Edge To Star in Next WWE Films Project
Posted by Chris Lansdell on 08.24.2010

Deadline reports that Adam "Edge" Copeland will be featured in the next WWE Films project, titled Bending the Rules.

Copeland will star opposite Jamie Kennedy, playing a dirty cop who is charged with corruption. Kennedy will play the DA who wants to take the cop down. Production has already started in New Orleans.

Jessica Walter (Arrested Development), Jennifer Esposito (Rescue Me, Crash), Alicia Witt, and Phillip Baker Hall are also attached to the project.

If this is a drama, Jamie Kennedy can't pull it off. If this is a comedy, Jamie Kennedy can't pull it off.

"Bending the Rules"? Really? Jamie Kennedy? Really?!? Poor Edge. He probably could make a decent little direct-to-DVD movie, but this doesn't sound destined for success.

On this day, I see clearly, This is straight to DVD ...

Sounds kinda lame, but Alicia Witt is pretty hot.

Unlike most WWE movies this movie actually sounds like it has potential to be great.

Edge? It should be the wrestling bear!

Will it be Rated R?

Chief: I've had enough of this! You're a dirty cop!

Edge: Eat it and beat it, Chief.

^ Now that's logic. No bullshit, I'm being sincere. Jamie Kennedy is an ugly talentless cock.

"Kennedy will play the DA who wants to take the cop down."

...hey Dixie, I have a great idea for the main event of the next pay per view!

Will edge be cutting his hair for this?

Posted By: The Wrestling God (Guest)  on August 25, 2010 at 02:06 AM

I thought it was supposed to be about a lawyer looking for his stolen car

Hair cut?

Posted By: Guest#6665 (Guest)  on August 25, 2010 at 04:27 AM

I'm wondering if Edge will have to cut his hair for the role. It's hard to convincingly play a cop with long hair.

Posted By: Keith (Guest)  on August 25, 2010 at 04:37 AM

This is all obviously a plot by Triple H to get Edge to cut his hair.

There can only be one superstar with long flowing blonde locks in the E.

I honestly think this will beat Avatar..

Jamie Kennedy? Really? Direct to video?

I expect WWE films to fold next year.

Excitement for seeing Edge will be in a film? Very high. Excitement after clicking link and seeing Jamie Kennedy is the co-star? Gone.

Posted By: DB (Guest)  on August 25, 2010 at 01:20 PM

God this sounds stereotypical. The only funny thing Kenney did was Malibu's Most Wanted.

Will it be rated R? Hardy har har har.

He already has a beard, so he's perfect as teh dirty cop. 3 to 1 odds there;ll be a spear in the movie.
