About 5,000 people attended the WWE’s return to the Assembly Hall in Champaign, Illinois. This was looked at as a solid crowd since the vast majority of college students were out of town for Spring Break.

• The Miz interrupted the National Anthem and cut a long promo, calling out Randy Orton.

• Randy Orton vs. The Miz for the WWE Championship – The Miz retained the belt after CM Punk ran in and attacked Randy Orton. After the match, the GM texted Justin Roberts, who announced a tag team match to close the show: Randy Orton & John Cena vs. CM Punk & The Miz.

• Tyson Kidd & The Usos vs. Santino Marella, Vladimir Koslov & Evan Bourne – This match was “surprisingly long, but generally entertaining.” Evan got the pin on one of the Usos at 11:56 after hitting the Air Bourne Shooting Star Press.

• Zack Ryder vs. The Great Khali – After Ryder spent time running down Champaign and the ladies of the town, he challenged anyone in the back to a match. The Great Khali came out, gave him a quick chop and pinned him in only 22 seconds.

• Primo Colon vs. Sin Cara in his WWE debut – Most of Sin Cara’s trademark spots were seen, including the Corkscrew Plancha, the Springboard Rana, the Spinning Flying Head Scissors and the running headfirst dive between the ropes. Sin Cara got the submission win at 11:12, after he reversed a power bomb into La Mistica.

• Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison – John Morrison won the match at 10:04 after blocking the Zig Zag and hitting the Starship Pain.

• R-Truth was the emcee to a dance contest between four fans. A kid in a John Cena shirt was the winner.

• Eve Torres & Natalya Neidhart vs. Alicia Fox & Melina – Eve got the win after pinning Melina with a neckbreaker at 12:07.

• Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE US Championship – Sheamus got the win at 13:20 after using a chair to knock out Bryan, who tried to dive at Sheamus through the ropes. The match was said to be very good, and Bryan was really over with the crowd.

• John Cena & Randy Orton vs. CM Punk & The Miz – Cena & Orton won the match at 16:51 after Orton hit the RKO on Miz and Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Punk at the same time. This was said to be a really good main event, and the crowd was into it from the start.
