August 31, 2010 | Posted by Larry Csonka

– The August 28th edition of Lucha Libre USA scored a 0.05 rating and 45,000 viewers. The show aired on a Saturday as opposed to the usual Friday night time slot.

– Lucha Libre USA managing director Steve Ship has confirmed that the current run of the show is finished on MTV2. The plan was always to do seasons of the show, like other MTV properties, and the 52-week agreement that they signed was not for 52 straight weeks.

– The September 9th event in Corpus Christi, Texas at Whataburger Field as well as other events scheduled will take place as planed. Content will be filmed at these events and used for the LLUSA website and MTV2’s website.

– The footage filmed in Charlotte over the weekend will be used as online content.

– For the next season of the show, they will tape from one location, ala TNA Impact, but that location has not been announced yet.

– Ratings for the series were what MTV expected them to be.
