Women's title, and that God Awful Gimmick Battle Royal!
Posted By: yankeeman (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 02:01 AM
holy crap. that is solid
For Great "wrestling" matches infront of over 70,000 fans.
Undertaker vs. Shawn
CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
Chris Jericho vs. Edge
Yes, Yes, and Yes. That is full of win there. Oh Man that is good!
Add in a 9 man ladder match, as well as interesting storylines with Bret vs. Vince and Cena vs. Batista, and you've got a card a lot of people are going to want to see.

This is the best Mania card top to bottom since X-7 but I dont like the Mcintyre angle. Mcintyre solid in ring but I dont like how he being stuff down our throats.
Posted By: Guest#9697 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 02:50 AM
I still think they are going to merge Orton-Legacy in with HHH-Sheamus and the IWC is going to howl over this one.
Posted By: VIPER (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 03:44 AM
they've still got orton's match with legacy (anybody see them teaming him with kofi to even things up?) and a divas match to fit on.
so i'm actually kind of worried wwe will do their usual and drop one of the billed matches down to the preshow because the cards too stacked. i'm looking at you unified tag title match!

I've been to WM the past 3 years and I was going to skip this year because of how dissapointed i was last year but i changed my mind last second because Bret Hart is on the card.
He may not be in his glory but he is my all time fav wrestler and I never got to see him wrestle live....that was my selling point... but i am so stoked to see that the rest of the card looks awesome!

Did they REALLY have to put MVP in the ladder match? I'm sorry, but that dude is just so "blah"...I know, I know, he's got his fanbase but he has just never done anything that stands out to me.
On the other hand, with Shelton and Evan in it you can bet that there will be some "holy shit" moments from those two...should be awesome.
Man, this WM is gonna fucking ROCK. So far no Diva match which is another good thing...but hey, if they add one at least it'll be a good chance for a piss break.

Freakin Awesome card so Far..X7 quality on paper...
As for Kofi, he has two options right now. I expect him in the MiTB match, but since they are trowing out Orton v Legacy on Raw, he could end op a tag partner for Orton come Mania. That would be pretty awesome considering the history only a few months back. So don't worry kiddos, Kofi will be on the card.
To my knowledge, the IC title is on the line in the MiTB match. Winner take all kind of deal. Should still see a divas match yet added as well. Great F'n Card!
Posted By: Skiddy (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 08:55 AM
Once again the IC and US title are shit on the biggest ppv of the year due to the mitb and tag team title match. Why not just get rid of them if they have no heat on any contender for them? Drew sucks as a heel and had little heat after he won it from morrison. The miz is awesome on the mic and has done well since winning the us title.

people stop overratin wm17! is fantastic but not the best, i think this is on paper going to be the best mania ever. It seems the wwe is pulling out all the stops with arguably the biggest match in years between cena and batista, and the rematch of rematches between taker and hbk. Its going to be hbks last match so expect the best performances he can give
Posted By: EdgeHead210 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM

Because WWE has once again nerfed a goog angle so bad that nobody even cares about Legacy anymore.
Seriously, and can anyone explain who is on who's side with Legacy? It's been so confusing and horrible that it's best to not even book that garbage and accidently taint WrestleMania.
Posted By: Guest#7526 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 01:17 PM
Now just add three more matches. Eve vs Maryse for the Divas title, Tiffany Mickey James and Beth Pheniox vs Michelle Layla and Vickey in a six diva tag match, and Kofi added in a single or tag match with anyone, and we will be good to go.
In case anybody is wondering why those matches, here's why. Eve has been on a roll lately, and has a pin fall victory against Maryse. If she didn't impress you against Michelle in her debut match, then what will it take for all of you to be impressed with her wrestling abality.
Sooner or later Mickey, Beth, and Tiffany needs to shut Vickey, Michelle, and Layla up for good. And what a better event to do that, which is WrestleMaina.
And since Kofi had an great 2009 year, he needs to be in a Wrestlemaina match.
Posted By: oh great (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 02:09 PM
I like this card, really like it, but I think most people are generally just so hyped because of how shit last year was.
In reality, this on paper is no better than any of the last 10 wrestlemanias, other than last year ofcourse.
Does it have a Rock v Hogan - no.
WM19 has far more star power than 26, and delivered quality which will be hard to match
WMXX also had a tonne of star power, do expect 26 to be better
WM21 was phenomenal - 26 doesn't have a "wrestling match" to rival HBK v Angle.
WM22 - Cena V HHH then is arguably bigger than Cena v Batista is now
WM23 - Cena/HBK and Taker/Batista - oh look WM26 has this the other way about.... yawn
WM24 - just as solid as 26, can be no question of that
..................
So in summary, 26 will be great, but stop pissing on all the other wrestlemanias which have likewise been great
Posted By: Guest#9736 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 02:20 PM
just add kofi into the mitb, change hhh vs sheamus, into hhh/orton vs sheamus and legacy, and you got yourself a winning card.

Posted By: Jordan (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 03:15 PM
guys come on; WM17 was amazing but the best Ever is Wrestlemania 3 or 6.
Posted By: sp1 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 05:24 PM
Easily the strongest looking Mania on paper ever. Whether it delivers or not will be found out on the night of the show, but this card is definitely going to get them a significant buyrate.
Every single one of those matches has the ability to be great (Even the Tag Title match) and I've loved the road we're taking to get there.
I personally think X7 is overrated by a lot, and it's probably not even in my top 3 manias of all time. This has the chance to leave every single Mania in it's dust as the #1 of all time.
Let's hope it lives up to the potential.
Posted By: All Around Wrestling Fan (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 05:51 PM
To the people asking about why Kofi isn't in the MITB match, wait until Raw Monday Night. There will be one more qualifying match and it will be a 10 man match and it just might be Kofi.
Posted By: Guest#4988 (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 06:27 PM
I, too, think 17 is overrated. Compare 17-19 and pound for pound which is better:
Wrestlemania 17 Card
1. Intercontinental Championship
Chris Jericho (C) vs. William Regal
2. Six Man Tag Match
Tazz & APA vs. RTC
3. Hardcore Championship
Kane vs. Raven (C) vs. Big Show
4. European Championship
Test (C) vs. Eddie Guerrero
5. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit
6. Women's Championship
Chyna vs. Ivory (C)
7. Street Fight
Shane McMahon vs. Vince McMahon
8. The Hardyz vs. The Dudleys (C) vs. Edge & Christian
9. Gimmick Battle Royal
10. Undertaker vs. Triple H
11.WWF Championship
The Rock (C) vs. Stone Cold
Wrestlemania 19
WWE Championship Match
9. Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar
8. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock
7. Hulk Hogan vs. Mr. McMahon
6.Triple H vs. Booker T
5. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
4.Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs Eddie Guerrero & Chavo Guerrero vs Chris Benoit & Rhyno
3. Victoria with Steven Richards vs. Trish Stratus vs. Jazz
2. Undertaker & Nathan Jones vs. Big Show & A-Train
1.Matt Hardy "V1" with Shannon Moore vs. Rey Mysterio
Right To Center in two matches.
Posted By: y_isaac (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 09:14 PM
where did all these idiots pop up saying wm17 is overrated, some people need to get schooled agen.
Posted By: gooched (Guest) on March 13, 2010 at 11:01 PM
The reason 17 is considered the best by so many people is not just the great matches, but the stories and everything surrounding the night, and the historical significance of the show. It truly was the Apex of the Attitude era. Plus, Rock vs Stone Cold. No WrestleMania since has produced a Main Event of that significant Star power. And they probably won't in the near future unless they learn how to build someone that the fans can truly get behind.
I think a lot also has to do with the fact that at the time, it had been a long while since the WWE had an event in a big dome stadium. So you had all of this anticipation that this truly was big. But to me it comes down to the Main Event. Rock vs Stone Cold. WrestleMania XXVI could be a great WrestleMania, but it has no chance really of being truly historic. The last few WrestleMania's have just run together. Most excellent wrestling shows, but 15-20 years from now, they won't be viewed as historically significant.
Posted By: gwpbrian (Guest) on March 14, 2010 at 12:01 AM
Most overrated Mania ever. And it hasn't even happened yet.
Batista v Cena: good, but their encounter at Summerslam 2008 was good too. IE good, not great.
Edge v Jericho: Has Edge ever had a truly great match. Jericho will need to work miracles to get a five star out of him.
HBK v Taker: Massive question marks over Taker's health. There's no one like HBK. Like Jericho, Michaels is going to probably have to work a miracle.
Bret v Vince: Another good match. But it'll be no different than Vince's matches with Shane, Hogan and HBK.
And the rest of the card speaks for itself.
It's a massive reflection of the current standard of wrestling that when WWE puts together a solid card, everyone goes overboard calling it the best ever before it's even happened.
Posted By: Guest#3538 (Guest) on March 14, 2010 at 12:21 AM
There's not one guaranteed five star match on this card, yet people are calling it potentially one of the best ever? Baffling.

Posted By: bruiserbrody (Guest) on March 12, 2010 at 11:35 PM
I completely agree. Nonetheless, the card does look excellent and I fully expect HBK-Taker to steal the show. I don't think it should headline though because you have to have one of your main titles headlining. I'm expecting Cena and Batista to close it out.
