On Thursday night, I attended the latest FCW Television tapings at the FCW Arena in Tampa for broadcast on Bright House Sports Network Sunday nights at 6:00 PM. Here are the results:
I don't know if this match will air on the first show or if it was a dark match:
Donny Marlow and Kenneth Cameron defeated James Bronson and Erick Rowan.
Show Number One
Your announcers were Matt Martlaro and William Regal.
The show started off with footage of Bo Rotundo being attacked outside the building by Lucky Cannon and Damien Sandow to try to prevent Rotundo from making it to his FCW Title match later in the night in a No Disqualification Match against Cannon.
Match Number One: Leakee defeated Bobby Dutch
Russell Walker was interviewed and he talks about the other international wrestlers who have been in wrestling and he says that he will dominate in FCW.
Match Number Two: Mason Ryan defeated Monty Lynch
DeSean Bishop was interviewed and he said that he would take advantage of his time in FCW.
Steve Keirn informed Maxine that Bo is unable to wrestle tonight. Eventually Bo Rotundo storms into the office to go after Lucky Cannon and has to be held back. Maxine tells Cannon that everything has been taken care of.
Match Number Three: Damien Sandow (with Aksana) defeated Titus O'Neil
After the match, while O'Neil argued with the referee, Sandow attacked O'Neil.
Match Number Four: Lucky Cannon (with Damien Sandow, Aksana, and Maxine) defeated Bo Rotundo in a No Disqualification Match to retain the FCW Heavyweight Title.
There was a brief intermission before the remaining two shows were taped.
Show Number Two
Your announcers are Matt Martlaro, Byron Saxton, and William Regal.
Match Number One: Husky Harris defeated Johnny Curtis
Jinder Mahal was interviewed and he said that he will make himself get noticed in FCW and he will be a champion.
Match Number Two: Calvin Raines defeated DeSean Bishop
Brad Maddox took over the interview area and he showed us footage from his ‘new movie' The Referee co-starring Peter Orlov. After the clip, Orlov joins Maddox.
Match Number Three: Los Aviadores (Epico and Hunico) defeated Leo Kruger and Rick Victor in a Number One Contender's Match
Miroslav Makarov was interviewed.
Match Number Four: Titus O'Neil defeated Damien Sandow (with Lucky Cannon, Aksana, and Maxine)
After the match, Cannon and Sandow try to attack O'Neil but he is able to escape and bark another day before they can do anything to him.
Show Number Three
Your announcers were Matt Martlaro, Byron Saxton, and William Regal.
Match Number One: FCW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Richie Steamboat defeated Los Aviadores (Epico and Hunico) to retain the FCW Tag Team Titles.
Maxine and Steve Keirn were talking in the back.
Match Number Two: Xavier Woods defeated Michael Tarver
Jacob Novak was interviewed and he took a few shots at William Regal at the announce table.
Match Number Three: FCW Divas Champion and Queen of FCW Aksana (with Maxine) defeated Naomi Knight.
After the match, Maxine and Aksana tried to attack Naomi but AJ Lee came out to help Naomi and they are friends one more time.
Match Number Four: Leakee, Big E Langston, Titus O'Neil, and Mr. Florida (Bo Rotundo wearing a mask) defeated Conor O'Brian, Mason Ryan, Damien Sandow, and Lucky Cannon (with Maxine and Aksana)
Thoughts on the tapings:
The match of the night was the Rollins and Steamboat versus Los Aviadores match for the Tag Titles. It went between 15 and 20 minutes and showcased four of the top talents in FCW. It definitely stood out from the other matches on the show.
I did not hear any mention during the show in promos about why Brett DiBiase was not on the show. They added Damien Sandow to Lucky Cannon's group this week.
Speaking of promos. I don't know if it was because of the size of the crowd, but it was very difficult to hear any of the interviews that were done on the three shows.
This was the first time that I saw Erick Rowan or DeSean Bishop in action.
It was weird to see Ryan booked as a heel when he got one of the better crowd reactions. He did come out to Nexus' music and wore the arm band.
Meanwhile, I don't remember Husky Harris coming out to Nexus' music during the show but he did not have the arm band on.
Of the three FCW shows that I have attended at the FCW Arena, this was the biggest crowd by far.
Vickie Guerrero was at the tapings, but was not used on any of the shows even though her daughter Raquel Diaz did the ring announcing for the first show and the interviews on the other shows. With Vickie in the building, if they were going to be taping the Mother's Day show (which would have been covered at the last set of tapings), it would have been a nice touch to have Vickie do something with her daughter.
I thought that since the pay per view is taking place in town this weekend that there might have been more WWE wrestlers appear on the show.
At the end of the night, they held a raffle to give out six sets of tickets for the Extreme Rules pay per view.
