Linda McMahon Takes Lead In Major Poll
Posted by Larry Csonka on 03.17.2010

According to a Quinnipiac University poll, Linda McMahon has comeback from a 10 point deficit and is now leading U.S. Rep. Rob Simmons 44% to 34%. Quinnipiac University Poll Director Douglas Schwartz, PhD, explains why McMahon has been able to comeback so strong…

"What explains Linda McMahon's rise in the polls? Money. She is the only Senate candidate on TV right now. She quickly has become as well-known and well-liked among Republicans as the former frontrunner for the Republican nomination, three-term Congressman Rob Simmons."

She's in the lead in the Republican primaries, but I heard on the news this morning that she is trailing far, far behind the Democrat.

Oh yes Andrew, and our nation's decline has absolutely nothing to do with the liberals milking this country dry with dead-end social programs.

- Forget PG. They will have to go to G to appease the critics when she doesn't live up to her promises. So chairs and tables, hello arm bars and headlocks.

It's nice to know people realize that money is the only reason she's ahead in the primary. I just wish voters weren't so stupid. I used to believe the electoral college was a bad thing until I began to realize how easy it is to buy an election. This being a prime example of that.

No, people who think strictly along party lines, as opposed to thinking for themselves and vote for Parties rather than people are the cancer of the United States.

Has she ever admitted that she's running for the Senate because the feds are always looking over her husband's shoulder?

Posted By: Guest (Guest)  on March 17, 2010 at 03:09 PM

Yea she is tailing the Dem Candidate. I'm from CT and the guy running for the senate was the Attorney General who the majority of people living in the state like. I find it hard to see her winning. The democrat Blumenthal is on tv all the time and is always in the public.

Agreed. I hate these morons who sit there throwing shit all day at 'liberals' or 'conservatives', depending usually simply on what newspaper they read and what news TV channel they watch, when the reality is that the major issues facing society today go well beyond superficial party politics.

You're both half right. It's partisan douchebags on both ends of the spectrum who are more interested in standing behind their party than compromising and cooperating to work toward what's in the best interests of the nation. As long as Republicans attack every issue from a purely right-wing perspective, and Democrats attack every issue from a straight left-wing perspective, the country is always going to be f*cked.

Both dem's and rep's have garbage in their respective parties, so to tar the whole party with the actions of them is stupid. I'm looking at this Andrew Barbarash fellow with his sweeping statement.

I'm rooting for Linda because of the sheer strength of her economic and fiscal beliefs. This poll, while just a poll, should deflate that greedy Rob Simmons' ego down a notch. Linda is so strong willed and she is what the Senate needs - someone with FRESH, ORIGINAL ideas (unlike that parasitic rat Chris Dodd) coupled with her intelligence, class, honesty and great oratorical skills.

Go Linda, fight the good fight, we're so proud of you :)

Thanks to the few positive comments on here (like Bill) who recognize what good Linda brings. She's been the centre of a smear campaign from the outset and she's leading a major poll...and she did it through hard work and honesty, and NOT resorting to petty mud slinging.

The ONLY people that should hate liberals are white men because they are no longer head and shoulders above any other citizen in the United States. That is it. If anything, liberals are trying to give equal opportunities to every citiizen in the United States. Conservatives are the people that wish to keep the status quo.

You do realize that non-white conservatives exist too. And are you a white male? That's a very big assumption on two levels:

1. An assumtion that liberals are into creating equal opportunities.

2. Another assumption that white men want to maintain a status quo.
