Lucha News: CMLL Files patent On Sin Cara, Mesias Kidnapping Story, More
– WWE failed to patent the Sin Cara name in Mexico, so CMLL decided to it instead.
– Aero Star & Jack Evans are heading to NOAH to work their Jr. Heavyweight tag team tournament from July 16th through July 30th.
– AAA “reportedly” sent out a press release stating that El Mesias (Judas Mesias in TNA) as kidnapped on Sunday as he was flying from Mexico City to Monterrey. Mesias’ wife reported the situation to AAA offices saying that before they were to board their flight, he left to take a smoke and when he went outside, he was attacked and abducted. AAA has since denied that they sent out the press release, but did not deny the kidnapping story.
Mesias has since dispelled the rumors saying that he was never kidnapped or attacked, but that he had some issues coming in from Cancun to Mexico City where he was connecting to Monterrey. This forced him to miss the show, and he did say that his wife talked with AAA. AAA Executive Vice President Dorian Roldan co-signed Mesias on Twitter saying that the story was false and nothing like that happened.
