TNA News: Update On Jeff Hardy, TNA Films Not Likely, New OnDemand Update, More
Posted by Larry Csonka on 04.08.2011

- While Kurt Angle had teased the idea of a "TNA Films" division, there has been no discussion internally about any such projects, and at this time, there are no plans for such a venture.

- There has been no discussion internally about Jeff Hardy, as it has been said that he has "dropped off the internal radar." According to sources, the last time someone dropped off like this was Jeff Jarrett, back when he was on hiatus from the company, due to the heat between he and Kurt Angle.

- The first several TNA weekly PPVs from the Asylum era are now available at www.TNAOnDemand.com.

- On June 24th, TNA returns to the Expo Center at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

- On July 23rd, TNA runs at the Delaware State Fair. Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett, Mr. Anderson and Matt Hardy are scheduled to appear.

They could make this into a comedy angle announcing the "TNA Films" division but it's only Eric Young with a video camera.

Man, forget TNA. Jeff Hardy should go back home to the WWE, we miss him!!!

So I guess this show will just like Impact. A show to showcase mostly the former WWE stars.

It is just as well that TNA don't try to make movies. Since their movies would have mostly likely be straight to the 99 cent bin at the local grocery store.

I wish WWE would drop their films division. And I still don't get why they want to drop the "Wrestling" part from their name, seriously its all they are decent at.

Can anyone on this site honestly say they enjoy the "entertainment" part of WWE? The lame attempts at comedy & cheesy action films, all the pointless backstage segments, anytime anyone gives a 20 minute promo, ect...

Posted By: SilentOx (Guest)  on April 08, 2011 at 10:49 AM

You know who enjoys the "entertainment" part of WWE? Those WHO DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY. That is the problem with most of the IWC. People take wrestling way too seriously and it was never meant to be taken that seriously.

People are going to have heart attacks whining and crying so much over something that was never meant to be taken seriously in the first place.

HA HA! maybe YOU miss him, but as a whole, the world doesnt miss Jeff Hardy...he was OK in WWE, but did absolutely NOTHING in TNA, other then come out messed up and risk killing the people he worked with. WWE will NEVER...EEEEEEEVER take Jeff Hardy back, and if TNA is ever going to be smart about anything, then neither will they. so once again, HA HA!

TNA failed with the movie project before it even started. goes to show you that copying WWE is wrong, TNA.

'You know who enjoys the "entertainment" part of WWE? Those WHO DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY'
---------------

Correct answer? Those who have only been with the company for the last 3 years and are under the age of 12. Wrestling was never meant to be taken 'seriously', but at the same time, it was never meant to be a joke. Watch Wrestlemania 28 and see the Snoop segment and my point is proven.

WWE as it was meant to be? The Attitude Era, plain and simple was Vinny's company at its prime. It had the stars, it had the storylines, it had the matches and it had the edge.

Splitting Generation Me is stupid. they will suck as singles wrestlers. team 3d now gen me split up. who next? TNA's tag team division is sucking.

something.

It is as close to a guarantee as you can find: Jeff Hardy will never be in WWE again, and rightfully so. He is a bomb waiting to go off, unsafe to work with and has more issues than DC comics.

You seem to be the only one. Jeff Hardy has been given MONSTER pushes with BOTH companies with EXACTLY the same results, HE HIMSELF fucked them up with his drug abuse and unprofessionalism. At the VERY least it seems RVD learned HIS lesson, his TNA run has been good and he hasny had any incidents. Both Matt and Jeff have run their course in pro wrestling. They SHOULD move on now before they destroy what actual credibility and good they HAVE gained.

I agree with about half of your statement. I'm not a huge Jeff Hardy fan but he did A LOT to help TNA further get their name out there and sell a lot of merchandise in the process. Also when he first came back earlier last year he was having GREAT matches with Kurt Angle, Ken Anderson, and RVD. So.. I dunno... DOES ANYONE THINK BEFORE THEY COMMENT IN THIS SECTION?

Posted By: Jeremy Stubner (Guest)  on April 08, 2011 at 11:43 AM

Truth you're an idiot, and here's why.

Jeff Hardy is a man with a problem. If TNA abandons him without forcing a rehab, that does the man no good. If they tell him he must complete rehab and submit to drug tests, then they send the message that they care about his actual condition, something the WWE has done, and I would commend them for that.

If you want to write off a human being because he isn't your idea of what a quality individual should be, encourage others do the same, when said human needs more help than ever, then I shudder to think what kind of human being you are.

Grow up, life is short, let's try to be helpful while we're here ok? Thanks.

The only reason TNA won't be interested in films anymore is because ever since WWE admitted defeat by saying they're no longer a wrestling company, TNA doesn't need to pull out the big stops to become the #1 wrestling promotion in the world, since well they're no official the #1 wrestling promotion in the world!

The differances between WWE films and what TNA films would've been like:

Yes WWE films are straight to DVD at Walmart. But at least WWE films could get someone like a Patricia Clarkson or a Danny Glover or an Ed Harris to be in their movies. I bet none of them even heard of or cares about TNA. And WWE films is finally being smart by getting actual actors to be the MAIN stars of the movies (with the exception of that HHH movie) and the WWE superstar in the supporting type role.

LMAO!!! Can you imagine??? With the product TNA puts out???? Can you imagine the kind of movies they would produce!!! LOL!!! Do it! Crash and BUUUUUURN!

I can't be the only one that remembers Paparazzi Productions, can I?

Please. Vince has more money than god and better Hollywood contacts, and his movies are mediocre at best and eyeball-gouging at worst. Can you imagine how horrific a TNA-produced movie would be?

I was at a TNA House Show lastnight, and the Don West Brown Bag Special was a new Jeff Hardy shirt that he said Jeff himself requested be sold only at live events and 4 DVD's.

Yes. And that they make bonehead grammatical errors like "no official the #1 wrestling promotion in the world."

A winner is you, indeed.

In a word, yes. They actually think they're going to change people's minds by douching up the comments section. At best, all they're doing is riling up easily-manipulated WWE fans and failing to accomplish anything of merit. It's a failing business model, but that's how they roll. It's unfortunate, really, because the wrestling business thrives on competition, but this is about as far from a respectful rivalry as you can get.

i disagree. 2002-2004 (WWE) 2004-2006 (TNA) & 2002-2007 (ROH) those were the best of times.

Attitude wasn't the be-all end all era, but you are only fooling yourself if you don't get this excited amped up feeling watching stuff from that era, compared to what has been on tv since like 2005 or so. Either that, you're like 10, and only know Attitude from hearsay and youtube. I'll cut you some slack if it's the latter.

Eric Young and Orland Jordan re-creating buddy-cop movies and romantic comedies. Put it on TNA's Youtube page. As long as it doesn't waste TV time.

Jeff Hardy is a man with a problem. If TNA abandons him without forcing a rehab, that does the man no good.

Jeff Hardy had problems before going to TNA. TNA gave hardy a chance when WWE wouldn't. Jeff Hardy's rehab should be on WWE'S hands, not TNA'S.

Nothing to do with that guy. When WWE does entertainment well, it's an enjoyable addition to the wrestling. Problem is, they only do it well 10 - 15% of the times they attempt it.
