Various News: Aloisia Update, Impact Tapings, Locals on Smackdown & More
Posted by Steve Cook on 09.04.2010

- Nothing official has been made public about Aloisia's firing by Vickie Guerrero, but it is believed that WWE higher-ups decided that she was just too green to put on television. She will likely be training with FCW.

- El Olimpico was forced to unmask after losing a thirteen-man cage match at CMLL's Anniversary Show last night in Mexico City. He is Joel Bernal Galicia, a forty-four year old with nineteen years in pro wrestling.

- Karl Stern has a response to Raven's blog post against the dirt sheets here.

- TNA will be taping Impact episodes on October 11 & 12, so their live episode on October 7 is a one shot deal. They also changed their website to reflect that London Brawling is facing the Motor City Machine Guns at No Surrender, not Generation Me as they were originally saying.

- Tony DelFonzo, Bobby Robinson, Biff Busick and Brandon Locke were the local wrestlers that appeared on Smackdown last night.

Karl Stren is AWESOME. Can I get a list of places he shops so I can dress like him.

Seriously this guy is a HERO. We shouldnt even watch wrestling anymore, we should just listen to him tell us stories of how wreslting matches should happen. He is a god among men. I want to be just like him.

COOL STORY BRO!

13 people in a cage match? TNA must be jealous.

so how fast can WWE sign Kong?

i'd say Aloisia being pulled was for the best. we don't need a Great Khali clone running around, train her for a year in FCW, bring her up to the roster as either a body guard or a diva, and let it happen naturally.

Finally, a sensical from you guys news report about this "firing".

Don't report storylines like they are news. Vicki's only authority is as a character.

The live Impact is just another "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" move out of desperation.

They'll have Mickie James debut and some PPV-level matches, and then wonder why nobody buys the actual PPVs.

So you hyped her on TV only relies she needs more work and pulled her back for some training? Why the hell didn't you simpply send her there to begin with?

Karl Stern should rename his blog to "Butthurt Am I".

There were plenty of guys in season 1 and 2 of NXT that looked like they could improve in the ring. How did they make it to TV when a legitimate spectacle like Aloisa won't have the opportunity?

Posted By: Brian (Guest)  on September 04, 2010 at 03:58 PM

Clearly Dixie doesn't want Carlitos's debut ruined by spoilers.

Dang, they're right. That was Tony DelFonzo and Brandon Locke(NECW champ) in the opening bit with Alberto del Rio

Chairshots were around for years and shouldn't be banned....the idiots who won't put their hands up to block and have no clue how to pull it should be blackballed. Let's all thank Mick Foley for introducing unprotected chair shots to the head...thanks Mick!

will RVD be a part of this one-shot deal on Oct. 7th?

Posted By: faceman802 (Guest)  on September 04, 2010 at 06:22 PM

Off the top of my head the only other FCW Diva besides Aloisa now is Ricki Vaughn who has been there maybe a month now?

Chris Jericho looks like Steve Zahn.

One hand you have an over 7 foot HINDU INDIAN male, the other hand you have a 6 foot 9 BLONDE WHITE FEmale. The similarities STAGGER the mind.

Tard.

Sounds to me like yet another pissing contest between a wrestler and a wrestling journalist. Its a storyline as old as wrestling storylines. Raven has his points as does Mr. Stern.

This is actually good news for Aloisia. When she's able to finally debut on WWE with decent skills, and with her size, she'll be Unified Womens Champion till the next millennium.

A thirteen man cage match! Why didn't I think of this first?

Agreed. Foley's always been overrated. Like Flair once said...nothing more than a glorified stuntman. I wish TNA would just fire the bum already.

-----------------
Yes, he is pretty good isn't he? (NECW does have alot better talent than say BTW) Personally I find Iron Ray Keijimura has a hell of a personality. (Never thought he'd win me over)

god how the fuck can you be "too green" to be a WWE diva?! WOW.

Posted By: Guest#9270 (Guest)  on September 05, 2010 at 01:44 AM

At her size I don't know if she can even safely work with the WWE Divas. They are mostly very frail. If she pins them their fake boobs will pop.

Actually, in heels, she is probably taller than everyone except maybe Big Show and Great Khali. 6'9 is ridiculous for anybody, and for a woman it's just crazy. I say put her, Big Show and Khali in a stable. If we're lucky she has great mic skills.

Chairshots to the head in the WWE are not banned themselves.

UNprotected chairshots to the head are banned in the WWE.

big difference.

not that i would expect to see either again, but there isn't a rule against a protected chairshot. that is just more IWC hyperbole.

Posted By: Guest#3471 (Guest)  on September 05, 2010 at 03:11 AM

It's a good idea but if she's too green, then what are half the Divas doing in matches on TV? If they were valets fine, but so many of them have no business to be wrestling matches in front of large audiences. At least not until they've been properly trained.

Posted By: Guest#9452 (Guest)  on September 05, 2010 at 04:58 AM

Got to love the people who think it's real and that she's 'green'. I've seen many people saying they wont watch this season of Nxt, yet we all know that the minute Kong shows up and this feud between the two begins, you'll all be praising it and saying it's the greatest women's feud ever. Looking forward to it.

It might well be true that hard bumping does cause more concussions than chair shots but that doesn't make chair shots safer.
---------------------------------
Wow, I wonder if people even think about what they write anymore. (Umm, pretty much if it's causing more injuries, which admittedly hasn't been proven one way or another, then the thing causing more injuries is more dangerous.)

Posted By: NotSoHeavyD2 (Guest)  on September 05, 2010 at 10:22 AM

According to Raven, chairshots done just loud enough to be heard aren't painful, and are safer than many high spots and moves performed in the ring. I would think he would know over some internet writer that never stepped into the ring.

" I would think he would know over some internet writer that never stepped into the ring."

I'm sure Mr. Stern has been in the ring on many an occassion... to have a $5.00 Polaroids made with the likes of Recless Youth and 'Mad Dog" D.C. Drake.
