Well when WWE throws meaningless "main event" pushes around to the likes of Jack Swagger and Sheamus, and you've been there for pretty much 11+ years now, and managed to stay somewhat relevant despite a rather large lack of direction, chances are they don't appreciate you.
I said it at the time in 2005 and I'll say it again, Matt Hardy should have gone to TNA.

Right now Matt is rightfully mid-level enhancement talent. Maybe he could have been made a main event level star during the whole Edge/Lita thing. Matt was certainly unable to sustain anything after his feud with Jeff.
Matt just does not have the charisma to get over on any push. He needed the right one. Has Matt had a lot of pushes? Not for the amount of time he has been with WWE. But Matt has also been unable to make the most of the pushes he has had.
Got to jump on opportunity when it is there.
It is unfair to call Matt Jeff's Jannetty though. Jannetty had some poorly timed injuries and drug busts. He could have been somebody.

Matt, just leave the WWE, they don't know how to treat any of their actual talented wrestlers. You'd be better off in TNA. On a personal note, I can't wait until Jeff goes to jail. People always talk about him being the superior Hardy brother, but his wrestling skills have never been anything but mediocre. On top of all of that, everything he does just looks sloppy as hell. Matt is the superior wrestler, and he has never gotten the respect he deserves from anyone anywhere.

Dude has a point. He’s a better wrestler than The Miz or Drew McIntyre. He loves wrestling enough to fall off a ladder out of the ring BACKWARDS into a stack of tables. He came back to the wwe after they fired his ass for being a victim.
The fat jokes are funny for the most part. Like the one where he ran from the cops only because the ice cream truck drove by. That was funny and I laughed for a good 5 minutes. He has gained weight, that’s for sure, but I don’t think it’s fat weight.
I’m fairly sure creative has “nothing for him” and he will be released soon. And it’s a damn shame seeing how much he’s given the wwe. He may have never “drew a dime” whatever the hell that means anymore, but he’s worked his ass off.

WWE has gotten keen on using twitter etc as a way to bring a bit of realism to its on screen storylines.
The "change" is that Matt is going to turn heel pure and simple.
Y'all probably think Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson was real and the WWE changed their minds a couple of days before Summerslam wheras his *ahem* "firing" was never real in the first place. They ALWAYS planned to bring him back a Summerslam.

He complains and whines backstage constantly.
What does a person with those attributes get? Shit. That's because they are shit. Matt Hardy was never talented, I said it before when it wasn't the popular opinion, but his brother was the only reason he got over. Jeff did his spots, tagged Matt to rest, then came back in for more.
As a singles wrestler his career is a joke. He has had some pathetic matches and an SL designed to make him a main event talent failed miserably because he couldn't talk and he couldn't wrestle (and Edge could, which is probably one reason Lita left him) and ended up being a nobody. Sure, he gets a decent pop by a few 300 lb 12 year old girls but ultimately, does he draw money? No. Does he draw fans that wouldn't normally go to the events? No. He's nothing.

Matt should just learn to STFU. Yes, he's been around for a decade, and yes the Hardys helped revolutionise the tag division with E&C, BUT, Matt's in ring work has always been average at best. Solid, but average. Despite this, the WWE have featured him in pretty much every Mania he's been in the company for, given him countless tag title reigns, a european title reign, cruiserweight title reign (both reigns were when the titles meant something aswell), 2 US title reigns, and an ECW title reign and multiple main-event level feuds despite being out of shape and past his prime. Dammit Matt!

Clearly Matt Hardy isn't the same guy from the early 2000s and even 2008. But to suggest the guy didn't draw a dime is ridiculous. Let's not forget that the Hardys/E&C/Dudleys were top draws on a lot of shows during the WWE's best run. Also, despite him not being in good physical condition, Hardy is pretty over with the fans. With all of WWE's constant "the fans choose the direction" blatherings, surely there can be a role for someone as over as Hardy.

The only reason the WWE brought him back was because of his brother. The thing that cracks me up is just a few short months ago, a drunken Matt hardy stated that this will be his year and he will be in the best shape of his life via self videorecording in a hot tub. Oh Matt, hang it up bro. Crying will not do anything to help your situation. I get it, you feel underused and looked over and blah blah blah.... Fact is bro, since tag team wrestling died, your career went with it. You are a no longer a character people believe in nor want to see do anything meaningful. If I were you, I'd use your twitter to bang bitches and get Indy work.

What exactly is it that Matt Hardy has earned? He's never drawn a dime much less a penny in his whole career. The only reason the audience even cheers for him is because he's the brother of Jeff Hardy. If you want people to respect you Matt, put the fucking donut down and go work out.

If you said any of that to his face he would knock you out. He has earned the right to be respected because he's a veteran. Just like all the veterans who deserve respect. And is he not getting the respect he deserves because he's not Jeff Hardy or is it because you think he's fat and eat donuts? Do you really think that he shouldn't be respected just because you want to believe he is fat? Oh, and the Hardy's did draw money when they tagged together. They were popular. Remember? Matt by himself has drawn more money than you ever will.

Exactly. The IWC makes fun of Matt's internet presence and his weight, but don't stop to think how obviously ironic it is because they are the internet too and I would be willing to bet a lot of cash that 99 percent of them are in nowhere near the shape it takes to be a professional wrestler. Taking bumps, getting hurt, traveling, living out of a suitcase, eating at restaurants instead of having home-cooked meals, dealing with rental cars and airports and fans clamoring around them wanting autographs. None of the high and mighty smarks who hate on him could do it.

You know Black Scorpion, you can say the moon is made of cheese 99 times, but you'll still be just as wrong the 100th time as you were the first. You have no evidence to back up any of what you say. He moves merch, is respected by his peers and real wrestling fans for his in-ring talent, gets pops from the crowd and is a company man. These are all facts. Even the company man part, because someone who wasn't wouldn't have put up with so much and put his body through so much for so long. Literally every thing you said is not only wrong, but the exact opposite of reality. You can keep saying it all you want, but all of what you said is bullshit, simple as that. You are wrong, now deal with it.

Well when WWE throws meaningless "main event" pushes around to the likes of Jack Swagger and Sheamus, and you've been there for pretty much 11+ years now, and managed to stay somewhat relevant despite a rather large lack of direction, chances are they don't appreciate you.
I said it at the time in 2005 and I'll say it again, Matt Hardy should have gone to TNA.
