More Royal Rumble Updates (SPOILERS)
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 01.30.2011
Who else is being brought in?
- Booker T arrived in Boston last night. Check out this photo of him arriving:
- Christian has been brought in for the show as well. There is no word on whether he'll be in the Rumble, but he was brought in by the company for the show and reportedly is not wearing a sling on his arm.
- Hacksaw Jim Duggan has a non-WWE booking in the area and is expected to be at the show.
Right after the photo was taken, Booker did a spinaroonie on the luggage carousel, grabbed his bags, and left the airport, shouting, "Can you dig it, sucka!"

I don't care what you haters think. Booka, Big Sexy, Christian, maybe Trips too? I'm actually excited about wrestling for the first time in a while. Should be a fun night!

I would laugh my ass off if Booker and Nash are in the Rumble and not just one-off appearences. Totally screws up the resurrection of the Main Event Mafia.

good Booker T didn't bring sharmel.
Posted By: Guest#2706 (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 01:22 PM
Maybe its because I'm looking at this from my phone, but Booker T looks about 75lbs lighter with a grey Hogan-like handlebar mustache.

Obviously, I'm a huge Booker guy. Glad he is out of tna. He is more of an asset as a trainer sort. I'm actually looking forward to the rumble. Hopefully wm27 looks good.

Funny. Cue all the WWE-tards claiming this is awesome, even though they have been complaining for years about TNA's older talent including Booker T and Kevin Nash. But because its WWE, it's acceptable. THIS is why WWE fans are so damn annoying.

with Booker's wrestling school in texas and stone cold hosting i could see booker taking a part as a trainer on tough enough, maybe even nash as part of the show. . . both those guys, and austin, have a good grasp of the buisness and would certainly help the show's ratings
i really don't see wwe using fcw staff or facilities for the show, maybe, but using booker's school and fed would make some sense
Posted By: guesticles (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 02:15 PM
and if nash and booker returned to tna everyone wud be crapping all over this. i dont get you idiots

I can't speak for anyone else but I've always liked Booker T. Even his TNA work was solid. Now Nash? Nash I don't care for. But there's a huge difference between if he's being brought in for a one shot deal or to make some of the younger talent look good.
Now, if Nash is being brought to the WWE to content for titles in major feuds ala him versus Foley for the Legends belt or even him versus Hunter for the World title then yes, that sucks.
If I were you I wouldn't make the mistake of painting everyone with a broad stroke because I've got news for you: by posting here you are part of the IWC.

This is cool, Nash (my guess is he comes out to the "horn sounding diesel music). but i cant look at it the same after rock made fun of it a few yrs ago with his..."beep, beep" comment.
Booket T- heh, same ol, same ol. Not to much of a suprise.
But to see sting come out in the rumble...
Now that would be a suprise! it could still happen, who knows?

Posted By: Guest#8872 (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 03:08 PM
It's simple, TNA is terrible. No matter who they bring, it will suck. They could bring in The Rock and Stone Cold on the same night and they would still manage to make face palm worthy. WWE knows how to handle things.
Posted By: lol (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 03:08 PM
Booker was godawful in TNA, but the difference is in WWE he'll have to try harder or they won't put up with his garbage like TNA did for years. Nash is useless, either way.
Posted By: ryan (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 03:25 PM
Booker T has always been entertaining. I'm glad they're bringing him in, hopefully this isn't a one shot deal. I wouldn't mind seeing him on Smackdown.

No it's true. And to all you TNA marks, Booker T and Nash is just gonna be in the rumble and that's it. And then they will be used for backstage roles unlike TNA who uses them as main event stars. WWE actually pushes the young stars more unlike TNA.

Posted By: Nash (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 04:06 PM
the reason booker T and Nash don't work and are extra baggage in TNA is because they are older men pushed at the top of the card and have not brought anything really to the table in terms of growth....... the WWE is the place where they have a history, and while can be pushed at the top because of their name (name value can matter when you have over a 1.1 rating) and because of the size of the audiance them putting over younger talent even in main event spots does more to put that talent over then it would in TNA.....
Posted By: just saying (guest) (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 04:16 PM
I will be happy if this is a one shot deal and/or if they come back as managers or commentators, but if they are main event that blows chunks,I don't see that happening Vinnie Mac is too savvy to do that,I think its WCW HOF related
Posted By: The Reaper (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 04:21 PM

Meanwhile, this had better be a one-shot deal... I haven't liked Booker since his Harlem Heat days, and Nash, yeah, I have a soft spot for the Coach, but he's not really in the best condition these days, he might break a hip if he gets tossed over the top rope
Posted By: Guest#2714 (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 04:23 PM
Tna fans are so dumb. Wwe brings in these guys as special attraction..not to hold any titles. Bret would be the exception winning the us title. Its all just fun, unlike Mick Foley winning the title or hall and waltman holding the tag titles.

Look I don't 100 percent agree with the hate on this, but sirlaz187 is correct. If they work for TNA, their rejects. If they come back to WWE, then they're lauded as heroes as they make their triumphant return to the WWE. Personally, the vitrol/hate from the IWC sucks. Regardless of where they go, if you like a wrestler, stick with 'em and support them wherever they are.

....My god having Kevin Nash and Booker T beat up Michael Cole and do commentary would be the shit! Without hyperbole, i believe that to be the greatest idea ever!
And if some of you pricks would stop and think for a moment...nobody ever calls Kurt Angle a WWE Reject. They didn't call Christian a WWE Reject. It's about the quality of their appearances. Hell, i'm even allright with Flair being there as a manager. Booker T would have been allright too if he didn't fight Robert Roode for 9 months straight.
Posted By: the danger stranger (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 05:50 PM
I wonder is WWE knew that TNA wanted to bring back MEM and just signed booker and nash just to screw up the plans. I don't know what they were thinking outside of signing them for induction to the hall of fame being in atlanta and all, but it works out good for TNA in the long run. They don't need nash and booker burying talent, now they can rebuild a stable out of some MEM members with some newer guys (even though basically all the TNA originals are in fourtune)

Rejects? So.. are you saying TNA picked up WWE Rejects to generate ratings? YES. WWE does this from time to time if nobody has noticed. I mean hell, the one year Rick Martel was in the Rumble and who would actually think he'd win? WWE does if for the fun. I'd pay to see Nash back in WWE with an event like the Royal Rumble.

Everyone knows HHH is taking this so ultimately who cares who they are bringing in for the night and if Nash is actually signed beyond tonight WTF??!! Booker T can still go so that wouldn't be that bad of signing but Nash? Let's keep the washed up dinosaurs and WWE castaways in the company no one gives a shit about please.
Posted By: Guest#4329 (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 07:12 PM
Since nobody brought it up, hopefully Christian being there without a sling means he enters the rumble and so he don't get re-injured when thrown over the top, he wins the rumble...probably won't happen but I'm hoping for it. Even if it meant Edge vs Christian at mania I woldnt care.

Posted By: Tourman (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 08:28 PM
Having 40 guys in the Rumble isn't so bad if it gives Booker and Nash an appearance, and Christian a comeback stage.
Posted By: Guest#2857 (Guest) on January 30, 2011 at 08:43 PM
the WWE are gonna keep Nash and Booker around till after Mania, so they can do a WCW style ending. then, those 2 can ride to the WWC in peace. as for them in the rumble, they both got tossed rather quickly. Edge using Christian's finisher......a good thing. No Trips.....bad deal, but, they're gonna wait a while longer and reveal him as the RAW GM. Taker's not gonna be back till possibly around Mania Time. Wade vs Taker at Mania 27. Evan Bourne......hahahahahahaha. and for those that say TNA isn't as good as WWE, look how long it took WWE to get as big as they are........TNA's only been around for what, 8 1/2 years?? it took WWE over 40 years to get to the high point. so, TNA has time to build, and to get to be a top draw promotion. i'm glad though, that they're not doing a MEM reunion in TNA. they already have that same deal going on with Immortal and Fortune. They are gonna be Crimson, Angle, Steiner, RVD, and MISTERRRRRRRRRRRRR ANDERSONNNNNNNNNNNNN
Duggan = not in as a mystery star. Sting.......hahaha. 48 years old with blown knees. why not?? WWE would push him to the brink of fakeness, even more fake than TNA, and they'd kill his career like they did Goldberg's. Next PPV surprise......Jericho returns, Batista Returns(after a failed MMA attempt), and they get put into the elimination chambers for raw and sd.
TNA is so much better than WWE. why?? they're not as fake, they let their wrestlers actually get bloody, and they don't run the same matches every week. deal with that. i mean come on. Kofi vs Ziggler for over 2 months, with no special stipulations........waste of tv time, WWE. plus, how is it that WWE's losing talent, due to cost cutting, and TNA seems to pick most of that talent up?? answer that all of you TNA HATERS. TNA does push a lot of the younger talent, unlike WWE. how can you say they don't, when in 2 weeks of being in the company, Robbie E. gets the X title?? how's that when 2 x division guys are the tag champs for 6 months?? and where's wwe's talent being pushed, other than Nexus and Corre?? in the mid-card area, or lower card, which they use on Superstars only, or make them lose weekly on smackdown. how's losing every week a push??
nash didn't accept TNA's offer, and Booker......broke and looking for a paycheck. his school's all he has going on, and maybe 4 students(lmao. idk for sure).
Hey WWE fakers. you can keep Nash and Booker. TNA has not only the Hardy's, but they have the only man that has held both the ECW and WWE titles at the same time......RVD. plus, TNA also has the best tag team of all time(most tag title eins ever) in the Dudley's(even though they're split now). TNA also has the Natche, so WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. and they also have a lot of the better released WWE talent, like Mickie James and Victoria. TNA WINS

NFL and UFC might be doing better than WWE in America, but WWE is doing more better than UFC and NFL all over the world.

Not really bro... NFL barely exists outside the states and is usually on a recap show for an hour at like 3am, drawing no ratings. UFC pounds them...
WWE does well in most countries but TNA and UFC do better numbers in the UK, i'm its the same in some others.
