Kane Says He's at the Peak of His Career
Posted by Steve Cook on 09.02.2010

World Heavyweight Champion Kane did an interview with the Baltimore Sun's Kevin Eck where he talked about the state of his career and how he feels he's at his peak:

"I'm still having fun...I'm really at the height of my career, and I don't have any plans of packing it in, at least not in the near future."

He also talked about how WWE Superstars are overlooked by the general public as performers...

"Honestly, I think we in the WWE are very underrated as performers...What we do would be very difficult for even an experienced actor. To go out and sometimes have 15 minutes of verbiage, sometimes have to ad-lib and then, of course, have other variables such as the interaction with the audience, it can be challenging."

well, he doesn't appear to be slowed by injuries and he's really been in a holding pattern for the past decade, so he's relatively fresh physically.

WWE should take the opportunity to build a new long-term monster.

He's finally getting his dues, about time.

Did his time as Issac Yankem mean nothing to him?

Kane is so right

Kane has never and will never be worth watching in the ring or on the mic. It's a shame they put a title with a history of so many great champions(Flair, Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Sting) on a guy who does like 6 moves. Kane should be nothing more than a jobber relegated to SuperStars.

Kane is absolutely at the peak of his career.

You go, Kane Coco!

It's about time WWE realizes what a talent they have and marketable FIRE is.

While reading, sub Kane's voice and some halloween background music.

See Fatt Hardy, even guys who seem hopeless that go throught humiliating crap like this guy has will get there way

I thought Kane was ready to pack it in a few years ago. Good thing he stuck around. He's not my favorite World Champion but damnit if he doesn't deserve some sort of recognition.

Obviously you guys never seen Kane land a f'n hurricaranna before or you guys would forever be fans. It was amazing.

So, let me get this straight. Everyone in TNA is "too old", yet Kane saying he's going to be wrestling is "great for business" and "about time he gets his dues"...

Even though Kane is older than 90% of the TNA roster, including Jeff Jarrett (who is several months younger than Kane) and ALL of the ex-ECW roster.

You guys are fucking idiots.

Ah, yes. Such esteemed champions as Ronnie Garvin, Sid Vicious, David Arquette and Vince Russo. A veritable list of greats. Kane is certainly not in their class.

Kane has worked so hard to get to this point in his career, so I'm glad he's enjoying the hell out of his World Heavyweight title run.

Kane is great.

Actually his peak was when he took the mask off. And man they blew it really bad. He was so hated at that point. Just like they blew it with Carlito and Finlay.

LOL! I guess so! Hes personally said in the past that he didnt want the title...but I guess now thats a good thing, his character would have been(more) stale with him and Undertaker playing catch with the title all this time.

Most guys in the WWE only have 6 moves (or less).

It's funny how people bash TNA for having guys like Kevin Nash when WWE has guys like the Undertaker and Kane.

You newbies are ignorant and shallow. Plain and simple.

See the thing that makes WWE different from TNA (besides the usual, ya know, marketability, homegrown stars, fresh faces, interesting feuds, KNOWING HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS) is that WWE's roster isn't made up of a bunch of old wrestlers over the age of 40. 80% of TNA's roster is near or over the age of 40 and is just a re-hash of WCW. WWE has maybe several wrestlers on the ACTIVE roster over the age of 40. I may not like the product that WWE always puts out, but at least I know I won't be treated to WCW circa 1999.

REALLY!!!! REALLY!!!!
Kevin Nash hasnt wrestled a decent match since he broke "The Giants" neck back in 96'.

Undertaker and Shawn Michaels ACTUALLY have had MOTY @ YEARS IN A ROW!!!

Kevin Nash has had 342,345 knee surgeries!

You Total Nonsense Acobatics "fans" are SHEEP!

Yeah they should put it on John Cena, a guy with 5 moves, 2 of which are a shoulder tackle and a fist drop.

I'm not saying Taker and Kane are my favorites or anything, but if you don't know the difference- from a workrate perspective- between Taker, Kane and Nash- you must have never seen a Kevin Nash match.

Taker may be past his prime, and Nash may be one of the wittiest guys on the mic, but it's been a solid 20 years since I saw a Nash match that wasn't bowling shoe ugly.

There's no way Kane is better now than he was in 97/98, when he was much more agile for his size and tombstoning Vader FFS.

Kanes at the peak of his career?
Put down the crack pipe, the peak of his career was 2001/02.
Kane hasnt done anything entertaining in years, the Taker feud won't be any better than the last 3 times they've feuded and the only reason he got the belt was so he can drop it to The Deadman.

Your totally right man, after watching Sting and Jarrett stumble around the ring on Impact I'd much rather see those guys in the ring than Kane, who had some respectable matches with Mysterio in the last few weeks.

"Your totally right man, after watching Sting and Jarrett stumble around the ring on Impact I'd much rather see those guys in the ring than Kane, who had some respectable matches with Mysterio in the last few weeks."

Wow, YOU'RE a dumbass.

Sting = 51
Rey = 36

So, if you're making comparisons, you should either compare UT/Kane or Jarrett/AJ.

So, no, Kane isn't young enough or good enough to be at the "peak" of his career. And anyone bitching at TNA for having "old" guys at top is an idiot when WWE has guys the exact same age.

You're a moron! I loved all the great champs of the past too but it's a different business now with title changes happening every two months. Get over it! Also, enough complaining about "6 move" wrestlers, especially the big men. BIg men don't need to do a fucking moonsault, huracanrana (which Kane has done actually, amazing for his size), or a gay ass 619! Punch, kick, big boot, chokeslam, tombstone is alll ne needs to be BELIEVABLE! Also, his promo explaining his attach ok Taker was GOLD!! He's a loyal company man and you never heard about his ego anywhere. He's on of the good guys in the business and deserves the recogniton right now. Kudos to Glen Jacobs!
