UPDATEDx2: Mick Foley tweeted the following on his encounter with Ric Flair tonight:
"Flair and Foley - a one on one verbal showdown in the Impact Zone. Tonight! Tell your friends. The showdown takes place in the Zone, but will be aired on 9/30. I will try to make it worth waiting for."
"Quote me on this - "Tonight's promo with Ric Flair (air date 9/30) was one of the greatest moments of my career."
UPDATED: Pwinsider.com reports that the match will be a last man standing match.
ORIGINAL: According to PWTorch, the main match for the live episode of TNA Impact on October 7th is set to be Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair. At this time, Foley is not scheduled to be part of the Lethal Lockdown match between EV2 and Fortune at Bound For Glory.

Great match: two people who are "retired" going at it. Seriously, what was the explanation of Mick Foley returning to TNA despite losing that match against Jeff Jarrett earlier this year saying he'd quit if he lost?
Hate WWE all you want, but most of the time they at least give an explanation for why they make random spur of the moment decisions or have a reason why a "fired" or "retired" employee is returning.

I'm a WWE fan but I'd still rather watch Flair in the ring than AJ or the spotmonkey MCMG's. I'll pay to watch Flair,in spite of Foley's overrated ass. Flair is 60 or so but he can still entertain. The age argument is overrated and flawed. He still has the "it" factor that your young faves never will. Get over it loser.

I can't believe there are people who actually want to see this match. It was barely tolerable in the WWE in 2006. Since then, Ric Flair has grown a pair of man tits and Foley is even more broken down than he was then. This is going to be a sad fucking thing to see.
