ROH President Talks About Booker Changes
ROH President Cary Silkin spoke to PWInsider earlier today about the decision to remove Adam Pearce as ROH’s booker.
“We thank Adam for everything he brought to the table, but I decided to make a change. There were no problems between us. There was no blow-up and it’s entirely possible he will return down the line either in front of the camera or in another backstage role.”
Silkin also confirmed that Hunter “Delirious” Johnston would now be taking over as head booker starting with Friday’s ROH On HDNet TV tapings. Pearce won’t be at the tapings. Silkin also confirmed that Jim Cornette would continue to have influence on the TV product, adding that the company is currently in a fixed direction so massive changes aren’t likely.
“Adam did a good job and I believe Hunter will do the same.”
