Raw by a LONGSHOT

Even though I'm pulling for TNA, and am solidly behind Impact..... RAW was a pretty solid show this week. Main event matchups, and furthering a lot of angles.

"Last week the commenters felt that Impact was the better show"

Yeah the TNA trolls er...I mean commenters on THIS site said it was the better show, but C'MON.

Without question, Raw was the better show in my opinion. Tonight, they showed why Raw has been on the air for almost 20 years and why they will probably be on the air for another 20 to 30 years.

Posted By: Guest#7824 (Guest)  on March 15, 2010 at 11:46 PM

The Room by Tommy Wiseau. Better than either show.

Posted By: Guest#8898 (Guest)  on March 15, 2010 at 11:48 PM

RAW by far...

Posted By: Guest#6018 (Guest)  on March 15, 2010 at 11:54 PM

Impa(lol)

I'm sorry, I can't type that with a straight face.

Posted By: Guest#8645 (Guest)  on March 15, 2010 at 11:59 PM

RAW was once again full of lame, predictable, cop out finishes, but it will ALWAYS be better than the 1997 WCW Nostalgia Tour.

Posted By: 2ne1 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:00 AM

Raw was good. The sad thing is -- they're capable of this and better every week. And yet, if they're not building to WM, they give us crap.

Posted By: Guest#6231 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:04 AM

Definitely Raw tonight

Posted By: Guest#9749 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:04 AM

Raw, but that's no compliment to it, either. Impact was just wave after wave of fail, while Raw was......average at times.

Posted By: Soy (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:08 AM

RAW. Not a good episode tonight I like when WrestleMania Rewind is all night and 3 hours. That being said it is builiding toward WrestleMania while TNA is forgetting all about GREED.

Posted By: Radtke (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:10 AM

Take away Stone Cold Steve Austin, and it is iMPACT! But this night was all about Austin and he came through.

Gotta hand it to RAW.

Posted By: miles berg (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:12 AM

I enjoyed both shows this week. Tonight's Impact was way better than last week's Impact, but RAW was still the better show tonight. I felt TNA was a pretty good show where RAW was a great show.

Posted By: dean1983 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:13 AM

iMpact was terrible, while Raw was awesome.

Posted By: Anonymous (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:13 AM

Impact was just there tonight....basically because it was a taped show so the feeling of anything can happen was not there. The only thing that gives Raw the win tonight are the segments with Steve Austin. Other than that, Raw sucked too.

Posted By: Ugly American (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:13 AM

Neither was good, but if I have to choose, then it's Raw by a longshot. At least watching Raw doesn't make me want to throw bottles at my TV.

Impact

RAW was more disappointing, so I say IMPACT.

RAW wins, they had some good matches and nice segment with Austin, Bret and Vince

Posted By: kev (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:21 AM

Raw, but both were not very good. Impact had the best match of the night (Styles/Hardy), and the best segment (X-Division mayhem) but it also had the Nasty Boys. While Raw had Stone Cold, they really didn't use him enough to matter outside his introduction. Raw had more story progression and a lot of it, which is why I give it a slight edge.

Posted By: August (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:22 AM

RAW RAW surely definitely

Posted By: Guest#0870 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:22 AM

Raw - 7.5/10.

Impact - 4/10.

TNA IMPACT WINS AGAIN! WWE the same stuff. Austin and Bret was ok. WWE = PG HA HA HA !!!

Thought Raw was hitting nearly perfectly tonight. Some slight hiccups but overall a really good show. I gave up on TNA after the show Jan 4th, so I can't say how it was. Only that Raw was very enjoyable.

Posted By: deadpoetic (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:32 AM

Raw.

It wasn't amazing or anything, but Impact was really bad.

Raw

TNA is dead

Posted By: TheRev (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:42 AM

TNA! Why? It finished with a sweet match, not backstage politics.

Posted By: Guest#6207 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 12:52 AM

If you're a WWE fanboy, you bash the TNA fanboys...and vice versa. Very mature. Actually makes both sets look like idiots. Both shows were good, with Raw edging out Impact because Steve Austin is that commanding of an on screen presence. Case closed.

Impact - 4/10.

That's right where I'd rate them. I was expecting Raw to be a blown away 9 or 10 but I have to say the PG really holds them back on nights like tonight.

well 2 weeks in and for me, Tna-1, Wwe-1. Raw was just the better overall show tonight.....and please no one bring up the "well this company had a stacked card excuse" as I feel it was a horrible excuse last week and it would be a horrible excuse this week. Neither had a blow away show but if u made me choose, I'd say Raw was better.

Posted By: cj (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 01:37 AM

RAW. How the hell is it so hard for TNA to actually do better is beyond me.

Posted By: Well... it's true! (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 01:41 AM

Both were good, but the Bret Hart segment edged Raw ahead for me. They made a memorable moment.

Impact. I like wrestling and even if TNA wasn't great, Raw was a whole lot worse.

Celtics vs. Pistons and Lakers vs. Warriors were the winners.

Posted By: Evan (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 01:59 AM

Once again, neither show did anything to stand out. iMPACT! was boring and they have strayed so far away from what made them different and entertaining. Their like a mixture of 1997 WCW and 2008 ECW, which is not what I thought this company would succumb to. RAW was meh, they just went thru the motions to slow build everything but Cena/Batista which is fine, just not when it's whats been going on for the last month, every week.

RAW- 5.5/10
iMPACT!- 4/10

Posted By: Pooh Bear (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 02:01 AM

P.S.
RAW 2-0
iMPACT! 0-2

for the first time in his career, batista did sumthin i liked and didnt let the ref wipe the blood off his face..maybe cuz wwe realizes ppl like blood, but it wont officaily happen linda loses in that race...wwe over tna anyday...

Raw, but honestly it was like watching Michael Cole wrestle Mike Adamle to determine some universal award for sucking.

"Last week the commenters felt that Impact was the better show, while WWE took the victory in the ratings"

Who really cares what the better show was from the 'internet fans'?

This page could have 5,000 comments, all saying TNA was best, and it won't mean anything.

All that matters is Tuesday afternoon when the rating numbers are released, and that is where the 'real winner' is announced each week.

Posted By: It's all that matters..... (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 02:18 AM

As a fan of both, I say Raw. It wasn't even close.

Posted By: Guest#5015 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 02:18 AM

No hesitation, Raw was the better show for the night. With the build to Wrestlemania and everyone in the WWE kicking it up a notch or two, TNA has to do more than just the "same old, same old" if they really want to be competition at this time of the year.

Posted By: Greg T. (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 02:19 AM

I enjoyed both shows, but Raw put on the better show

i cant even answer because i DIDN'T WATCH TNA

RAW FTW!

Are you gonna do this every week.

I almost fell asleep watching RAW, and only remained awake by Impact because I was holding the remote. I was more interested in my bowl of ice cream than both these shows tonight

Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream > Both of the shows.

Posted By: Jeremy from Palmdale (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 02:47 AM

God knows what reason your going to have all these TNA fanboys bashing Raw, even though it totally kicked Impact's ass. Lets be realistic here, if you think TNA was actually better then you are a complete moron or your lying to yourself. The wrestlers are old WWE/WCW rejects, the production is shitty, the story lines are shitty, the writing is shitty. And for all the people complaning, neither show was good. Don't fucking watch it no more, and don't come on a wrestling site hating on it, if you dont enjoy something then why do you continue to watch it. I'm not a WWE fanboy and I wish there really was some form of wrestling war but TNA just blows monster cocks. They had several chances to make me cross the line, I think I'll stay on the side with the greener grass.

RAW

Posted By: RAW! (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 03:01 AM

Impact. Best segment, best match, and I didn't have to watch Cena vs Big Show for the 10,000th time. And Orton/HHH stunk last year, why would I bother watching it again? HBK/Jericho was the only match that had potential but even that was a cop-out finish.

So yeah, Impact. And I AM an Austin fan too!

Posted By: Black Scorpion (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 03:27 AM

Impact if you actually watched them and didn't just read them.

IMPACT

Posted By: Guest#1863 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 04:05 AM

Austin proved that every single guest host should be a former professional wrestler, because if you are not in the business, you just don't get the business. Based on him, solid builds towards Wrestlemania, and appropriate booking of the McMahon/Hart angle; Raw was the better show.

Posted By: Seriously (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 04:23 AM

Cake Boss and South Park reruns.
South Park had the world of warcraft episode, where the boys fought a tough opponent and Cartman took a shit in a bed pan his mom was holding so he wouldn't have to stop playing.

Kicked both shows right in the balls.

Impa(What!!!) Impa....(What!!!)

RAW by a mile

Posted By: Guest#3862 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 04:40 AM

They were both equaly horrible................wrestling is lost, what happen to storylines, fudes that matters and last more than 2 days, a reason to have a match at all, some good gimmiks, thinking outside the box, creating guys to be bigger than life wrestlers. Now wrestling looks faker than ever, guys are trying to be so over-serious during interviews that it sounds stupid. Everybody having these supercut hair styles, fancy mtv music. Is it pro wrestling we want, or some fake so called entertainment soap show??

wwe hands down. tna=wcw 2000

Posted By: Guest#7735 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 06:32 AM

Well... I fast forwarded less thru impact than RAW, so impact wins for me. I didn't care about Rewind matches where you already knew each individual's WM opponent was likely going to "run in" or do something. Cool to see Austin, but other than him I preferred just seeing what impact had to offer.

I hope they get either the same rating or better this week so they don't get discouraged too early

Posted By: Byzdalmyt (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 06:34 AM

watching impact makes my head hurt. i'll see something awesome then it is followed by something completely asinine.

it doesnt matter if it is raw, sd, nxt or superstars. impact will lose to any wwe show because they are run by a three headed monster that buried one company already.

Posted By: jd (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 06:40 AM

Both shows was good...

RAW was far better than Impact... by a country mile...

Austin did great as a guest host, he didnt overshadow the current talent...

I loved how when Cena came Austin got out of the ring without even a word!! Nice touch.

Well, who do you take??? if you honestly look at those names, they are extremely close in talent level...its the direction of the companies that are making the second list look lackluster...both companies are using some guys well and other guys horrendously...you honestly have to say both shows are good with elements of crap, or both shows are horrible with bright spots here and there

Posted By: jwilliams1983 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 06:55 AM

Impact was an improvement on last week's nonsense. Raw was okay, but only 3 Austin segments, wtf? Criss/Kriss/Ckris Angel gets 15 minutes to do shitty magic tricks, Austin gets nothing.

Not much difference in terms of matches, but obviously going into Mania WWE has the edge in terms of storylines and promos.

So, Raw.

Posted By: Bruno (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 07:07 AM

Raw hands down.

Can't defend that turd of a show Impact this week.

Posted By: Andrew Barbarash (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 07:22 AM

I flipped to Impact and saw Jimmy Hart not only in a wrestling ring, but pinning Brother Ray. I stuck with RAW even through the commercials.

Posted By: Bobby (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 07:24 AM

I hate both shows, but it was clear that RAW was better this week (both on the storylines and wrestling). That however doesnt make Raw a good show.
I'd say 5.0 for RAW and 3.0 for Impact

Posted By: Guest#0756 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 07:35 AM

TNA had the better ending, we all knew bret wasn't really injured or that woulda been a stupid match for WM.

Posted By: BPN (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 08:05 AM

Thought both shows were poor this week, TNA was the better show last week but RAW was a better show this week but neither really set the world of fire.

Both companies need to step it up if they want me to keep watching, Smackdown & RoH are the only shows that are really interesting to me the last few months, I've been a fan since the mid-80's and I want to care about the Monday shows and I want both companies to suceed but they just aren't doing it for me right now outside of HBK/Taker.

Posted By: Guest#3275 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 08:13 AM

Unless you watch both shows from beginning to end, you cant tell which one is better. I don't know what RAW was like, I watched TNA.

Impact was much better show last night.

but I am biased, I love TNA Wrestling!!!

let's see...
negatives to me:
-barley see SCSA and the censors dump out of "ass" multiple times, barley does his shtick
-Kofi squashed
-shamus beats up borne for 15th time
-2 non-finishes and 1 non-start
-rushing the legacy triple threat
-next weeks main event
-Micheal Cole & jerry Lawler
- orton giving hhh props
-HBK & Y2J really had a let down for what those two can do
positives:
-great to see SCSA break character and give a smile
-orton/hhh are still great workers even though we have see it a hundred times
-austin/HBK interaction (especially since there was no hornswaggle or bella twins back there)
-bret finally admit's he is working vince
-batista's new hell role is getting better and more heat than i ever though he could possibly get.

Impact:
Negatives:
-AJ's slow start on the mic in the opening segment
-nasty boys wrestling
-watching nash & hall "brawl"
-kurt/pop vs wolf/anderson could have gone longer, still effective just wish it was longer
-AJ counting lights cleanly
-abyss doing "hulk"

Positives:
-opening segment work very well
-over all in ring work
-beer money a focus of the show and tag division again
-heelish matt morgan
-RVD get his revenge
-Hogan & Bish not on the same page
-knockout division is something to care about again
-MCMG get promo time/X division spot fest segment. went extremely well and put over the talent of the guys in the 2 matches
-Abyss destroys flair and the fear in AJ's eyes as he holds the tile for dear life. best job i have seen AJ do, he really put over himself as he doesnt think he can beat Abyss now

with 2 weeks to go RAW was really a letdown especially w/ SCSA and impact delivered a good go home show.

RAW: D+
Impact: B-

Probably ROH, and I didn't even see it. RAW and Impact both pretty much sucked...RAW had main event matches, but none of them had clean or decisive finishes. I guess I'd say that it was the better show due to mostly logical booking and a decent guest GM (and they got me to mark out for the Bret reveal, even though I knew it was coming). Impact started strong for me - I thought AJ's promo was one of his better ones and Flair busting himself open and then having the creepy bloody eye thing was awesome. But right around 10 o'clock, everything went off the rails - fat Scott Hall, more Brooke Hogan, painfully not entertaining Foley segments, one or two of the three #1 contenders going over the champ again...argh.

TNA is like pizza and sex, even when it's not that good its still better then WWE any day of the week.

TNA may be WCW 97 but the Vince/Bret thing is an actual replay of what happened in 1997

If you're a WWE fanboy, you bash the TNA fanboys...and vice versa. Very mature. Actually makes both sets look like idiots. Both shows were good, with Raw edging out Impact because Steve Austin is that commanding of an on screen presence. Case closed.

Fake maturity and condescension appears as fake as it is, so stop it.

Don't know, cause I didn't see much of Raw. Recorded the last 45 minutes of it, but fast forwarded through 30-some of those minutes. Impact was pretty good though.

RAW

Raw ,no doubt.
Bret-Austin-Vince segment was better compared to everyting on Impact.
Sting-RVD-HOGAN segment was awful,Sting walks to the ring about 2 hours.

I can't believe a biased-assed website says RAW was better, who'd of thunk it.

Raw by far.

RAW was better overall.

I did give my "main event" attention to Hardy vs Styles over the Vince/Bret contract segment though.

Raw, though Impact have the better main event with Styles vs. Hardy.

Obviously whichever show I was on was better!

I'd rather watch the Undertaker's Dong for a whole 2 hours than this crap!

If Hogan doesn't have the title by the summer, VicTomato and myself will be sorely dissapointed.....we vow not to watch another episode of Impact!

Raw, easily.

Raw will be more interesting every week than Impact, until we find out if Kofi will go to Wrestlemania.

Of course, that only covers next week. After that, the Road to Wrestlemania is over, normal service will resume, and TNA might just stand a chance of winning a quality battle.

Although in fairness, I'd rather watch the Nasty Boys than John Cena - at leas they're good for an ironic laugh.

UFC wired was better than them all!

Definitely don't agree with the people that said that impact! sucked...kinda felt it was a decent go home show for Destination X. They coulda held off on Hardy and AJ for a ppv, but perhaps we'll see that down the road for the title. Raw was just a lil bit better. Hats off to both shows, but WWE has no choice but to be better. Stone Cold Steve Austin, WrestleMania rematches and hype. It woulda been kinda sad if impact really was better

Posted By: bighustle (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 11:49 AM

The sad thing is that you are comparing apples to oranges here, TNA is barely beating NXT in ratings. TNA will move back to Thursdays within six months.

RAW.... ahem... Stone Cold

Honestly.....having looked at both side by side just now....TNA was a more enjoyable show. Outside of the Austin nostalgia and the closing segment which were both AWESOME, there wasnt much on RAW that I hadnt already seen. Now, had Austin stunned Big Show when he came down the aisle....I may have had something different to say. In giving TNA a fair chance today, they did have a better product and less flubs. I just think they need to trim the fat and lock in some better storylines. Im looking forward to next Monday and seeing who comes out on top.

Raw was the better show. I didn't even watch TNA. In fact I actually forgot that TNA was on, but knowing the garbage they've been putting on since Hogan and Bishchoff took over I'll go ahead and confidantly say that Raw was definitely the better show. I usually flip switch channels to TNA when Raw goes to commercial, but TNA is not worth remembering, so, uh, yeah, I forgot it was even on.

I can't believe these people, yeah I enjoyed seeing Austin too, but Impact was better because of Hardy vs Styles. Not to mention the awesome X-division stuff. All the matches on Raw were mediocre.

I WATCHED both shows. I call it a tie. Hardy/Styles was match of the night in my eyes. The major thing that brought raw down was refs trying to get rid of batistas blood and austin being bleeped out every other time he opened his mouth.

TNA IMPACT

but not by far....raw did better this week than last week.....they actually had some wrestling....

gotta give credit where its due.....

and i also have to say...tna production was much better than last weeks...

Honestly, as much as it hurts me to say, Raw by a slight margin. The show just was better, with a big feel as they build to WM. Macthes weren't half-bad, either. That being said, Impact was pretty strong this week, but things seem to meander and at times lost me.

Posted By: Guest#7093 (Guest)  on March 16, 2010 at 04:24 PM

Pawn Stars > Raw and Impact.

WWE should get the Old Man to host. He could bring along Chumley just so Chum can get the shit beat out of him.

Impact made some strides this week over last, and it was an enjoyable show overall, despite the annoyingly hurried pace they continue to use. Plus, Eric Young's baseball slide into the ring rocked face.

Also, Fenix's comments are quality. Thanks for giving an actual analysis with positives and negatives for both.

Dear god RAW kicked TNA's ass because TNA's booking, once again, is absolutely retarded.

Atleast WWE know how to book a show, even if it is 'underwhelming'.

TNA without a doubt, raw was boring and predictable.
