once again, Lance Storm speaks with logic and reasoning. Good column.

I enjoyed reading Storms thoughts on TNA, classic stuff.

"The analogy I like best is looking at this Monday Night situation as: Canada declaring war on the USA, with Canada deciding to lead the charge with mainly veteran soldiers from WWII, because none of the current soldiers in the Military have big war experience."
I heart Lance Storm.

I completely agree with everything Lance Storm wrote. That was a great column.

Prince did a great job of putting over the product. he stated that if you aren't hip to wrestling you need to be.

Storm is such a moron. his moan about stings turn completely contradicts Hogans nWo turn if anyone remembers that far back.
good guy comes out to save good guys who are being beat up - he turns heel and joins in.
It worked amazingly well back then but of course lance stupid shit storm has no idea.
Maybe he should spend more time with his kids explaining why daddy never made it big and why he has no money than posting on a blog.

Storm mentions the possibility of Austin guest reffing Hart v. McMahon...if that happens, I go from somehow not caring about this match to making it a top priority to see.
Posted By: Jason (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 02:32 PM
Storm is exactly right about the RVD appearance on TNA. Probably the worst "surprise appearance" by a star I've ever seen.
Posted By: Guest#2630 (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 02:37 PM
And once again, Lance Storm is 100% right. And now watch all the butthurt TNA Nuthuggers come out and bash Lance for bashing "God's gift to Wrestling" that is TNA despite the fact that he also had his fair share of criticism for Raw as well.

No, the difference there is Hogan had been getting booed before he took time off. The NWO was having a six-man tag match against WCW, but the match had only been Flair, Luger, and Savage vs Hall & Nash... the 3rd NWO member hadn't come out. So Hogan coming how was revealing who the third member, it actually did make sense.
But, I guess I was actually watching wrestling back then to remember that.
Lance Storm is on the money, as always. I wish he had time to write more reviews, but I can imagine he doesn't want to raise his blood pressure that much.

Looks like someones bitter he hasnt received a phone call. TNA is hiring x-ECW,WCW AND WWE talent all of which, storm is yet theres a reason your not getting the call. were more likely to see justin credible in tna than we are storm..

Dude, the difference is that WCW actually BUILT the storyline for a Hogan heel turn with the "Who's the third man" gimmick for weeks!
TNA on the other hand turned Sting heel out of nowhere and for no logical reason to advance a storyline. Thus, you sir a the moron and should learn your wrestling history and logic a little better before spouting off.
Posted By: Brad (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 03:02 PM
To the idiot who can't even spell "shut up" properly. Even if it WAS the same as Hogan's turn - which it isn't as there was no build up to this Sting turn so it meant nothing - it'd still be a rehash of an ancient storyline.
Storm made a huge amount of sense in that article, and if you can't see that then there's no hope for you.
As for the cracks about no money etc. If that was the case, he'd be doing as Flair does and still wrestling a full schedule. He has stated many times how frugal he's been with his money over the years, as well as running his own wrestling school.
So what have we learned? Idiots that haven't a clue what they're talking about, and can't spell for shit, think that a former wrestler knows nothing about the business he worked in for over 10 years. Priceless!
Posted By: dennett316 (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 03:08 PM
Storm is right about TNA. But the fact that he puts over WWE so much hurts his analysis. Because Raw was fucking terrible as well.
Rather than sound unbiased, Lance always sounds like he is looking for any excuse to bash TNA.

Who the hell is Chris Angle?
Posted By: Guest#5979 (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 03:33 PM
Lance had some good points but was a bit heavy on the anti-TNA.
BTW, who's this Criss Angle cat? Is he another member of the illustrious Olympiic clan we'll see pop up in TNA to give Kurt a helping hand against Ken Anderson?
Posted By: Guest#3540 (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 03:43 PM
Well for anyone on this page to talk shit about Storm drawing money,he drew more than anyone on this site! At the same time he isn't out there trying to help either companies cause so maybe he should just shut his mouth. If ya don't have a horse in the race why watch and talk shit?

Lance Storm you were never anywhere near Hulk Hogan statis nor will you ever be you chump! All you do in your stupid blogs is kiss Vinces Ass you suck up. How can you sit there and say you enjoyed Raw when its the same crap their serving every week then turn around and shit all over TNA! I guess you Love crap so go take it down brother!RVD decided to CROSS the LINE and what do you do....you talk crap. Hey Lance Buddy are you wrestling? No because you will never be a RVD,Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair, AJ Styles,Jeff Hardy ! Lance Storm you can take your columns and go show them to Vince and kiss his Ass you suck up! I went to several I mean several wrestling websites and TNA BEAT RAW HANDS DOWN ON ALL OF THEM YOU CHUMP!Thos were polls from the all the fans and TNA beat RAW on all of them! How do you know that Lance Storm doesn't have money? And what does Hulk Hogan in 1996 have to do with Sting in 2010?

Quite simply, the best column on the entire internet.
Posted By: Storm>>>WWE>>>TNA (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 04:35 PM
WWE is just as boring now as I was to them in 2003. That's why I let them slide and constantly complain about TNA.

You guys need to update this story. The movie with Batista and RVD is NOT titled "Wrong Side Of The Tracks". It's called "Wrong Side Of Town". I've already seen it, and it's pretty hilarious. RVD is actually the main character in it. Batista plays one of RVD's old special forces buddies who RVD has to turn to for help when a bunch of gangsters come after RVD and his wife. It's terrible, but in a good way. Also, Viscera is in it lol and takes a beating from RVD at a gas station at one point.

And a little kid on the internet knows more about it than a guy who actually worked in the industry? No offense, but i rate Lance Storm's opinion slightly higher than yours.

Apparently you were not watching because it was STING, not FLAIR that was on the team. Sting and Savage were both already beat down when Hogan entered. Nobody knew Hogan was the third man till he dropped the leg drop on Savage.

Storm doesn't want to wrestle with Russo booking the show. He stated a few times for the last 5 years that if they hired him as part of a creative end of the company, then he would consider to fly down and give his input.

Anyone that discredits Storm's opinion over bitterness about not getting a paycheck from TNA or WWE needs to remember this: Storm charges 3 grand to train with him for three months, cranks out 3 to 4 batches of new students each year with AT LEAST five or six students per class. Do the math and realize that he does this while being able to be home all the time, and tell me who's laughing all the way to the bank.
Posted By: Guest#1052 (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 07:25 PM
I actual thought that both shows sucked hardcore. TNA had one good match (Williams 3 way). No Joe, no Lethal (what the hell is he doing), no MCMG, no Team 3D (which I do like). The show's promos/storytelling was awful. I actually had to use the close caption to try to understand the Nash/Young vs. Hall/Waltman segment, because Waltman/Hall kept slurring the words. Then there was the Sting's swerve that made no sense and surprise run-ins (Hardy, Moore, RVD) was just weak. Heyman turning out the lights in ECW had more effect then this. At this point I am for Heyman and Cornett joining forces, coming into TNA and replacing Russo, Hogan, Flair, Bischoff and starting from scratch. Hey Dixie: At least both Heyman & Corn know how to make the most out of the talent that they have, without spending an ass-load of money.
As for Raw, I loved the Legacy/Orton match and wished that Bourne/Regal went on a little longer. The rest of the matches were crap. Cena/Vince was DUMB. At least the little kids enjoyed Cena kicking out all those finishers. The Divas match was terrible, and even the ShowMiz match was awful. Also, how many f'ing promo does WWE need in a night? HBK and Taker took up 15 mins alone, and ended with what? MORE WAR OF WORDS. Boring! Then HHH/Sheamus, which felt like I was at a family reunion, I just wanted it to end. I am not a fan of Trips the person, but he does cut good promos and this was not one of them. Next is the guest host. I am sure the all 13 yr old children were happy to see a magician and their favorite midget work together, and maybe next week SCSA will dress in a clown suit and juggle, that will put my ass in the seat! Please Vince, end this stupid guest host of Raw crap and put someone in the spot (I don't care if it is HBK after he loses at Mania), but make it stop and FIRE HORNSWAGGLE. Little people can find jobs out too.
Posted By: KT (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 08:05 PM
To all the people bashing Lance about never making it big, having no money, and not being called by TNA, you are morons. Lance retired on his own terms. If he wanted back in WWE he'd be there.(Jericho certainly has enough pull for that) He accomplished a lot more than any of us in his wrestling career. Also, Lance isn't hurting for money he runs a successful wrestling school. Do some research before you start bashing people.
Posted By: BK (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 08:27 PM
As usual, Storm speaks the truth. I was never a fan of his work much when he was still full-time, but his blogs are always well-written, and he slams both sides, as well as praises them both (although it is so hard with TNA).
Posted By: Greg (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 08:31 PM
Blah, blah, blah...
TNA sucks because it's not WWE.
Blah, blah, blah.
They got a 1.0, which is probably about what was expected. It won't get much better, if at all, while WWE is building for Mania, and again, I'm sure that's what is expected. This is long term, not short term.
Everybody expects instant gratification. The real world don't work that way. It takes time. Even the battle between WWF and WCW took time to really get going, and this is far from that.
It's long term folks. Think about it. Now, if they can't grow anything at all in five or six months, there will be problems.
Another thing is this talk that Hogan, Flair and Bischoff are somehow messing it all up. I admit I am skeptical too, but think about it.
The Monday night move has been talked about by TNA before. They wanted to do this a long time ago, but the timing wasn't right. Now suppose they did this without Hogan and those who came with him. Do you really think they could have beat a 1.0 or even had that rating? Be honest.
I just have to laugh when guys like Storm and HTM run their mouths about TNA over and over again. Yeah guys. You wish you were there with them. Which reminds me. Isn't it about time for Cornette to chime in too?
I wasn't in favor of Mondays. Thursday was fine with me. Though Raw has gotten pretty bad in my opinion, I'd still rather not have to choose when there are plenty of other nights. I'm not a fan of just one show. As long as it doesn't suck too bad, I'll watch WWE, TNA and even ROH if I could get it.
In my opinion, TNA did just fine on it's second Monday night. It's about establishing it's place and growing the numbers from there over time. They were NEVER going to beat them or even come close, even if they put out a PPV type of show with mostly wrestling. IT WASN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
Guess what? They won't beat them next week, the next month or the month after that, and I don't think they expect that. It would be totally delusional. We'll just have to see how the numbers grow, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, if having two shows on Monday makes the overall quality better.
Ig it helps make things better than they are now in wrestling, I'm all for it. Both companies have plenty of room for improvement.

Perhaps people should wait to see how the Sting heel turn develops before passing judgment. We haven't yet heard why he turned heel. We don't know where the angle is going. And yet people already want to weigh in with opinions on it even though they practically have no basis for them.
I do agree that RVD's debut was wasted. On the other hand, beating Sting in 10 seconds isn't exactly the worst debut ever. If anything, it probably stroked RVD's ego a little. The subsequent beat down angle by Sting is understandable though - it further develops Sting's heel turn (since he's frustrated at Hogan and Bischoff for screwing him by setting up a match he wasn't ready for) and garners more babyface support for RVD.
However, RVD could have been used better. Perhaps he could have debuted by running in with Jeff Hardy in the main event (which would then establish next week's main event against Styles and Wolfe).
P.S. Kurt Angle FTW!!! The army entrance was awesome!
Posted By: J-Dizzle (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 08:58 PM
Also a note to TNA: Steve Austin is a big star and will be on RAW next week, so WWE is TELLING fans this so he might draw ratings.
-Lance Storm
Awe. Some. Couldn't be said better.

I have to admit "TNA sucks because..." is honest. But "WWE sucked but I'll give it a chance to deliver" is such a load of crap.
Posted By: Guest#5079 (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 09:21 PM
I'm sorry but I don't give Storm much credibility. He was never entertaining in ANY promo or match that I saw him in. The best push he ever got was in WCW during the shit years. This guy wouldn't know wrestling entertainment if it slapped him in the ass.
Posted By: Jason (Guest) on March 10, 2010 at 09:33 PM
I wouldn't exactly call Cyndi Lauper a tie to wrestling but whatever.Anyway, I saw the interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin on Lopez Tonight and I thought he was there to promote him being on Raw but he talked about Mexican food and wine which I thoroughly enjoyed.

LMAO havent head from Lance Strom in a decade and now he gets in a couple TNA shots within 3 weeks? he must be trolling for a job with WWE or something knowing they start new storylines, if you can actually call them atht, after Wm is all said and done. or maybe he is looking to at leastg get a 'mentors' roll on the next edtion (if there is one) of NXT.
Butit figures all the WWE knobgobllers would come out to cheer this guy on. Problem is due to their taregt demographic I dont see how anyone that is currently watching WWE (the 12 and under and their moms) would have a frigging clue as to who Lance Storm even is.
But he is dfinitely looking to suck Mcmahons cock and get a job somehow, and figures the best way to do it is to do a weekly bashing of anything TNA related.

Destination x when the hell is that PPV? There is little to no build for that PPV,what are the matches Abyss and his ring vs Aj and his nature boy, where is Pope and his title shot oh yeah they forgot their own booking again and forgot when someone earns a title shot they are supposed to get it,so they instead give it to the fat guy that sucks hogans dick for a magic ring instead of course makes perfect sense, and thats's the main event wow TNA wow.then there is Angle vs Anderson in a who gets injured first match, shannon moore for some unknown reason randomly is in a PPV title match, and then we have beer money vs hernandez and morgan, come on who cares about hernandez and morgan as a tag team?Good thing RVD was a one shot deal cause he wouldnt want to be on this sinking ship.TNA has some talent but NO direction at all, they cant even put on a coherant tv show let alone go to "war",what will next weeks rating drop form .98 to .5? and they are even promoting their crap during RAW and they cant get shit for ratings, shouldn't that be a hint?I can't wait till this hogan/bischoff experiment ends cause they are quickly killing TNA.
