WWE News: More Survivor Series Notes, Creative Team Purge

– Several other WWE writers were let go last week in addition to Christopher DeJoseph. It is said that an additional 2-4 writers were released because management was unhappy with the financial results of the last quarter and they want to bring in “fresh blood with new ideas.”

– Dolph Ziggler was checked out for a concussion after his Survivor Series match with Kaval after having his bell rung by a kick. It’s believed that he is fine.

– Paul Bearer was backstage last night, but wasn’t used so they can continue the kidnapping storyline.

– The announcers were kept in the dark as to the finish of the main event last night, which helped lead to Matt Striker blowing the call at the end of the match and shouting “John Cena is Free!”

– Miz’s promo last night was not only to get heat from the crowd, but to plant the seeds for something down the line. LeBrom James has been discussed internally as an idea for a celebrity at WrestleMania or a Raw guest host down the line.

– There were no plans for Miz to use his Money in the Bank shot last night, though the company wanted fans to think he would to build buzz.

– David Arquette got along very well with all the talent last night and was said to have been fun to be around. He was very familiar with all the talent from the main eventers to the lower card talent and knew every storyline.

– CM Punk was backstage last night and is expected to do more announcing work this week

– Rey Mysterio’s inner ear infection is doing better.
