The NXT rookies are outdrawing Hogan, Flair, Nash, RVD, Jeff Jardy, etc.

What is wrong with this picture? The answer: Russo.

TNA should move Impact to Wednesdays. If it ever beats NXT then they should reconsider moving back to Mondays.

Which means that more people care about the young up-and-comers that no-one knows than the old guard being represented by TNA.
And no, don't even start to bitch, apart from maybe 50.000 members of the IWC, nobody knew Daniel Bryan before NXT started airing.
Yet still, more people tune in to watch what he's doing rather than check out TNA.

Ouch.

People can bash TNA with the rating, but Syfy wants better ratings then 1.0. If they were ok with it, ECW would still be around. Its also kinda sad considering IWC favorites Jericho, Miz and Punk can't pull this out either. Its pretty sad, really. I give it til the initial trial is over then more Stargate.

TNA's highest rating was the over-run - during Shawn's farewell.

TNA lost over half of it's 18-35 demographic.
Every week it is some other special circumstance that conspires against TNA.

What's the next excuse? That it's the post-Wrestlemania letdown? Then it's because summer is always slow.

Last week RAW lost .5 points from the previous week, but they didn't watch Impact. Impact dropped too.

Some other commenter pointed out that SyFy wants higher than 1.0. That's true, they do. But it still beats TNA.
SyFy may not like 1.0, but plenty of other cable companies do. TNA is lucky that Vince sticks with the NBC family, because if he offered a show to Spike, it would make politics there more interesting, even if he did nothing else to stir the pot.

No, Shawn didn't retire on NXT but considering how the RAW on the night after Wrestlmania gets a ratings bump it's not insane to suggest that that bump MIGHT microscopically carry over to NXt even if just by .1 or .2 percentage points

Posted By: Leon (Guest)  on March 31, 2010 at 08:44 PM

People, it is called brand loyalty. Plain and simple. The Wrestling Community extends a lot further than the IWC. WWE has a forum in RAW, SD, and even Superstars to promote their shows. Once TNA establishes their name to the general fan- than the comparison can begin. Not that more people care more about these rookies. Most people don't know about TNA.

Oh, sure, NXT gets a 1.0. Lets ignore the fact that it is was ECW tried to be: A 'ROOKIE' SHOW! It won't set the world on fire, but the show is doing a hell of a better job than TNA.

I love NXT. The first posted rating on the rookies was not what I expected. I love how Otunga answered very fast as a up and coming wrestler. He will certainly do very big for RAW on Monday night. The WWE need to take a very serious look at this young man. They could make a great team and do wonders. Otunga is the total package, and he can raise to all levels. D. Bryan 10yrs of wrestling have not made him a standout. He is still the same old type of wrestler from back in the day. The WWE needs something special and gifted.

THE LITTLE ENGINE THAT COULD! Tna has a good three years with spike tv Monday night. Eventually there will be more people turning to the better show. WWE has been around for so long that its not going to happen over night, but it will happen. NXT (wwe)fans can enjoy there little win cause anything can and will happen.Tna still has so many viewers so dont count them out or you will get caught with your pants down just like Vince! enjoy ur glory WWE peeps.

look, you make an interesting point, but right now, Spike execs are wondering aloud to each other if they should just start running the tv spot talking about how horny Benjamin Franklin was for two back to back hours in hope of increasing the rating in that slot.

Is NXT going against RAW? Is RAW on in it's timeslot on another channel? No? Then you CAN'T compare the ratings TNA gets to NXT.

When TNA ran on Thursdays they almost always did better ratings than this. Something to think about E-tards.

Just you wait, now we've hurt Raw's ratings we're moving to Impact to go head to head with NXT - yes, Impact will change into the future of wrestling with a 1 hour show featuring new talent like Jeff 'The Dealer' Hardy and Rob 'Dope Fiend' Van Dam against the same old NXT guys.

"The bottome line is none of you posting 50+ comments here watched NXT. And noone cares about NXT and never will. So shut up and have a life, stupid little pieces of trash.

"Check the rating again, dumbass!

Oh, sure, NXT gets a 1.0. Lets ignore the fact that it is was ECW tried to be: A 'ROOKIE' SHOW! It won't set the world on fire, but the show is doing a hell of a better job than TNA."

I'm talking about NXT, little piece of crap. I'm not talking about TNA cause I don't watch it. The bottom line is the NXT is the worst TV show ever and noone watch this shit.

"When TNA ran on Thursdays they almost always did better ratings than this. Something to think about E-tards.

Actually it's something Dixie & Co. needs to think about. Why the hell did they move to Mondays? It wouldn't be because of Hogan and Bischoffs egos now and not what is good for TNA would it?

" despite what Michael Cole may try to tell you, in front of some pretty awesome crowds, including the over 50,000 people that packed the Tokyo Dome the several times I was there."

People knew him.

Unfortunately, those people are not in the United States.

That would be like WWE signing Mistico and then saying that NXT viewers will have heard of him. This is not to disrespect what Daniel Bryan (or Mistico) has done... but to say that Michael Cole is somewhat right when he asserts that those guys are starting over no matter what they were doing before WWE.
