Ring of Honor Show Results: Chicago Ridge, IL

Including the opening round of Tag Wars 2010...
Results from Ring of Honor show in Chicago Ridge, IL last night. Report courtesy Kyle Thomas and PWInsider:
I can't recall the results of the pre-show matches, however Mike Sydel was stretchered out, which seemed legit because it delayed the start of the show and Cornette went on the mic to ask for patience because they didn't want to further injure him by rushing him out of the ring. Sydel took a clotheslines from the Ass-Kicker (Jay Bradley, I believe) but instead of the chest, Sydel got struck in the face by Ass-Kicker's fist. I don't know if it was that, his neck possibly snapping back, or the back of his head smacking the mat, but he was laying for quite a while.
‘Supercard of Honor V' Rematch
Amazing Kong defeated Sara del Rey w/ Kings of Wrestling
Tag Wars 2010 Opening Round
The Briscoe Brothers defeated The House of Truth with Truth Martini
Pick 6 Contenders Series
(1) Roderick Strong with Truth Martini vs. Austin Aries
Truth Martini was kicked out a few minutes in the match, but Roderick Strong still pulled out the victory.
After the match, Aries got on the mic and gave Strong credit for defeating him. He then ran down Truth Martini and said he should join forces with the greatest manager of all-time (meaning himself). He asked for someone to get his pipe and something else. While he waited for his items to be fetched, he cut a promo on Delirious. Said he snatched Daizee Haze (see Friday's results) and could have done anything he wanted to her, but all he wanted to do was show that only a real man could protect her (again meaning himself). He finished by introducing The All-Night Express.
Tag Wars 2010 Opening Round
The All-Night Express (Kenny King/Rhett Titus) defeated Jerry Lynn/Delirious without Daizee Haze. Good long match. Lynn did a dive to the outside and held King and Titus up so Delirious could do a dive on them as well. However, Delirious did a dive on Austin Aries instead (who was on the opposite side of the ring). This allowed King and Titus to double team Lynn on the outside and then work over Delirious for the victory.
INTERMISSION
Tag Wars 2010 Opening Round
Colt Cabana & El Generico defeated The American Wolves by submission in a hilarious second opener to get the crowd ready for more action.
Special Attraction – Tag Team Challenge
World Tag Team Champions The Kings of Wrestling with Sara del Ray pinned GenerationMe (formerly The Young Bucks)
ROH World Title Match
Tyler Black defeated Kevin Steen by pinfall (I believe). This was a good match with a mix of brawling and spots. They even broke the ringside table. Both men bled at different points. I think Black kicked out a little too late on a couple pinfalls, but I may not have had a good vantage point to tell for sure.
I hadn't never gone to an indy show before (unless ECW in Villa Park counts). I'm not even familiar with a lot of these wrestlers, which is why the results are so vague. I went to this show per your encouragement to support the indys. I enjoyed myself. I even brought a friend who doesn't watch wrestling. I can't go to the next show because it's the same day as my wedding anniversary, so he said he may go by himself!
I feel you man, I took a friend to an ROH show too and he was amazed and cant wait to go to the PWG show, ROH is good for anyone who appreciates hard work.

Yes ECW does count, so does TNA.

I was at the show, It was an awesome time. I split match of the night between Roderick Strong vs. Austin Aries and the main even Tyler Black vs Kevin Steen. Awesome matches all around but these were by far my favorites.

Nice try randon guest guy, but the wrestlers that botched the clothesline was trained by WWE. So therefore ROH > WWE.

To the first commenter/idiot, Cabana and Generico are both solid midcarders in ROH and have been getting good pushes and having great matches. They had one of the top HD matches in ROH history against Steen/Corino last week. The Wolves are stale as a team. Davey is good, but Eddie Edwards... hm...
- Looks like a pussy.
- Is either bad on the microphone and gets you read for bed, or is annoying.
- His underwear is poking out of his tights in every match
- He doesn't have great bod.
- He is, in-ring-wise, probably one of the worst regulars ROH has.
Why shouldn't Generico and Colt win? They're a good team, really over, and I guess you're one of those Wolves masturbators who blow gaskets every time they don't win a match. Shut up already!

HAHAHAHA Gen Me got jobbed out again! Fuck Matt and Nick, oops, I mean (X)Lax Fuck and Germy Fuck. These losers deserve what they get for signing with TNA to do nothing and sit at home when the indies could have used them as a top of the cards faces. Now they are getting back to ROH and getting a beating....I would love to see them tortured in a match versus the DCFC or maybe they can job in the preshow to Pee Wee and John Kermon or something in street fight! Get out of hear Gen Me (accurate name for these assholes), no one needs you!

if this motherfucker isn;t a fan of roh then he shoudln't even be at the show. let the real wrestling fans be at this show and this guy should stick to the wwe, power rangers and spongebob. the fucking j-broni didn't even know most of the names of the guys on the card! i guess maybe u-gene or slam master j should get braught in so you have someone to cheer!!! and you even took a guy who knows nothing even about wwe??? he must have asked you why everyone was in there underwear and what the ring was made of.

@3952:
So a guy decides to expand his mind to watch some REAL Pro wrestling... probably for the 1st time in his life, you and RAIL him because he's not "Isn't a fan of RoH and shouldn't even be at the show." And should "Stick to WWE, Power Rangers and Spongebob"?
Way to be a douchebag! If there aren't NEW fans, RoH will NOT grow!!!!!
Now I could throw some random insult at you, but I'll take the high road here.

So two guys go to an ROH show for the first time because they've heard good things and they enjoy themselves... and people still have to rag on them. You don't make it easy to support the genre do you?

I've been to all the ROH Chicago Ridge show except for 2 I think since they started running there. This was the best show that they have put on in a long time. The main even was bloody as hell and the crwod was hot the entire night.
